suggest a rotatation for uninitiated?

I've been doing Cathe for a couple of months now, though I'd been keeping moderately in shape with jogging and step classes as my gym for several years. I've purchases several Cathe work-outs and have been loving them and doing then six days/week and holding my own pretty well in most of the tapes (with the exception of extended sequences of plyo/airborn jacks). Now I'm at a point where I want to get on a rotation schedule. I've never done anything like that before and I think it would be motivating and that I'd get better results. Would any of you ladies minds suggesting a sample week rotation for me? When I look at other people's rotations, there are always workouts that I don't have, although I realize it would be easy to figure out substitutes. But just for kicks, would ya? My goals are: 1)calorie burn (want to lose 10lb), 2)muscle/core strengthening. Here are the tapes that I got. Thanks.

step jam
power max
all step
power hour/MIS/body max
pyramids DVD
Push/pull/supesets
step blast
imax2/cardio & wieghts
rhythmic step/imax 1/MIC
bootcamp DVD (forget what else is on it)
KPC coming in the mail soon

I will try my hand at it, we have similar goals so here goes:

M - Bootcamp
T - PUB and IMAX2 intervals 1-5
W - Step Blast
T - PLB and IMAX@ Intervals 6-10
F - KPC or any cardio done without a step
S - PUB and PLB Mix up only (Total Body)

S - Rest
M - Body Max
T - Boot Camp Abs Only
W - MIS
T - MIC
F - All Step
S - Cardio And Weights

S - Rest
M - Push Pull Upper (Double) and Imax intervals 1-5
T - Step Jam
W - Push Pull Lower (Double) and Imax intervals 6-10
T - KPC
F - Push Pull entirely single
S - Step Blast

I haven't used everything you have but you could alternate the second week inbetween strength weeks (2nd week being mostly circuit type workouts). I am not sure how long you workout but if you are limited to an hour then I would do only say the push pull double on one day and the entire IMAX on the next day, if you have an hour and a half it will work out fine. If you need an extra rest day each week I would alternate it between a weight training and a cardio day.

Thank you so much! Usually, I have an hour and a half to work out, so this rotation will be great. Today is Tuesday so I will pick it up with PUB and the IMAX2 intervals 1-5. Question about the 3rd week, what do you mean "double" s for the PP workouts?

Is your own rotation similar to this, how long have you been doing it, and what results have you seen? I'm frustrated about stubborn fat around my middle that seemed to decrease a bit after the first month of Cathe, but I don't seen to have had any fat loss the past month. This rotation looks tough though, and of course there's the clean eating part that I have to be better about. Again, thanks so much for helping. I am excited to give this a whirl.

Linda, on the PP workouts there is a premix where the upper and lower portions are doubled I think they are called "Upper Body Blast" and "Lower Body Blast" it cycles through the portion twice.

I got this rotation idea from a trainer, I have been doing something similar but I am changing lifting styles every two weeks. The circuits seem to help burn the fat off my body and my abs are getting better all the time. I am stuck with 10 lbs to lose and can't seem to make it budge, I am playing around with different things and tracking my progress.

I know you have only been working with Cathe workouts a couple of months so please be careful to listen to your body, from what you have been doing it looks like you can handle it. Take an extra rest day or a stretch day if you need it.

Hope it works for you!

Thanks again Kathy. Thanks for the tip about premixes. I bought alot of DVD's at once (fun fun fun) and have been kept pretty happy with the variety, so that I haven't checked out any of the premixes yet. But I have been feeling that the weight work-outs don't have enough reps on each muscle group to challenge them, so the doubles are going to be just the thing.

I find the interval workouts really effective in fat loss, but they are hard on your body I think, especially when you are packing those extra pounds and exercising on carpet. So, I will indeed be very cautious about how intensely I do those (not that I can keep up with some of that stuff no matter how hard I tried). Thanks again for your help, and good luck to you.
