Hello Wendy. I'm here to entertain you now. What did you dream about?? I was up at 5 am myself usually I'll lay in bed till 5:45.

Well. I went clothes shopping last night. I am happy to report that in the winter I was in a size 16 jeans and I am now in a 12!! :7:7 I even did all my shopping in the Petite department!! I always shopped in the Plus dept. because I wanted everything to be big and cover me up!! I bought the cutest little baby doll tank tops on clearance too! It is Soooooooooo much fun to shop when you know you've lost weight! :)

Today I'm doing Beach Body's Slim Thighs 2x (it's really short), All Step cardio and Freestyle upper body which is 10, 4 sets of 12 reps exercises.

What's up with all of you?

Thin Thighs is very short, yes, but last I did it, it was still painful! }( I plan to start using that one again soon myself....

Since I am up so early, I have already eaten breakfast and had a cup of java. I think I will have another cup of java and then I'll go get my work out done EARLY!

I may go out to lunch today with a friend. This afternoon I am going to my mom's for a visit. She is going away for the weekend so we can't do our usual friday evening visit.

Good Morning Friends,

Well today is my rest day and I am going grocery shopping today. I was in a fix last night when I open up the cupboard to see chocolate chip cookies staring back at me. Made these for my son who is deprived because I don't like cookies in the house. LOL! Anyhow, I could not allow myself to have one. I was going nuts for some kind of chocolate so I gathered my senses and grabbed some nuts, bars of bakers chocolate and some splenda and make chocolate covered peanuts. When I get to the store, I will get my chocolate protein bars so I can survive better. I buy so many as it is, but they never last. Never!

Kali, Thanks for the reminder of doing the 1000 crunches. I did them while watching TV. I took a minute pause inbetween the 100's. I did them from all angles. My DD boyfriend was over and he said that I inspire him. He is going into Boot Camp next week.
You know all that crunching makes my throat dry and I sound hoarse for abit after I am done. Hmmm.

Enjoy your rest day. You definatley DESERVE one! LOL.If I know you, you'll end up doing something fitness related. Even if it's cleaning with ankle weights on!! ;) Just kidding.

I did all my workout as planned. Really felt it after PowerHour yesterday. That workout suprises you I think.

Guitar lesson today. I'm doing pretty good. I'm learning this Blues Progression thing that I don't like. I don't like Blues. But it trains you to start learning how to move your fingers on the strings. I voiced my feelings on it and was told to learn it anyway. Having an IL for a guitar teacher has it's ups and downs. LOL. It's fun tho. And I have to admit I get such of sense of accomplishment when I do get something. So it's all good.

I just had scrambled egg whites with tomatoes and peppers and a little bit of 2% cheese. Very yummy.
Have fun grocer shopping Charlotte. Stock up on those protein bars!!
They are lifesavers!!

Wow, those eggs sound yummy done up like that. Might have to make me some in about an hour.
I didn't know you took guitar lessons. That is great. I love music myself, but don't play anything. I love to listen to Big Band & Swing when I clean or make a nice dinner. I listen to hard rock when I workout though. Funny when I am cleaning and working out the same. I will go from one extreme of music to the other. I've been told too that I am very moody. LOL

HA! Me too! My moods swings like a pendulum I'm told! LOL. :7

I love Big Band and Swing. In fact my cousin wants to take Swing lessons. He said he'd pay so I should go with him. Be another way to work out. It's amazing the different muscles you feel when you dance.
Sometimes I'll be listening to J-Lo or Metallica and then all of a sudden I'll be in the mood for Frank Sinatra. Usually when I'm cooking I like him.
Told you my mood swings. LOL.

I was reading your post on the other thread about gross stuff. LOL!
You should see the way Stinky (our English Bulldog) drools after running around from outside. She drools everywhere. LOL!
Plus I noticed a few mentioned about spitting that was gross. Exactly what I do when I run. LOL! Can't help it. Plus I have to blow my nose alot when I get my heart rate up high.
Funny thread, but just didn't want to keep hogging it. Feeling mighty chatty today! LOL!

Charlotte-Stinky is just too darn cute for words!! I'd let her drool on me any day! ;) Buy as many protein bars as you have to if it will keep you away from those darned chocolate chip cookies, woman! :p }( :7

Kali-Have a good guitar lesson and CONGRATS on dropping 2 (if I remember correctly) pants sizes! That is just sooo awesome girl! Keep it up!!!:7 :7 :7

So here is my work out today...starting at 7am mind you...I must have been outta my mind, I tell ya! :p

*Body Max w/u

*BM power circuit once as produced

*BM power circuit 2nd time with the following UB exercises plugged in (instead of lower body): chest press/push ups/one arm rows/rear delt flies/military shoulder press/bent arm lat. raise/long lever side lat. raise/bicep curls-traditional,hammer,crazy 8s/tricep kickbacks.

This took 57 minutes not including the w/u.

Then I flew right into IMAX 2 and did the 1st 4 intervals followed by BM Abs and Stretch. PHEW! All in all it was an hour an 45 min work out! Good thing sometimes that Joey likes to sleep late!;)

Burned over 800 calories!

Good morning, ladies!

I did the step portion from SJP and S&H back & chest. I feel great and my chest/back/arms are already very sore! yay, me! I love getting back into working out.

Thanks for all of your well wishes on the promotion, I am very excited at the change. :)

I have a question for all of you: what workouts do you own/do besides Cathe? I am trying to expand my library somewhat and so far it's been hit or miss for me. Mostly I am looking for other cardio-type options or yoga/pilates.

Suggestions appreciated!!!

Hi Marie. I love SJP! Glad you're sore! I don't have any other worthwhile workouts. Just old stuff from Sports Illustrated, Beach Body, Buns of Steel. There's a thread running on what other w/o's besides Cathe's. I think it's right at the top. So you may want to check there.

I'm off to drop the boys up Mom's and to my lesson! Wish me luck! :)

Marie: I was a Firmie prior to Cathe. Thier older stuff is more challenging than the newer stuff but I believe that a work out is what you make of it...just use higher impact/intensity or heavier weights and you have a harder work out! :) BTW---Have fun shopping!}(

Kali: Thanks!:) My work out was a bit on the long side for my liking but it was a good challenge for me! Lots of high intensity cardio going on there!!!}( }( }(

Ok, I'm outta here until tonight now...have a couple of things to take care of and then me and Joey are going out for the rest of the day.

Hi Guys. Just checking in. DH's Aunt died Tuesday from cancer and she's being viewed tonight. So he's gone there and I'm here w/ the boys since I couldn't get a sitter. I'm going to the funeral tomorrow morning though.
My IL's just took my niece to college. I feel horrible. She was my flower girl 10 years ago and she was so small. I don't know where the time went. And to top it off my little guy got his Welcome to Kindergarten letter with a letter from a Mom to her child about the first day of Kindergarten. I think I'm going to post it. I lost it when I read it.
I feel like an emotional wreck right now. I'm going out later when DH gets home. I hope that cheers me up.

Going out by yourself may do you some good. I don't know what the weather is like out your way or if you mean you are going for a walk or something like that, but it is perfect here for a walk. Geez, maybe I rested long enough and should run? Well you do something good for yourself whatever that may be. Tomorrow is a new day and I hope you feel better than. Just try to get lots of rest too, that will help clear your head. Take care...will be thinking of ya. No pressure about the crunches.

Thanks Charlotte. It's funny. I'm ok, I'm just so damm sad! I'm sitting here freaking crying! Oh well. Sometimes I hate being a girl. LOL.
