Friday's workout was Addiction disc 3 & Saturday's workout was ZCUT Power Yoga. I liked it alot, I only had to modify a few moves. Maybe this will make me do yoga more often. :p

Hello Ladies. :D

This morning I created my own pt studio style circuit. 5 mins warm up and 30 mins work. I was sweating and my feet never left the ground! ;)

Wiggie:: Great work out! Um don't you say
Maybe this will make me do yoga more often.
about every new yoga work out you get?? :p Dinner at mom's was good. Now it's off to dinner at FIL's! There blows the diet! :rolleyes: Not that it was working anyway seeing the scale and the mirror and my clothes ALL hate me right now! :mad:

Sunday's workout was Pump & Burn(30 min). I didn't feel like doing an hour.

Wendy: Great workout!! You've always been able to put together great mish moshes, as a pt you're a natural!! Lol re the yoga, but I really mean it this time!! :D:rolleyes::p You & Katie say everything hates you right now, if I was as tiny as you guys I would probably be trying to gain weight!!:p I know you both look great!!:)

Good morning,

Saturday's workout was XTrain: Cardio Leg Blast + BM2: Upper Body only. My lower body is still sore from Saturday's fun. Yesterday was supposed to be a yoga day but ended up being a total rest day. I had a wee bit to much fun Saturday night and was a wee bit hung over yesterday. :D:confused::rolleyes: Today i've got Punch class scheduled for after work. I'm looking forward to the sweat fest!

Wiggie: Great job with Pump & Burn and this weekend's workouts. Lately i've been on a shorter workout kick (45 mins or less). Well, except for Saturday's workout. :) Awww, thank you for the sweet compliment. I think I just get frustrated with myself because I workout all the time yet eat like crap (relatively speaking) so I don't see any results. I know, no one to blame but myself, right? ;)

Wendy: You've been loving the pt studio and those crazy workouts! :p;) Are you still going to the other pt places? Yay for being busy at work! I agree it makes work go by so much faster. I'm so sorry you are battling the scale and your pants, too. :confused: It's very frustrating. I know for me there will be lots of family-meal events in the near future (mother's day, birthdays, etc.) which makes it that much harder. But we can do this!
 
Hello Ladies.:)

No work out for me this morning - it's group session night at the pt studio later! I am going in earlier this time to observe him working with a new client too! :)

Wiggie:: Never in my life have I ever TRIED to gain weight! :eek: Bite your tongue! :p Seriously though, we are all built differently and even 2 people who are the same height will look different at the same exact weight. So many factors so it's all good! ;)

Katie:: I am still going and interning at the regular gym. Still working on sales there while I await my cert, etc so I can start working. Sorry about the hang over. It happens! Hope it passed sooner rather then later! I just had 2 family meals in one weekend (BOTH PASTA TOO!!!!) so IKWYM there!:eek:

Hi ladies,

Today's workout was To The Max. Love that one EXCEPT for the core section. I do not like the upper body focus because I think it takes away from the core focus. But that's just me. :) Overall, though, I find this workout to be a stellar cardio sweat fest. My favorite type of workout. :D

Wiggie: WTG burning it up with Fire 55 EZ. Nothing like a little kickboxing to make life better. ;) Punch class was awesome as usual. Not quite as hard as last week, but still super tough! Thanks for asking. :)

Wendy: How was your group session last night? Killer i'm sure. :) Luckily the hangover wasn't that bad. I'm just a big baby. OMG I LOVE pasta!! Anything italian = yum.

Late lunch for me today...every tuesday pretty much because it's my shift to cover phones for the receptionist's lunch break.

Last night's group session was great! It hasn't changed much lately. He basically does the same work out for a month and then changes it. Gets me every time though! So he wants me to come in Wednesday night to go over the group session from a trainer's stand point bc he wants me to help him run the session with him on Saturday instead of taking it!!! :eek::eek::eek:

This morning's work out was my own creation built around the fact that I needed to catch up on 3 days worth of missed burpees! :eek: I chose to pull out my gymboss and make a tabata work out out of it!

5 minute warm up of body weight exercises like squats, lunges, push ups, downward dogs, planks, etc....then I did
24 rounds @ 10 rest/20 work:
rounds 1-8 - slow mountain climbers (knee to opposite elbow) and push up to side plank.
rounds 9-16 - one arm kettlebell swings and burpees
rounds 17-24 - back rows/flys and more burpees
I ended it with some foam rolling and YES a little STRETCHING too!;)

Wiggie:: I think I still need to try 55 EZ! Which TF is your fave btw? You are not alone on the weight loss! I've been up and down more times then I care to remember in the last twenty years! :eek:

Katie:: I have to agree with you on the core section of TTM! It would be okay if ub wasn't worked in the rest of the work but by the time I get to the core, I just wanna work me some abs! To heck with the ub! :p I must also agree on the italian food comment. Why do you think I married my DH? He's italian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;):D:p Unfortunately though - as much as I like pasta-pasta does not like me!:confused: Glad you enjoyed Punch class!

