Cathlete
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Cendrine A spring break sounds like a great idea! Any idea of how you're going to spend the week?

Rachael So how the wedding? Sounds like you had a fun time afterwards! Always fun to see old friends!

Jo Busy work weekend for you! Did you get a chance to go to spin class?

Finished up week 2 of the April Rotation with Kick Max today, yesterday was Drill Max and Friday was Leaner Legs. I'm enjoying the variety in this month's rotation.

So we did end up having a party last night. This was the group that DH grew up with, we had talked about moving it till next week but someone was in from out of town so it worked better to have it this weekend. There were 3 people from the group that moved this winter and all within the same neighbourhood so we did a progressive party throughout all 3 houses. We ended at our house and people stayed till 2! So fun but tired today.

DH's grandma moved into a nursing home a couple of weeks ago and so his dad/aunts are busy cleaning out her apartment so we inherited her couch and loveseat. DH went and picked them up yesterday and they fit into the basement just perfectly!! They are still wondering what to to do with her bedroom suite and so we are debating whether to get it for ds. He has a loft style bed right now and although it's great for right now eventually I guess he will need an adult bed. But that loft bed took so much work to move and put together just a couple of months ago, so it seems like so much work to move everything again. But the bedroom suite would be free and he would need one eventually. So we might end up spending Easter weekend moving furniture again!

Good Sunday!
Today I have been in clean mode. It has been a long time since the entire house has gotten cleaned on the same day so it is feeling mighty fresh in here.:D Love that.

So I took the whole weekend off from workouts and I am chomping at the bit now for tomorrow. HSTA might change my mind though:eek:

Kim-Free furniture is so hard to pass up. Look at it this way. At least you will have a long weekend to do it if you decide to take the furniture.
I am liking this rotation too. It is really agreeing with me for some reason.

I was going to ask if any of you are going to watch Game of Thrones tonight on HBO? DH is really looking forward to it.

Well I guess I better go start looking at whats for dinner.

TTYT

Half our house consists of free furniture...LOL! Definitely a good deal, especially if ds doesn't have any style objections! Boys are easier that way than girls, I think....:p

Kim, your party sounds fun, but no wonder you are tired...LOL!
I will take a mental note about the april rotation and maybe modify it for myself some time, it sounds like it's an enjoyable one!
Rachel, how funny that you brought some of the wedding guests home afterwards! Have you guys recovered from the sleep deprivation?

Jo, I hope you got everything done that needed doing! How is your shoulder these days?

the past two weeks dh has been giving me a massage almost every night when possible and we have discovered that my muscles seem to always get tight again, but that loosening them up is helping the nerves not get crunched from the spasm pulling it the wrong direction... So, we got to thinking that maybe it would not be a bad idea to go on muscle relaxers for a little while to give my muscles a new start. I've never been on muscle relaxants before and honestly don't know how easily doctors prescribe them, but it kind of sounds good right now. What do you guys think. Any experience with muscle relaxants?

Kim, for spring break we are going on a couple of outings in a wildlife preserve around here and then lots of play dates, since our spring break coincides with ps spring break. It will be over before we know it, our calendar is already half planned out! LOL!

I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I'm done! Those were some tough finals! But I'm so glad to be done and you know what? You'll think I'm crazy...but I wrote a letter to the Dean today asking if I can take an additional class next session (course overload). I talked to this guy in my same program and he's doing 3 classes a session instead of 2 like me (6 a semester instead of 4) and he's graduating in October. If I can pick up an extra class I may be able to graduate in February instead of next June. Anyway, because of what I'm taking this session, this will be a good time to testbed my theory. It can't be any worse than last session with Statistics right??? Anyway, have my gym clothes with me and I'm headed to the gym after work!!!

Kim, the progression party sounds like mega fun! I'll bet you were tired staying up that late! That's a killer on the body clock! LOL! I say get the bedroom set! Free doesn't come often with furniture and if it's the right stuff get it!

Rachel, we don't get HBO so I missed that show. I wish we had it though! Like you, love it when the whole house is clean! I'm going to do that now that I'm done (yes, it's dirtier than normal - except the bathrooms of course!) No time to clean! How's that hot weather? We are below average for temperatures and I've been freezing! Meant to respond to you the other day - YES, you are crazy, no you didn't lose anything eating vegan for a couple of days. I usually eat protein at every meal but I also eat TONS of greens so I think I get plenty of protein without eating additional. I think I still eat more than I need.

Cendrine, have you thought about going to a PT for a different perspective? I tell you, I love my PT person. It would be interesting to see what they say about your back and what they recommend. My shoulder is almost there. I have 90% mobility (of normal movement) but still at 75% for some of the external rotation stuff. I guess what makes mine challenging is that I'm hypermobile so my normal is way beyond average. For example, putting my arm behind my back and up (you know up betwen your shoulder blades?) I can reach to the bottom of my collar - most people can't do that (maybe you guy cans). So my bad arm I still can't get it to the bottom of my bra strap without contorting my body! Hope I'm making sense here. So, I'm still going to therapy twice a week but I've made HUGE progress. Only in pain sometimes. The goal is now to get me pain free and get my mobility to normal for the general population. Back to you though, I have never taken muscle relaxants so that may work well - I don't generally hear anyone complaining about those so I think it may be a good thing. Kim can probably answer that better.

Boy, I've rambled on...I've MISSED YOU GUYS!!!! TTYL!

WOOOOHOOOO!!!! JO! We have missed you too!

