Sunday Check in

Wow, I cannot believe I"m up so late---I"m checking prescriptions---we have piles that need to be checked over before they can be filed.

No nookie last night, DH has a terrible cold. Rats. I had such nice slippery mucous. Oh well, next month it is.

I think I will do a Hardcore Extreme Interval workout today...if I'm not too burnt out from my late night of work. I"m about ready to crash. :)

Kate, I noticed you posted yesterday AM too. Great minds think alike! That's cute, that's not the first time that has happened, is it?

I"m up for the day now. We have church, maybe some pool time, workout, checking some more prescriptions...and just a day of relaxation.

I hope all you beautiful ladies are having a great day. :)

Hi! We just got back from church. My DS was supposed to start Sunday School, and what happened made me . Last week, I signed him up for Sunday School. I gave the form to his teacher, and she knew his age and told me that he is fine to start SS. This week, we went to the early service, and I went to check out his SS room at the end of the service. I saw one of the 3 teachers standing outside the room, and this is a lady who I don't know. On the door, there was a sign that said "4-year old and Kindergarten age". I approached this woman and said, "Oh, where is the 3-year old room." She said that they didn't start SS until 4-years old. I told her I registered my DS last week, and I talked to the woman I know and she told me that it would be o.k. for him to start (I had no clue it didn't start till 4-years old). She told me to bring him anyway and see how he does. So, after church, DH and I walked DS to his SS room. It was so small, and there was a long table with big chairs and these SS books at the chairs on the table.

To make a long story short, DS sat at the table and his teacher (the lady I didn't know) didn't even say hello (to any of the kids). My DS started to cry, and it was real (not like he was playing us). She never even comforted him. I walked back into the room and told her that we were leaving, and we'll try him next year. She just said, "oh, o.k.". WTF? When I went to SS, the teachers were so nurturing and friendly, as they SHOULD be. I told DH that we need to look for a new church. We never felt welcome in the 4 years we've been going to this church. The people seem so snooty, and it's not in my head. Thanks for letting me vent!!!

Aside from that, I am looking forward to a visit from my parents, and they are bringing food (yeah):D. It is 96 here today and very humid. Where is fall weather?

Take care!
-Jen

Oh Jen, I'm sorry. That sounds like a negative environment, not what the body of Christ is made of.

I cannot believe it's so hot there still. It's about 55 degrees here. It's nice to have my sweaters out. I think I'll convert the little boys dressors to Fall/Winter too...it I have enough time. I have loads of laundry to do (no pun intended). ;)

Will check back later, where is everyone?!?!?

Hi Everyone!
Jen and Melanie,y ou guys are the only ones on the check in today! well..here i am!! :)

I slept in until 1130 and was online trying to sort out this nursery furniture ir eally want from one lady (but no truck to pick it up with) and the other business of a free crib (cant get in touch with these people...aggrevating!).

Anyhoo...around 1230 i decided to workout. I did GS Legs and my lower body is feeling it. I didnt do cardio..i might later, but who knows. I wanted to see my husband before he leaves for work this evening.

Hope you are all having a great day.
Enjoy the sweaters melanie - i live in Fla so its summer all year round and it is very hot this weekend. Sometimes imiss the cooler weather and the seasons (but if i had to work in it again, i'd say heck no).
Jen sorry about the SUnday school. I believe you should find a new church. The church i go to is extremely welcoming. They even want to give me a baby shower and I dont know them that well. Our church in VA was very friendly too. We are Lutheran. I hope you find a new church, they dont seem very friendly!

JenM, That would be AWESOME to get that crib! How cool! I hope it works out. Good job on the nesting too!

Melanie, Hoping for next month for you! trying to get pg is NOT FUN! It's not QUITE fall weather here yet - except for all this rain we're getting! Sweater weather will be a few weeks away.

JenP, Sorry you had such a bad experience this AM. THat would be very frustrating, to say the least! Too cool about your parents bringing food!!! I LOVE when that happens, esp. post-partum!

Not much to report here - church, lunch with DH's fam. No plans for the rest of the day. I love Sundays!

Hey Girlies!
Melaine- I love sweater weather! The lows will be in the 50s here for a few days and I will love it! Won't stay that way right now, but I"ll get a taste of Fall.
Jen-We are having a tough time finding a church here. In Miss our church was so down to earth and welcoming and I go there as often as I can. I miss it!!! My dh is Catholic and I am Methodist. My dh goes to Meth church with me and dd and is an "associate member".
Kate-HI girl! Hope there are no tears in the morning!
Jenm-keep us posted on the crib! You sleep late now girl, you just wait!!
No af yet. I noticed a little leakage from my right boobie today..I never do that unless Im preg. I have heard this as a pms symptom though. If no af by morning I will test.
We are having fajitas tonight and I tried this new recipe for Skinny Tortilla Soup... I hope its good!