Tuesday's workout was CycleMax Express & tricep push ups. I'm doing the push up challenge again, but this time I'm doing tricep pushups since I'm so bad at them. :confused:

Wendy: Fire 55 EZ was the first one I did & was my favorite for a while. My favorite keeps changing, I really love them all!! :p My favorite HIITS are 15 & 25. Great workout you put together, looks tough!:eek: It's 0630 right now & I'm watching the JNL infomercial, again.:rolleyes:

Katie: Good job on To The Max, I loves me a good sweat!!:D I would love a live punch class, unfortunately no one offers that close by.:(

12 @ 10/20 (this one didn't go exactly as planned b/c I messed something up along the way. I think I fell one round short on the swings somehow but gimme a break...I was tired by this point!:p)

Burpees (6/7/7/6)
Swings R/L/Double Arm

Good morning!

Today's workout was Rhythmic Step. An oldie but a goodie. I had a hard time falling asleep last night, so I kinda fumbled my way through this one, but at least I did it. :D The boss is taking the office to Keeneland after lunch. Hopefully the sun will come out. Looking forward to a fun-filled afternoon!

Wendy: Yowza, killer workouts! Did you put those together? I'm very impressed. You're going to be fine running the class on Saturday. You've got this girl! So, when are you going to start training us? :p;) Oh man. Now i'm thinking about italian food. Again. and it's 9:13 in the morning. AHHH! :p:rolleyes:

Wiggie: Great job with Cycle Max. Tricep pushups are so freaking hard. Keep rocking them out. What's the pushup challenge again? I think I need to look into that. I've lost my pushup stamnia. Have you seen it? :p How's DH doing???
 
Katie:: What is Keeneland? I guess it really doesn't matter so long as it means you are not working!:p You bet your behind I made that work out up! I had to fine tune it as I went through. The first draft of it on paper didn't look exactly the same but you don't know until you try it! ;) I enjoy RS as well though it took me a loooong time to learn it and by now I'm sure I've forgotten most of it! :eek: Anything in particular keep you up last night? :(

Wiggie:: LOL-you don't me to enable you! You do a mighty fine job of it yourself! :D Oh yeah tri p/u's suck! :p Why are you torturing yourself you silly girl? ;) I hear you on the TF work outs. I have liked every one I have done so far! :)
 
Hello Ladies. S.H.*.T.! :D

This morning I did JNL Shoulder Shredder but I replaced the cardio intervals with the following lower body exercises::

Goblet squats, Stability Ball bridges, Rear Lunges at a slow pace concentrating on putting the weight in the front heel and not on the back foot, Plie Squats, Stiff leg Dead Lifts, Lateral Lunges.

I had to cut the work out short coz I ran out of time which annoyed the anal side of me :p but I think I only missed one circuit so that's not too bad. I think I'll live! ;)

Today and tmrw are both dress down days at work AND they are ordering in food for lunch as well. I will partake but I am bringing salad to try to fill up a bit first!

Went to the studio last night. He showed me several corrective exercises that I should do and then we went over Saturday's session and how it will work. I am nervous but excited! He also talked about my eventually needing insurance in order to run sessions solo so it's obvious that the intention is for me to end up working there! :)

Finally got my internship p/w faxed over y'day. Hopefully it won't take long for them to send me my cert! I want to start actually earning a paycheck for all of the time I am putting into this! :p

Gotta scram but I'll be back at lunch to chat with my girlies! :cool:
 
Good morning!

In honor of Wiggie, I did Power Hour this morning. What a fun, but tough, workout! I had a few issues I need to work out. For example, I'm not used to using a barbell for lower body (I just bought it a few months ago) and it felt very awkward for me. I think i'll adjust and I may need to get a pad for my shoulders/back. I've also got to figure out the perfect weight to use, but that will come in time i'm sure. :)

Wendy: Oops, I forgot you all didn't know about Keeneland. You've heard of the Kentucky Derby, right? Well, the Derby is run at Churchhill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Keeneland is also a horse racing facility but located in Lexington, Ky and it's slightly smaller. So basically it is horse racing. But it's a lot of fun. Usually I go with friends and we tailgate, eat yummy food, drink, and watch the races. Yesterday I went with a work crew and the boss got us tickets to the fancy dining room. It was still fun to get all gussied up and drink wine in the middle of the day. I used to LOVE dress down days at work (now I can wear jeans anytime :D). Plus free food?!? SCORE!! That's awesome. And smart to fill up first on a salad. I always forget things like that and go straight for the brownies. ;) Another excellent workout this morning I see. You picked several of my fav lower body exercises. I'm still considering JNL, but think I want to get Combat first. BIGGGGGG high five on getting the PT job AND getting paid! That's so exciting!!
 
Good morning!!

