Hello All and Happy Mother's Day!:D

I didn't see a new thread so I figured I'd get one started!

Y'day I had a hang over from having TOO much fun at a party on Saturday night. :eek: I did the best I could and pushed out 15 minutes of hula hoop in the afternoon. Calling it an active rest day. Better then nothing!

This morning I hit the gym early though for ITread 20 minutes #9 and abs. When I got home I did half (25 minutes) of X-Train Fit:: Arms! Not fancy but very effective...and I only did HALF!!!!:)

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!! Mine was wonderful!!

Friday's workout was JM Body Relolution phase 1 workout 1 & 2. Saturday's workout was JM phase 1 wk 3 & 4, & Sunday's was JM phase 2 wk 5, 6 & 7. My daughter got this for me from somebody who didn't want it after they got it. So I'm doing them all just to check it out. I'm really enjoying it.

Hi gals!

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. I lounged around most of the day but got in a killer workout yesterday evening: GS: Chest/Triceps timesaver premix, GS: B/S/B timesaver premix, HiiT 30/30 + abdominals. I was whipped at the end! :eek:

This morning I did RapidFire Results. Love that one!

Kris: Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a good (and busy) time in Dallas. Oh man jumping back into STS with both feet aren't ya? :p I just finished a STS/LIS/Shock Cardio hybrid rotation. Fun stuff! ;) Smart to protect that shoulder. Keep at it! :)

Wendy: How's the running going? Still enjoying it? I'm impressed you did ANYTHING on Mother's Day! Especiallky after a night out. Just had to try out that new weighted hoop huh? :p I never workout after a night of fun, but i'm a wimp, lol! :p ;)

Wiggie: Ooohhh i've looked at JM's new Body Revolution series a few times. Glad you're enjoying it and can't wait to hear about your results!
 
Mooooorrrning!

Geez i'm dragging this morning. DH and I helped a friend move yesterday after work and didn't get home and in bed until after 11:00 pm last night. I ate like crap (several pieces of pizza + surgary cereal) but I figured I burned off most of the extra calories hauling boxes for 4+ hours. ;) :p

I was inches away from skipping my workout this morning but decided at the last minute to give it a shot. I could tell I was a little more fatigued than usual but I survived. :confused: Oh, I guess I should tell you my workout. LOL! :rolleyes: It was GS: back only, triceps only + a Shoulder Superset + 4DS: KB abs only.

Good Morning All!

Good job pushing through a work out you weren't amped up to do, Katie!:D

My work out for this morning was something I made up on my own. It's basically an interval strength and cardio circuit using my gymboss timer that focused on chest/back/legs and it went like this::

20 rounds @ 15 s rest/45 s work of jump rope, forward and backward alternating lunges, hooping, kettlebell swings and renegade rows. Then I did 20 reverse pull ups, 15 standard push ups and 30 narrow stance squats at the end just to make sure I was sufficiently fried! ;)

Katie:: I am really enjoying running again but keeping it low key. I'm not pushing to do any long runs or to run more then a couple times a week right now. I have so many other things in fitness to enjoy that I don't want running to "take over" like it did last time...atleast not yet! :p LOL

Wiggie:: Nice work outs!!! I tried to win a copy of JM's Body Revolution in FB but ofcourse that didn't work. :rolleyes:

That's all for now. I have a mani/pedi appointment I need to be at in 20 minutes so I will BBL!:cool:
 
Good morning!!

Monday's workout was the first cardio workout from Body Rev. It's only 30 minutes, I didn't add on anything, wasn't feeling that energetic. It's a good workout for a day like that.

Great workouts Katie!! & moving is indeed a workout in itself!! :D

Great mish-mosh Wendy!! ;) I saw a weighted hoop in TJ Maxx & almost bought it!! :p

I did CSS yesterday and Disc 18 today - felt great through both workouts - yay!

Katie - Way to push yourself to workout when you weren't feeling like it - go you! I'm sure hauling boxes negated any extra calories :)

Wendy - your mishmosh sound like a goodie! Hope you enjoyed the mani/pedi!

Wiggie - great JM workouts!

Good morning All!!

Tuesday's workout was wk 8 & 9 from Body Rev. They were weight workouts with a little cardio, abs & yoga moves with weights. It didn't really seem that hard, but if you saw how much I was sweating you'd say differently. :p

Great job Kris!! That shoulder must be feeling better.

Wendy, did you enjoy your mani/pedi?

Katie, hope you're not "dragging" this morning!! :D

Bridget, hope you're having fun at Disney!!

Wednesday's workout was Fire 60, no add ons.

Wendy, I've always preferred Zuzanna. I bought a weighted hoop from Walmart yesterday. It came with a dvd by Mia Finnigan. I haven't tried it yet.

