STS CLIP TONIGHT!!!

Well I've always heard the exercise you dread is probably hard cause its what you need the most. You obviously won't be dreading the exercises your strongest at.
I personally never liked pushups either and to be gut honest here I have always done them on my knees. why? I dunno... maybe 'the firm' taught me to. But since doing cathe I really wanted to be able to do them on my toes and as long as they do. So I just feel like it is a challenge to me. I am going to try to do them with one leg on knee and the other straight and switch that out till I'm all on toes then try to increase my amount I can do. Its just a matter of getting stronger. I can do it.. and so could you if you want ;) If I'm not there by the time STS is here I'll be doing the "girly" pushups on my knees still but I'm not giving up entirely nor do I feel bad about it that thats where I'm at at the moment. THere are other exercises that I can lift heavier than what Cathe chooses so I don't feel like I'm weak over all. Just certain areas need more work. I'm actually doing better already on my pushups and believe it or not I'm almost enjoying doing them now! Just hang in there!
 
I can only do six on my toes. It's true!! :eek: But two weeks ago I could only do 4. I'm WORKING at it, and I'm going to 51 in October. I've never been able to do them (old Firmie here too!!), and I talked myself into believing I never would be able to. HOGWASH. There's absolutely no physical reason why I cannot do them. So I decided to DO them. And I AM doing them!! I will work up to the point where I can do them ALL, right along with Cathe and the gang on STS, or even that insane first set in Gym Style Chest & Triceps. I refuse to use the word "never" any longer when it comes to exercises.

One of the reasons I am SO psyched about STS is it's coming at a perfect time in my life for it. I'm back to working out hard again, I've lost 7% bodyfat in 12 weeks with clean eating and working out 5 to 6 hours a week, and I can only get better from here.

Everyone has to do what feels right to THEM. This feels right to ME.

I just feel so dismal because I've never been able to do real BG pushups and probably never will. Now here is a ton of more pushups to remind once again how I fail to measure up fitness-wise.
It may make you feel better to know that during filming, the guys sometimes had to go to their knees to finish the sets (and a resounding "thunk" was heard). (They just weren't trained the way the regular crew was for endurance).

(I have this from someone who was at the Road Trip and talked to Chris about it).

I say do what you can, challenge yourself, and if you can never do BG push-ups, so what? But I'll bet you'll be able to do at least a few after a while. Don't give up.
