STS Body Rockers - Week of July 15th!

Back finally to report my work out. IDK what took me so long. I only did it at 5:30 this morning!!!

Here it is:: BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv

I had to make some equipment substitutions and modify a bit because of it but it worked out well. Really good work out! :)

Kiki:: Sorry things are going wonky for ya right now. Miss you being fully involved in the thread. Hope you get that laptop up and running soon so you can come play with us again daily! :) How's your achillies doing?

Wendy: Holy crap on a cracker. You heard about that stupid Casey Anthony booth?!?!? All the way in NJ?? I don't know why people around here feel the need to be make Kentucky look so bad. We already have a reputation as a bunch of hillbilly crazies (yes we wear shoes). :p Sadly you are correct. The Bluegrass Fair in Lexington, Ky (the state's second largest city and where I work actually) had a Casey Anthony Booth where you could throw balls (sandbags?) at either the "guilty" button or "not guilty" button and make a Casey Anthony look alike fall in the water. It was so controversial that the fair finally took it down, but apparently not before the booth made national news. As for the trial itself, I disagree with the jury in that I think she was guilty but I support the jury's decision. I know that sounds contradictory, but I promise it's not. The jury can only decide guilt or innocence based on the evidence presented to them...not what the media says, not what their guts say, etc. Even if the jury 100% believed she was guilty, UNLESS the State/Prosecutor presented evidence that supported each and every single element of each crime, the jury had to find her not guilty. Part of me thinks that is what happened. I think the jury really thought she did it but the Commonwealth didn't prove their case. Then again part of me thinks the jury wanted to know to much. Because of all the "legal" tv shows people think the State should be able to tell you exactly what happened, when it happened, how it happened, who did it, etc. In reality, it is a rare case when all the "w" questions are answered. Anyway, i'm sure that was much more than you really wanted to know. I tend to get on my soapbox when it comes to legal stuff. :D

Kiki: You're having a rough time right now girlie. I think you need another vacation! :) If all we can get is a phone post right now then we'll definitely take it! You know we just like hearing from ya! How long is the painting extravaganza supposed to last?? It was nice of your DH to bring you a laptop. Was he sucking up for the bulldog drama? :p ;)

Kris: Wow, I can't believe you are already on Disc 18. You are just flying through STS! :) I know Tracy really hated the longer rest periods in Meso 2 as well, but I have to admit I loved them!  As long as you are going to failure then I say ENJOY your rest! :) Now the 75 second rests in Meso 3 do tend to irritate me after awhile. Cathe says a 100 times to NOT skip through the rest periods, but of course I did a few times! Hehe. :D I'm glad you enjoyed MMA Boxing. That one is fun! I really need to try it with weighted gloves. Maybe i'll do that this weekend.

Katie:: Yes ma'am I heard it on radio news here in the good ol' garden state LOL b/c unfortunately good news travels fast (the dunking booth!)!:p;):D I understand what you are saying re the verdict. Tough spot for those jurors to be in but if they truly felt the evidence wasn't there then they could not convict and I am sure most if not all of them personally felt she was guilty cause hell, most of the damn country thinks she's guilty!

Good morning! I got in Disc 19 and AC - Medicine ball abs this a.m. - Good workout today, I felt strong:)

Wendy - you caught me  - I didn't use the weighted gloves with MMA boxing... thought maybe I'd see what it was like without them. Next time, I promise I'll use them:eek: Great BR workout it looks like! Great job!

Katie - lol on the hillbilly talk:rolleyes: (I heard about the Casey Anthony booth here in Arizona too) I appreciate your take on the verdict - that makes sense! The influence of the current bounty of legal tv shows does have an impact I'm sure. Hope you enjoyed your rest day! Today the rests between didn't seem to long since I was runnning around changing incline to flat, putting on the 1 lb gloves, or the 2 lb gloves, moving the tower around (using it to hold the barbell), etc... 75 seconds in Meso 3 - oh boy ! Oh well, she knows what she's doing - guess I'll trust it  I can't believe I'm just over 1/2 way through STS either!

Today is my parents 45th (!) anniversary - so my sister and parents are coming out here and we are making them dinner on the grill. The rest of my siblings are spread out through the country, so it's just going to be us, but will be a nice day.

Hope you all have a great day!

Kris

Hi all
We got he from the Adirondacks today- what a whirlwind of a week! I passed my exam(yay!) had a blast at the reunion, and loved the vacation!

It was a rest week- I ran 4 miles 1 day, climbed a mountain another, and that was pretty Much it.

Came home to find my laptop dead, charging now, just checking in on my iPhone.

Will do a full checkin once I've recharged.

Bridget

Bridget: Congrats on passing and glad you had a great vacation!

BBITAM!

Hello ladies.

So I banged out BR this morning and then managed to do my own short cardio afterwards that looked like this:

4 mins of jump rope, 1 mins of jumping jacks, 30secs of rest x3 rounds for a 16 minute total add on to BR.

I was a sweaty mess when I was done.

Great 30ish min total work out!!!!:D