Wednesday's workout was Hurl XT2 :eek:!! I intended to do half but ended up doing the whole hour. When I was doing one of the plank type moves my foot slipped, & I was surprised to see I had a little puddle of sweat on the floor!! :confused:

Katie: So sweet you dedicated Power Hour to me!! :) I think I might do that tonight. Even with a pad the barbell hurts my back, so after a while I switch to my pink bag that I got while doing BodyRock. Keeneland sounds like fun!! The 100 push up Challenge is something I found online. They even have a pocket sized print out with the entire workout schedule.

Wendy: Great workout you put together!! Dress down day sounds like fun, can I come?:p Well, I broke down & ordered JNL. I know, you are shocked!!:D:eek: :p You know I did say I was going to order it when I filed my taxes. Please remind me that I can not make another purchase for at least 3 months!! I need an intervention!! :eek::D Why do I torture myself with tricep push ups? I refuse to let them conquer me!!:mad: I like a challenge & they are certainly that!!:confused: Congrats re the pt!!

Katie:: I love the horse races and go to the track in my area every summer atleast once! In fact, my job is having an outing to the track on a Friday afternoon this summer! FUN! :D I love the barbell for some lower body moves but not for others. It's definitely good to have when DB's get too heavy to hold on to. (as long as you can still get it over your head-unless you have a squat rack which I do not!) LOL re your considering the JNL purchase too! Wait for Miss Wiggie (who just ordered it) to give you her review and then decide but definitely get Combat! ;)

Wiggie:: Thanks re the work out. I have another one waiting in the wings for me to try. I created it last night and intended to do it this morning but then decided to do the JNL work out instead. Maybe tmrw? ;) A puddle of sweat is awesome but not to slip in! :eek: Glad you didn't fall! You need to start listening when Cathe tells you to wipe that sweat up!? :D

Forward leaning alternating Dixie cup lunges (used light weights instead of cups)

Pair #4 (upper body focus)
Chair pose lat rows with tubing anchored under feet
Lateral shoulder raises with tubing

And last but not least....

4 rounds @ 10s r / 10 reps per round of Burpees! :D:D:D

Thursday's workout was my push ups for the challenge chased by Strong Pull & Strong Push from Powerfit by Stephanie Huckabee 20 minutes each. Instead of her cardio I jumped rope. Then I did the Chair series from ZCUT Power Yoga which is 10 minutes long & very hard. You hold chair pose then you roll back into almost a shoulder stand then go into a burpee.:eek: You know she has to give her unique twist to yoga.:p

Wendy: That workout you put together this am looks crazy tough, good job!!;)

Katie: DH is doing ok, thanks for asking. :)

REST DAY, REST DAY, REST DAY!

I'm not excited. Not at all. :D:p Of course y'all know it is really the sleeping in that I really love so much. ;) But I am a little sore from Power Hour yesterday, so my muscles are thankful for the day off.

Wiggie: Wow, what a mix this morning! The ZCUT yoga sounds insane. Are you getting the urge to do more yoga yet? ;):p I'm glad to hear your DH is doing okay. I'm keeping both of you in my thoughts and prayers! I LOL at the name of yesterday's workout (hurl). Yay for the sweat but i'm very glad you didn't fall. I've fallen off my step a few times. Not because of sweat, i'm just a klutz (or I was still half asleep). I'm going to have to check out the pushup challenge. I really want my pushup stamnia back. I did maybe 2/3 of the pushups in Power Hour on my toes, but dang gonnit I wanna do ALL of them on my toes! :confused:

Wendy: Burpee mania this morning!! So when you say 8 rounds did you do all 4 pairs and then repeat 7 more times (for a total of 8)? Or did you do each pair 8 times and then move on to the next pair? I really like this morning's workout. It hits every muscle group, and sounds crazy intense. I wrote it down for future reference. Yes, i'm eager to hear Wiggie's JNL reviews too. :) Awwww, I love that your employer is having an outing at the race track! A lot of employers do that in this neck of the woods too. It's so much fun.
 
Good Afternoon Ladies!:)

So this morning's work out was another evolution of sorts. It started with the work out I made up the other night but didn't do so I could do JNL instead. Then, last night I was looking at it, tweaking it, adding to it, and tweaking it some more until I had a 50 minute work out ready to go for this morning! I was sooo excited to try it but then I overslept. :(:rolleyes: So I did about half of the strength work and I did 4 rounds instead of 3 like the original work out was set up to have since there were more exercises orginally. I also skipped the cardio conditioning segment I made up that included the burpees I needed to do and just did the 40 burpees straight up to get em done in less time.

Katie:: The terminology for the how the interval time is set up can be confusing. I'm never quite sure of the wording to use. :rolleyes::confused: Anyway, in short-you do every pair of exercises 4x thru so 2 exercises x4= 8. Hope that clears it up for ya! ;) As for the burpee mania...I had to catch up because I didn't do them for 2 days. :eek: I actually did a few extra for good luck this morning!:p Glad you are quite obviously enjoying your rest day! LOL I am pushing mine off until Sunday.

Wiggie:: Z previewed that burpee move on you tube and I meant to tease you about getting for a new killer burpee in her yoga routine but I forgot! Dangit! LOL I'm sure you had fun with that one! ;)
