Substitute for pull-ups

exercise-lover

In the clip for one of the up-coming full body weight DVDs (I forgot which one), I noticed that the gang is doing pull ups on a bar. Is there a good substitute for this exercise for those of us who don't own that piece of equipment? Thanks.

Bump...

Pendlay Rows? but without seeing how it fits into the routine, more back focused vs. more pull up focused?

would like to know too.:)

In the STS program, it's proposed to those who don't have a bar to use the tube instead and do some resistance tubing. I suppose it's the same for the new DVDs.

However, if you don't have already the tube and you don't plan to use it for other exercises, I would suggest you to consider to buy a bar to put on a door, it costs around $20.-, at least where I live (Switzerland), no idea in US - and allows to do pull-ups and chin-ups.

Cheers,
Anna

I thought maybe you meant this one....? The article says it's chin ups. To work back & biceps. I thought it was the inverted row. It's the different hand position.