Susan, Thanks for the well-wishes for Gina! You are too kind! We need all the help we can get! She's in a super mood tonight, yay! Oh, you've got me/us on pins and needles waiting to hear about AF!:D Fingers and toes crossed! Your dinner sounds absolutley delicious! Mine was almonds, m&ms, and watermelon!

Getting so much done around here! DH is nesting!!!!:D I'm going with it - feels so good to get so much done!

Jen M-We are Lutheran also. Lutheran churches are slim pickens around here, but we'll check some out.
Thanks for all your kind words, girls.
Kate-Wishing for a tear-free morning! Hey, teachers get anxious too:eek: (especially on the first day of school). Not that I'm speaking from experience;).
Talk to you all tomorrow!
-Jen

Oh Susan I"m hoping this is IT!!!! Doing the pg dance for you...

Kate, it's really soon after m/c...so I'm not anxious about TTC yet. The difficult part is manipulating DH to do the deed with me during my fertile period. *Sigh*, my libido is much stonger than his,...it's almost like I have to BEG him to have sex with me!...and then when I"m ovulating....watch out! TMI, I know.

Where is everyone else today? I didn't get my workout in. :( I did about 3 hours of prescription checks, 7 loads of laundry, church, and that's about it. I don't even feel like I spent nearly enough time with the kids as I wanted.

Tomorrow's another day. :)

Jen, I hope YOUR school day goes well tomorrow!;):D

Melanie, We have the same libido problem at our house too! I can more than sympathize! Sounds like you had a full day - hope you have a good one tomorrow!

WO was C&W minus the last cardio and abs. sigh.........I miss working abs....

I haven't given up completely. I may jump on the elliptical for 20 minutes or so........ I don't know.........maybe it's too late......

Susan I will keep my fingers and toes crossed too for you :)
Jen, lutheran churches are also slim pickin's around here too. We really loved our church in VA but we have a hard time in FLA. there arent that many. And my husband is super picky. He's very religious and into the bible and such a good christian, and so smart. He really wants to be a pastor, but never went to college so he cant attend seminary. I hope you find a church you like soon. What state do you live in?

Melanie 7 loads of laundry??? are you serious? :) The most i've ever done at once is two. i guess that will change when baby comes!

I did GS legs earlier. Tonite i dcided to do cardio and i dont know why but i pulled out hardcore extreme - havent done that in forever. i did the hi/low intervals with imax 3/lowmax/drills from kickmax. Oh my goodness that felt tough. My achilles is bothering me lately and that workout did NOT help.

Since DH is off mon/tues i wont work out for two days. So it makes up for it. Plus i snacked and ate too much earlier today.

Tomorrow i'm either getting a coworker to drive their truck, or renting a uhaul with my dad, to go pick up a crib and armoire. I did not hear back about the free crib and this other lady is anxious to sell and its such a good deal. Im getting a crib and mattress for $100 and the armoire for $200 (the armoire retails for about 500 and they dont sell it in white). She is also selling a dresser/changing table that is gorgeous for $200 but not quite yet. SUcks because i'd have to go thru the problem of finding a truck just to pick it up. But for $500 i can have a whole nursery plus a crib mattress. Not bad right? The things on my registry add up to at least 750 so i'm saving a little this way. I probably dont need both an armoire and changing table/dresser combo...but it looks so nice i kinda want it. I can always sell later if its too much...right? I dont have muc luck selling things down here though so who knows.

So hopefully tomorrow evening will go smoothly. I have no room for this nursery stuff so my office room is going to be waaay cramped but if i hold off i wont be able to get them and i've been having ahard time finding baby furntiure that is nice, strudy, and affordable and these fit the bill.

I hope you all have a great nite. Its pouring rain and thundering and lightening here. Blech. Gotta get up early tomorrow...another work week ahead!

Jen, sounds like a great nursery deal! Yes, 7 loads of laundry...and we have a front loader that I fill to rim! I only do laundry on the weekends (worked Friday & Sat this week).

I don't have any of it put away. That'll have to wait until Wednesday, my next day off. There's no way I can do it next two days...will be gone 14 hours/day. I"m helping out pharmacist in town this week too, so I'll be working extra days for him so he can go on vacation. I'm still recouperating from being unemployed, so the $ will help........did I hear Christmas? My husband mentioned it today?!?!? I was like, what!?!?!? I'd like to boycot (sp?) all gifts this year...but I"m sure I'd be all alone. My DH is a firm beliver of spending mega amounts on our kids. It makes me sick on Christmas morning to see everything they get. We're talking about 30 gifts per kid. *sigh*. Here I go babbling again......
