Summer check in Thursday, 8/18/05

Hi Wendy and Kali- I am happy to see that someone is still here. I am freaking out cause I feel like crap and want to feel better! I am so paranoid that I won't be better by my trip. Also paranoid that my workouts will suffer. I am on antibiotics so maybe tomorrow I will feel better. I have been working out but i know my intensity is down. SO is my appetite except for my craving BAD things. Do you guys ever crave bad things when sick? Thanks for listening to me whine:) I actually cried for 30 minutes because I am sick!

Kali that is so awesome about your dancing! And the cheerleader stuff. That would be too cool:)

Wendy i eat fat free soft serve frozen yogurt from a shop near where I live. I love it!

Hey Terri. I didn't know you weren't feeling well. I'm sure the antibiotics will kick in soon and you'll start feeling better.
Probably because your not up to par and still working out hard, you're body is craving bad stuff. It just wants stuff for fuel. Are you drinking orange juice? I hear that's good when your intensity is down. Cheer up. I got a cold last week at the end of vacation and I was like I better not get laid up with this! So I can relate. When do you leave for vacation? Rest until then. Modify your workout tomorrow A LOT. You don't want to make yourself worse!

Terri-I know being sick stinks...especially with a vacation coming up...I think you should stop working out until you've kicked the bug 100%! If you push yourself it will take you longer to get better! I too will crave junk when sick so you are not alone. I have cried because I've felt really crappy for too long and was so frustrated with it already that I broke down. I felt better afterwards...mentally anyway. Relax and take care of yourself and hopefully you'll be on your feet in no time! Antiobiotics usually start kicking in pretty fast so you should be starting to feel better by tomorrow I would think. :)
 
Thanks Wendy and Kali:) I leave next thursday so I know I am over reacting but I can't help it. Thanks for your kind words it REALLY helped me. I may take a rest day tomorrow if I wake up still feeling crappy. Thanks Again

Yes I think you should rest. You are not doing your body any good by working out when you feel like crap! You might prolong your recovery!
You're not overreacting. Believe me. I'll be the same way when I get a bug. You'll see. Then you'll be cheering me up! That's what we're here for. Go to sleep and check in in the morning! Talk to you then.
