Cathlete
Sitting down with my coffee, laptop and Kindle to relax for the evening after a busy weekend:):) Got GS Chest/Triceps done yesterday and Butts and Guts done today.

Went to a Pampered Chef party Friday night. Do people sell that stuff down there? It's at home sales for kitchen products. They were doing cooking demostration sbut I only had one little piece of veggie pizza (homemade, yummy!). I ordered a veggie steamer for the microwave and stirrer thingie for the frying pan. Saw some old friends that I hadn't seen it a while.

I took dd shopping yesterday to use up some gift cards she got for her birthday. I was very patience hanging around the teen stores all afternoon waiting on her. When we left the mall she told me how much fun she had shopping with me:D:D

Today my sisters, mom,dd and I went to the Parade of HOmes where the house builders show off their new house designs. I didn't see any design that I preferred over the one we built.

Rachael Hopefully you had a fun weekend with your back feeling better, clean air, and cooler temps!

Cendrine I'll like to hear more about t-tapp, hopefully you enjoy those workouts. No shipping date has been announced, Cathe usually puts an update in each Monday newsletter so maybe something tomorrow.

Kim, they do pampered chef down here too, my friend has about everything there is to have from it.... LOL!
I'm glad your patience with dd shopping ended up paying off in that she enjoyed her time with you! I was just thinking of the times I have ahead when dd starts taking interest in this with me... ;) She's already quite enjoying going to the mall but clothing hasn't been on the interest radar yet...
I'll keep you posted on the ttapp. The guidelines say to do each instructional dvd for a full seven times before moving on to the full workout, that would mean I would have to do 21 days of slow moving stuff with same instructions and demos... I don't think I can be that patient, I'm going to see how I do on the full workout without instructions tomorrow while filtering out the moves I can't do with my back... I figured, I'm not a novice to working out and understand the form pointers and principles she's stressing and I think I should do ok....

Rachel, how was your weekend?

We have had a very kid oriented weekend, the kids got to play a lot, so I think they are happy! Ds started selling his boy scout popcorn this weekend. I hate selling, so I just coached him and made him then go with dd and hit up all the neighbors... He sold 280.- worth of popcorn in 1h30 min...!!! I guess there's the cute factor the kids have in their favor, huh?
He enjoyed it quite a bit and wants to go out again after school tomorrow....;)

LOL you know I thought I was being more attentive but somehow I missed this thread! Oh well that is one for the ego then.

Just a quickie for me. I am off to yoga. Last Tuesday without my favorite teacher. She should be back for next Tuesdays class and that makes me very happy:D:D:D

Better get to it. I'll be back later though!
Rachel

It feels so much like we are in the middle of Fall! It's windy and cold in the shade, it's dark longer, I feel like baking... lol!
we are heading out to the apple farm in the mountains tomorrow for some more fieldtrip fun and hopefully some apple picking!
we have this raw food restaurant here, and the chef is doing a class at a local nomeschool campus. My friend and her daughter are taking it and she keeps sharing the fun recipes they are making. She has known for a while that I do green smoothies, but this class has converted her and its so fun talking blenders, dehydrators and healthy food with her! She's going to give me her extra cookbook, because both of tnem got one with the class. Should be fun! Im in the mood for something new!

Rachel, have fun at yoga!

Kim, what's the weather like? Do you guys have fall leaves yet? Its so beautiful!

It's okay Rachael, we still love you;)

I'm sticking with the Sept rotation, did CTX 10-10-10 yesterday. Going to do one switch and so today is just a stretch and I'll do Leaner Legs tomorrow. Today is the first hockey game of our new team, lots of hype so I want to watch it on tv. (DH and dd are using our season tickets to go) Also the biggest loser starts tonight so will watch some of each.

Our landscaping started yesterday, they had 4 guys here till 7 pm and got lots done with the base for patio, sidewalks, walls but today is pouring rain so no work done.

Cendrine Wow, they are quite the salespersons!! I remember ds selling popcorn! I used to buy it for the teacher's Christmas gifts. The weather is feeling fall like somedays and summer like some days. The days are definitely much shorter and there are geese everywhere! The leaves haven't started turning yet.

Rachael So do you think yoga is a part of your regular routine now?

Well For yall our weather would probably still feel like summer Kim but it is sure feeling great to us. 80's for highs and 60's for lows. Our tell tell sign that winter is coming is the fat hummingbirds.:p I fill the feeders almost every other day now. So much so I had to read up on them to see what the deal was and I read that hummingbirds gain up to 40% of their weight right before they migrate so I feel an obligation now to keep the feeders full until the last hummer is out of here. We are having swarms.

Sorry I wasn't back yesterday. I had a hair appt. and since it is my bff's sister she is kind of like my sister too and I did not leave there until after 5 and then had to go to the grocery store.

Todays workout is gonna be butts and guts. I am taking last week and shuffling it a little Kim. Then I will do the last week the same as you, I think.

Cendrine-Finally someone you can talk blenders with...LOL I wish I had a gf that I could swap recipes and ideas with. Unfortunately I am on my own around here. :D Fresh apples sound great too!

Kim-Yep I think I am hooked on the yoga. I am going to a workshop on Saturday that I am so excited about. It will be my first time to ever do something like that. I feel like it has changed my whole attitude for the better.
I am looking so forward to seeing your landscaping. I need to start thinking about making our yard nicer...I mean we have only lived here forever. I just have been concentrating on keeping the grass alive this tear. LOL

Better work out before I change my mind. TTYL

Just getting us back on the front page. Not too much has changed from yesterdays post:p.

Enjoy your day everyone!
Rachel

I didn't have time to post yesterday because we went on another fieldtrip to the mountains this time with friends. It was gorgeous weather and the kids had fun togrther. Instead of apples we chose to pick raspberries again, and I ordered a chicken pot pie to take home for dinner which came in handy because we got home late and had to rush off to a boyscout meeting right after dinner... busy day...
my friend gave me the cookbook from the raw food chef who teaches the class and it has quite a few dehydrator recipes I'm very interested in trying! My friend is considering buying a dehydrator, so I told her we would have a dehydrator cooking class at my house so she could try it out and see if its something she thinks she might keep up...;)

Kim, you must be so excited about the landscaping! Is it too lste in the year to plant flowers? Like Rachel, I can't wait to see what it all looks like!

Rachel, bless your heart for fattening up the humming birds! They are such dear creatures! I've never seen them in droves, we usually just have one or two.

I better go and do my abs before the day gets busy...

Working my way through the CTX series, did all-step last night and DH did Leaner Legs with me tonight.

Cendrine, sounds like another great field trip! Actually fall is a good time to plant perennials . It rained so much on Tuesday they had to let things dry out Wed./Thurs so no more progress but they will continue tomorrow.

Rachael I'm glad you're enjoying yoga, I wonder what you will think of Cathe's new yoga dvds. My mom had a hummingbird at her cottage this summer and watched it with her binoculars. They're not really common around here.

I added a couple of pics of the hummingbirds. They are from last year but you can see how they are not scared of us. I swear that if the feeder is empty, they come to the window as if to say "hey we're hungry!" :D

I just popped in for a second. This mornings workout was Imax3. I did through 7 and then I was done for. LOL

Other than that not too much going on here.

Hope yall are having great weather for the first day of fall!

TTYL
Rachel

Rachel, that's amazing that you guys can touch the humming birds! Wow! Maybe if we kept feeding ours regularly they would be more bold too...hmm.

I've been feeling a little off the last couple of days, may coincide with that time of the month, anyway, didn't work out. Hopefully I'll feel more like it tomorrow!

I have to go grocery shopping, I'm going to try out a few of the dehydrator recipes from the new cook book so I gotta go get the stuff!

It's typical fall here, cold in the morning, so you dress warm then you have to go change by lunch or you will melt... I don't like this....

Good morning!

I am off to the yoga workshop today but wanted to pop in to say hello before I go. It is going to be a long day with 2 hr sessions and 30 minute breaks so I have to prepare a little lunch since there really will not be time to leave.

It is pretty much that weather here too Cendrine. 50's in the morning and sometimes getting into the 90's still during the day. But with the windows open all night, at least the house does not heat up.
Oh and I think the hummingbirds are just used to us being out there so much with them and the fact that you almost can not run them off the feeder right now. They are fiesty (sp) little suckers. I looked them up just to find out some info about them and those little guys migrate alone. I just thought that was so crazy. But after reading all the details it made more sense.

better get goin...ttyl

Rachel

Have a great workshop, Rachel!

I have a kitchen day ahead of me, making several dehydrated things. I'll keep you posted as to how they turn out... ;)

Also have to take ds to take pictures, I take the kids to the studio once a year around their birthday.

Not much else planned besides that.

Have you guys heard of the movie dolphin tale? It's opening today and supposed to be a really good family movie. I'll take the kids if it's not sold out.
