STS RECOVERY WEEK DAY #4

Hi All!

Today is going to be my light day. I didn't sleep well at all last night and feel that a super intense workout would go against me today. So how perfect that my Silver Sneaker senior class landed on a day like today.

What are you doing today?
 
Cathe - Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight :). Actually several here are aching or not sleeping well so I hope everyone feels back to par soon!

Today I did the SB abs from Ab Circuit (or should I say I TRIED to do some of them :p ) along with TBS # 2. Later on today I will take a walk (about 40 minutes) including lots of hill work.
 
Great workout this morning! I did Cardio Coach #8, with my bike on the trainer in the basement:) (it's still winter here:(). CC8 was perfect for today. It's intense, but more of an endurance/steady state nature, than an interval kind of way. I chose it because I wanted to do Challenge 2 - the 2x8min L3 steady states. Love, love, love those. The music is absolutely awesome for those! The best 16 mins of any CC, IMO (but they're all amazing, aren't they?).

I'm with you on the poor sleep! All week I've had very short nights, and it sure takes it's toll .:confused:

This morning I did hills on the stationary bike for a 40 min. workout.
I need to fit in abs later.

I am going Boot Camp today - with light weights - nothing heavy - just enough to feel a little burn. I have not done this one in a while and it really gets my huffin and puffin!!

Hey Cathe!

Since I walked about 7 miles yesterday, my feet were really sore, so today I did a shortened version of Cardio Fusion (skipped the BM2 step portions... ). Came to about 45-50 minutes. My feet thanked me.

Hope you get some better sleep tonight!

Hi everyone. I did a TaeBo workout this morning that included quite a bit of floor work and I'm going for a walk this afternoon.

I had a ball literally doing stability ball abs early this morning.:p WOW, those pikes. Normally I would have attempted that after cardio or STS so it was nice to just focus on that because it takes all you got!
I just feel like resting today and will dive into something sweaty tomorrow.

P.S. I've got my M2 WO cards all printed and ready to go...i'm excited.
 
Terrible night sleep last night too :( I have to go to a wedding tomorrow so I opted for less is more today. Lots of walking with my dog, my mom's dog and their friend. Ironically during rest week, my forearm and wrist are bothering me. I plan to rest as much as possible so I am back on track for Monday :)
 
Thursday

Today I ran the hill climb on my treadmill for 50 minutes. Felt fantastic! I had the headphones cranking out some good tunes so that kept me going. What is it about music that just keeps you motivated? Anyway, I still need to do some abs sometime tonight. It was chilly outside today, so I am indoors. Bummer! Have a great evening everyone! :D

3 min @ 138 BPM 75% or MHR
4 sprints 10 sec each @85-90% of MHR= 153 BPM
5 min @153-160 BPM 85% approaching 90% Of MHR

I haven't done Taebo in ages, this was fun.

STS-AB Circuits- Weights and Plates ABs= 19 min
Calories Burned= 117
The plate workout is fun and killer, man that gets you good!

Good evening everyone! Today I did another class offering at my gym. It was a Group Kick class. Those classes are always interesting because they try to start and stop on the beat with some type of flourish. It was a good class though and I sweated it up good!

I am looking forward to getting started with Mesocycle 2 next week!

I felt awful yesterday....typically it is my rest day and I took it with pleasure (so Sunday and yesterday I did nothing outside of walk a bit; usually I stretch, but I just didn't have the time or the energy). Probably better because I have a 15k sunday and then sts starts again monday, so I'll take all the rest I can get lol
