Afternoon, cheetah friends!
Judy :: oh, I love NKC’s “The Christmas Song”…I have done HSC using the BOSU before…I think the high step w/outs are ideal for this…my abs are really sore from doing the 4DS core work on it yesterday.
Marcia :: Merry Christmas to you, too.
Wendy :: I’m sure the Coach bangle bracelet is lovely…enjoy!
Sunny :: I do think people who don’t see us as often can notice the changes better sometimes than we can…wow, a 12% incline! I don’t think my TM even goes up that high.
Carole :: the casserole was pretty good, but it needed the beans, IMO…I love “Holly Jolly Christmas” – gotta be Burl Ives! I hope you get that BOSU.
Lori :: I’m chuckling at the description of DD’s behavior – only b/c I am experiencing the same indifferent attitude with one of my students, and it makes me nuts, too! He appears to care about *nothing*…There are issues with him occasionally, and I have to remind myself that there’s a reason he’s developed that tough exterior. Usually even those who pretend not to care, really do deep down.
Christine :: the Santa tracker is pretty cool…I’m so glad you scored Blokus…It really is a good game – I’ve played it a few times and have it in my classroom…My holiday will be quiet up until I arrive at my aunt’s – then it’ll get LOUD. *lol* I did leg presses using the BOSU yesterday…since it isn’t that high up, I did a knee lift, so it was more of a balance exercise. It did challenge my legs, but in a different way than a typical leg press.
Lorie :: Yippee on the 25# DBs…I’ll share in your new equipment joy!!…Love the pics…I even recognized my card on the mantle…You look beautiful. Made me think what a DOPE your XDF/BF is. I am hoping he surprises you with a BOSU.
Jackie :: oh man! You have NO IDEA what you did for my day by paying me such a compliment…I’m eons away from Ms. A, but I thank you very much for such kind words! I even went out again TODAY for more. Scored a ski boot bag for $4.47 (ohhhh YEAH!), so that I don’t have to pack the boots in my suitcase.
Shelly :: hope you have a quiet night tonight…*lol* about making music with the wine goblets…I brought some kind of game to the Christmas Eve gathering one year, and since then, the clan looks to me for entertainment…Last year, I didn’t bring anything and they all complained. *lol*…So this year, I’m bringing Music Catchphrase…dang, I’m gonna have to try that BC u/b circuit. Sounds fun!
Linda :: I’m in a great mood, just calm and relaxed and low-key…I’m sorry about your Dad
...I do get a little bummed out about missing my fam who live overseas. Earlier today, I called my aunt and cousin whom I'm closest with, and it was great to hear their voices but a little sad, too. But I snap right back into happy thoughts.
...I’m thinking we just check in randomly whenever re: the gifts…what does everyone else think?
I've not worked out yet...I woke up feeling a little "off" this morning...Thought I would shake it, but I'm still sniffly and coughing and kinda queasy. Weird. Hope I don't come down with anything. Listening to my body (mostly the puke feeling), I will probably NOT go for the cardio today and am leaning toward one of the SMs rather than yoga. Don't like doing inverted poses when my sinuses feel a little jacked up.
My answers to the questions:
1. "Holly Jolly Christmas" - Burl Ives, "It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas," "and "All Alone on Christmas" (I think that's the title -- it's from Home Alone.)
I also love U2's version of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)", Wham's "Last Christmas," "Christmas in Hollis" Run DMC, and Band Aid's "Do They Know it's Christmas?"
2. A Wii system. I'll buy it for myself after the holidays.
3. Unique is probably that we celebrate German Christmas...We open all gifts on Christmas Eve. Don't think I have a favorite tradition now, but as a kid, it was piling into my uncle's car and all of us going to see a local house that was all lit up. You could walk through the yard, and they had a little display area where there was a miniature village with trains and boats set up. I could've stared at it for hours.
All right, gotta go do some cleaning and then get cleaned up for dinner at my aunt's. Merry Christmas, all!