Hello Ladies.:)

No work out for me yet today. Went to the food store in preparation for my son's Birthday party we are having here for family on Saturday. It took me 2 hours and I'm not done yet! I have to make atleast one more trip! :eek:

I am going to grab a cat nap once I post this and then hopefully grab a short work out before picking DS up from school (Bob's work out #1 or a ZWOW or BR). After that I plan to bring him to the gym with me so I can also get in a short run if I have the motivation and energy for it.

Wiggie:: I meant to comment on the weighted hoop the first time you mentioned it but I never did! Can't believe you left it in the store the first time you saw it!!! Glad you thought better of it and bought it then second time! Let me know how you like it! :D Be warned..the weight can make it a little tough on your middle (especially if you only wear a sports bra to work out) but you will get used to it and it's so worth it for the core work out it gives you along with the cardio!!!

Slight change of work out plans...

Ended up goin' off my rocker this afternoon and doing Bob's Work out(s) #1 and #2 back to back!!!!:eek::D:eek: Therefore I am giving up the afternoon run idea but hope to get it in tmrw morning immediately after I drop DS off at school and before I get involved in the insanity of party prep!!!

I am likely to be quite sore tmrw!:eek: Better make sure I have plenty of advil so I can properly lift my arms to cook!:p

Hi gals!

Sorry i've been MIA. I started feeling bad Tuesday afternoon and I finally went to the doctor this morning. The verdict? Strep throat. And it's my birthday. Who gets strep throat on their birthday?!?! :confused: Needless to say I haven't worked out since Tuesday. I may try something easy tomorrow...i'm just playing it by ear for now. Today has been the worst so far sickness wise. My throat feels like it's on fire and i've had a fever over 100degrees. Sigh.

Anyway, I couldn't take another second laying in the couch so I thought I would pop in for a few.

Wendy: Thanks so much for the birthday wishes on FB!! You're such a doll. :)

I'll be back tomorrow to catch up on personals. :)

Katie - so sorry you're sick! :( And on your birthday too, no fun! Hope you feel better soon - and hope you get to celebrate your birthday after you feel better.

Wiggie - Sounds like some great workouts you've gotten in - great job! - I checked out that Fitness organica website - very unique workouts there, I hadn't seen that site before.

Wendy - Great job getting that workout in - you really pushed it - getting them done back to back. Good idea on that advil! Hope you can lift your arms to cook :eek:

Hi Bridget - hope Disney was a blast!

I did LIC yesterday - I think I may actually end up liking that one, I didn't like it at all at first - just too much choreo for me :eek: - felt like I'd never get it, but it gets better each time (I so want to like it :confused: ) Today was Afterburn. My shoulder seems to be doing pretty well, definitely no worse than it was when I was completely resting it, and seems like it actually may be a bit better... go figure:)

forgot to say - I ordered a weighted hula hoop along with the book/dvd that Wendy posted about :eek::eek: Looking forward to trying that out:)

I did Disc 4 today, I forget about all those push-ups in Meso 1 in between:eek: I am protecting my shoulder still on those exercises that seem to tweak it - chest flies, lateral raises - but overall still feel like I'm getting good work done:)

Hi Wendy - how was your Itread? :) Are you sore today? Hope you have a great time at your son's birthday party! I'm really looking forward to getting the hula hoop, great core work!

Good Morning.

So I got my Itread in on Friday but no yoga...too much to do in preparation for my son's 7th B'day Party we had for him on Saturday. Lots of work but it was fun. He had a blast so it's all good. :)

Sunday was a busy day too in a way. We went to 9am Mass, then took the 30 minute drive to drop my son up by my mom b/c she was taking him to a circus as part of his B'day gift. From there we came home to change and grab clothes etc and off to the gym we went for a full body weight work out (Saturday was a rest day btw). Blew through that, took quick showers at the gym and went out for the afternoon to enjoy the weather just the two of us. DH shares ownership of a Corvette convertible with a cousin of his so we picked it up, put the top down and took off for the shore. We walked around, had lunch and just enjoyed a perfect day until we had to pick my son up around 4:30 from my mom's house. After that it was home to have party left overs for dinner and collapse from exhaustion for the second day in a row. LOL

Today's work out plan is yoga this morning and a run at the gym with DH after he gets home from work later. I need to burn some calories this week. :eek: I did NOT follow WW this weekend :rolleyes: and will be off of it again come Friday evening as we are going away for the holiday w/e! :D

Sorry for the book but it seems like I haven't posted in ages! :p

Kris:: I feel your push up pain today! We opened our work out up yday at the gym with Cathe's drop set of push ups from Gym Styles. OMG! :eek:
