~~~>STS 6 month alumni-week of March 13,2011<~~~
Love the socks, Jo! I don't have any like that, about time I got some! LOL!
I hope you have fun with Nixie! It will probably be hard to take her back because she is so cute!
We had a marathon of a day today, I literally was doing something every minute of today! But I also feel accomplished! Gee, that word just looks misspelled to me for some reason.... LOL! My head is not quite sharp at this point in the day...
I did tm walk and no equipment abs. I am enjoying doing the mesos, it is enjoyable! I am sore in my legs from yesterday! But not in pain like last time around, like I mentioned before, so I am really happy and just plugging along. I really pushed on the biceps last friday and got very mild soreness, just enough to know I worked them (I usually don't get doms at all in my bis) So well see what tomorrow brings for my biceps....
Hi Rachel and Kim!
No workout today for me and I don't feel guilty at all as I'm enjoying my birthday cake;) It's always a Happy St. Patrick's Day for me. Yes, my mom had triplet babies on St. Patrick's Day and she was Scottish not Irish.
Yesterday I got home from work and DH was home sick which never happens. So I had to head off to hockey practice since he couldn't go and didn't get home till 9:30 and night so there went that workout and tonight I worked late, did groceries, MIL stopped by with a gift:eek: so I think a workout is not happening. We got our new blinds today which was a great birthday gift.
Will catch up tomorrow as I"m off work.
Kim, I knew your birthday was coming up but for some reason I was thinking it was the 27th! Well you've got the luck of the Irish (and that's good!)! Hopefully there's a gift awaiting you under a secrect shamrock somewhere! LOL!
Sounds like you had a full day! Enjoy what's left! :D
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
I can't believe I've got myself so off track on this rotation missing 3 days this week! But that's okay! The last few years I'm really trying to let my obsessive nature regarding exercise go. I used to be very rigid with following rotations/diet/marathon training but I've really tried to let that go. I know lots of physically fit/active people and most of them workout 3-4 times per week not 6! So when I do Cathe's rotations, I try to tell myself it's okay to take 4.5/5 weeks to finish the rotation.
So today will be Step Blast/Core Max1. I'm not working today so will get to my workout after dropping kids off at school then hopefully I'll get some housework done. This afternoon I have an appointment with my family MD for my annual exam. This evening is game 3 of the hockey series!!
Cendrine You are doing great on STS! Pushing just enough to get some mild soreness but not overdoing! You seem to be really enjoy this round of STS! Hopefully you have a quieter day today.
Jo HOpe Ibo enjoys his visit from Nixie! I love how excited you get about St. Patty's Day, I wore a green shirt and shamrock earrings to work. I think Marci looked amazing!!! I know whatyou mean about shopping/driving routes. When I go places like taking ds to hockey, even though I lived in this city for years I really have to think about what routes to take. The grocery shopping seemed to take forever initially because I couldn't find anything at the new store!
Rachael So where are you in the rotation? You're probably catching up to me even with one day missed. I figured the month's are 4.5 weeks long so we can have an extra couple of days off and still finish within the month.
Meso 2 week 3 done. It should be an easier day today, I hope! At least it looks like it at the moment!
Kim, it drives me nuts how every store manages to find a different place to put their stuff, and then, when I've finally memorized it, the do a new set up...:rolleyes:
Well, have a good day everyone!
Good Friday!
Sorry about no post yesterday. We are trying out a new internet provider and I think it isn't going to work. It is this little black thing about the size of a credit card but a little thicker. The first day we got it hooked up, the internet was blazing fast compared to our hughesnet and now I think we are on day 3 and it is about as slow as dial up. I am not sure exactly what has changed in 3 days but it is really disappointing. Esp. for DH.
Just trying to get it to let me post today seemed like it took forever so I am going to try and cover all my basis in this one so I maybe I won't have to do it again today. LOL We did not cancel HN yet thank goodness.
Yesterday was not a good day for me. I started my cycle and I think I had the worst cramps I have ever had. I was so greatful that we did not have much to do at work and got to come home around lunch because I was in bad shape. Then it was like I was totally wiped out for the rest of the day.
Leading up to this one I have been really bloated too feeling like a stuffed sausage every time I put my clothes on.:rolleyes: It has just been a bad week all around here, I guess. Luckily though, today I feel lots better. I have already cleaned most of the house, including mopping all the floors and got Step Blast done. I 86ed the abs today since I wanted to give that whole area a day off.
Jo-Awww. I am a little sad about Nixie but I am sure that if yall are meant to have 2 dogs yall will find out with her visit. I still think it is exciting that she is coming for a sleepover.;)
Cendrine- YOu are rocking this STS cycle. I am really starting to get the itch to do it again and with all your success it makes me want to even more.
Kim-I just skipped the 45 minute steady state run and rearranged the step blast from tomorrow for today so I wouldn't have arms 2 days in a row. So that puts me at finishing off the week with PUB tomorrow. I might throw the abs in then to if I feel like it. I don't have the core max. I used to have them recorded on the dvr. I can't even remember them now. I wonder if I should use the Cathe coupon to get that one?
Oh yea...I saw on the news this morning that the moon is supposed to be really big Saturday night. SO hopefully yall will have clear skies. We are going to visit my brother and his family at the lake and will probably stay to see the moon come up. Should be fun.
Hope this posts. :p
Have a great night:D
Couldn't get in to post yesterday as I had to get my paper finished and one more test....ta da! Done now!
So we decided not to bring Nixi home... :( Thursday night, DH and I just decided that minister should have her - I told DH I knew if we brought her home I wouldn't want to let her go. And I knew the minister really wanted her for his wife. So...we call the trainer and said to let them take her AND if for some reason it doesn't work out we'll definitely take her. :) Now, if we didn't already have Ibo, I probably wouldn't have done that so easily. ;) But, I feel it was the right thing to do and I feel good knowing she has a home!
Kim, I know that store thing makes me nuts! I'm trying out the new vacuum this morning - is my house really that dirty? LOL! It's interesting seeing what gets picked up! :cool: Ibo keep trying to destroy the vacuum; we had to put him out! LOL!
Rachel, oh I feel you're bloated misery! :p So are you trying the external broadband? What did we do before the internet? LOL!
Cendrine, you are the Meso queen! You are just plowing through that STS!
Back to cleaning. We're going to dinner tonight at a client of DH. So I guess I have to be on my best behavior. :D The roof guys are here (3rd day now) rinishing up our new roof. Remember we had it patched a few weeks back? Well now they are replacing the flat part and building a cover for us over our bedroom deck - which is a cutout of the roof. It's caused us nothing but problems. Stupid design.
Have a good day! Spring is just minutes away!!!
Well, my not so buys Friday turned into quite the marathon! LOL! I went grocery shopping with the kids, and went to a craft store for some supplies, then came home, fed the kids lunch, whipped up four batches of cookies (one of the batches was a new CE recipe that did not turn out nice AT ALL!!!:mad: , Dh actually spit his sample out, that's how bad he thought it was....:rolleyes: But I really don't like it either...) just before dd's playdate arrived, they played outside at first, loving the tree swing and rope ladder, bubbles, sidewalk chalk and various ride on toys. Then some of the neighbor kids who are always in hiding (basically we have not met them before) were passing by coming home from school, and I encouraged ds to go invite them to come hang out too, which they did, so then there are 6 kids playing in our front yard with 3 adults chatting, then dd's playdate got picked up and ds's playdate arrived with all the neighbor kids still there too, and it just went on like this.... It was 7pm when I finally got inside... LOL!! The bistro set came in handy for us grown ups! So we are taking it easy today. I am really glad that we have finally met the kids in our cul-de-sac, it's about time, and all of us thought so... LOL! There are still a couple of kids on the street that we haven't met yet but we know they exist... LOL hopefully they will come join us one of these days when we are outside.
Too tired for the tm walk and abs... oh well.
Got Cardio and Weights done this morning, I hadn't done this workout in a long time so it was a fun change! I took dd to piano lessons while DH did hockey with ds. They lost their game so came in second place and their season is over But I signed him up today for ball hockey for the spring. I've also signed them up for swim lessons again.
We're going over to my mom's for a family dinner tonight.
Rachael Hope you have a good weekend to make up for a not so good week!
Jo That's too bad that things didn't workout with Nixi but it sounds like she is going to a good home! LOL on Ibo and the vacuum!
Cendrien Sounds like it was a busy but fun day! I'm so glad that you're getting a chance to meet your neighbours. It's nice for the kids to have friends close by. How long have you been in your house?