Good Monday After noon!

I am trying my vege week again. It is a lot easier to prepare a meal with no meat than having to mess with that after work. Today I did sauteed kale with white beans again and then sauteed some asparagus with green and orange peppers and some mushrooms. Then while I was cooking I went ahead and cooked up some quinoa for tomorrow. I had some left over roasted asparagus that I put in with some more peppers and seasonings and it is pretty yummy. I toying with the idea of taking it cold in my lunch too but I am not sure if I would enjoy it...I might try and google that when I get done here.

Workout today was HSTA and although I was tired when I got up this morning I got into it pretty fast and it turned out to be a pretty good workout. When I got to those pushups at the end though I ended up on my knees. LOL

Jo-I was going to ask you about the PT. I know you have not been doing too many Cathe workouts lately but when you have , have you subbed anything for the lat raises? Are you now going to change the wy you do shoulders for good?
And yes you are crazy too but in a good way! I love how ambitious you are! I wish I had half of that!
And it is HOT HOT HOT...Tomorrow it will be 90 degrees and our A?C compressor kind of seems like it is trying to act up so we are having a repair man come on Thursday because I don't want to take a chance on it going out when there is no relief from the heat.
I totally forgot about greens and I have been eating a ton of them too...esp Kale...it is becoming my new favorite.

Cendrine-I really don't know too much about muscle relaxers but you will have to tell us if you get prescribed how it goes. I am sure that I do not have the stiffness you do by no means, but I always feel a little bit of tenseness in my neck and upper back area. Some times it gets really bothersome but how nice to get a massage every night! :p
Yes DH caught up by sleeping 15 hrs!!!:eek:He slept so long he was sore from sleeping. I forgot to tell yall too that he had some kind of allergic reaction to something from that night too that made his lips swell up. The next day they were so red it looked like he had lipstick on. They are better now but I sure wonder what it could have been because that has never happened before and it only affected his lips.

Kim...I love the party crawl! How fun!Did you start the week off with HSTA?

OK off to see if I can get some ideas for lunch that are meatless. I have been doing cottage cheese with veges but I need something new.
TTYL

Jo, you are thinking like I would be thinking, why not do more and get done sooner? Go for it! I know you can pull it off! LOL!
Rachel, did you know that quinoa is a complete protein? It has all the essential amino acids, so you can eat it meatless and still know you are getting the protein you need. Also, quinoa is excellent cold, in a salad style meal, so I think you would like it. If you like I can post some quinoa recipes I have when I have time. Also, if you want to go vegetarian, I think the general rule of thumb is that if you combine a grain with a legume, it becomes a complete protein combo, or so I seem to remember. So, rice and beans would be a good combo, with veggies of course, or whole wheat couscous with your choice of bean, or lentil/rice salad for cold or lentil rice stew for warm. Lots of options, I can provide quite a few recipes there too... ;)
Our weather was hot over the weekend, I was barefoot, which says a lot! and now I'm in a jacket.... go figure...LOL
Oh, my firewalkers finally came in today!!!! Yay! And did you guys read the article on Cathes low impact series?

Cendrine, you are correct about beans and rice (I learned this in nutrition!) :D Together they form a complete protein. But the best form of vegetable complete protein is soy (I know you know that - I'm just saying! :p). YAHOO on the firewalkers! I love mine and I think you will too!! And yes you're right. I don't mind a little extra pain if it will shave 4 months off my graduation time! That would mean I'm half done now! Hope you guys are going to the distance with me!!! I appreciate all of your support.

Rachel, kale has become my very favorite vegetable and I eat a ton of it! I don't remember if I posted this to you but when I saute kale and beans, I throw in pine nuts (or whatever nuts I have) and red peppers and red onions. So did I miss something? Are you trying to eat more vegetarian or wanting to try vegetarian? Tell me what's going on and I apologize if I missed the post on it. I appreciate you think I'm ambitious - I have to admit I'm a girl on a mission! LOL! ;) Yes, part of the reason I haven't been doing as many Cathe is because of my shoulder (sigh). But alas tonight, instead of going to the gym, I came home and did LIS. Yes Rachel, I'm not doing any lat raise; I do all my shoulder work at the PT. They have me do some overhead raises but not with heavy weight (low weight, high rep). And I do these other exercises where I sit on the floor, have my arm at a 90 degree angle on a stool and then pull a pullie forward. So I start with arm pointing up and rotate to the front (hope that makes sense). It focus's more where my injury was but also works the top of the delt. They then have me do that again with a light weight (30 reps for each excercise).

Boy that's some jabbering for today huh!?! :p Hi Kim!!!

TTYL!!!

Oh, and Rachel, I have about 25 different shoulder exercises to do. Obviously many are focused to my injury, but there's a couple that are really interesting and they're all done with bands. I need to write them all down and pass them on...you guys would like some of them. Oh, and I don't do them all at once! They're for different stages as I've progressed. Right now, I can finally throw again so they have me throwing a one pound ball (into a trampoline that bounces back to me). Then after about 10 minutes of that, I throw overhead a 6lb (I think maybe 4lb) ball with both hands into the tramboline. I just started that last week. I did that for about 10 minutes. Now that's a workout!!! No, it is a 6lb ball - I remember!

Cendrine...great minds must think alike because I took quinoa in my lunch today. Since I did throw some veges in the pot with it it had those already, then this morning I added some cucumber, avocado and something else but now I forget what it was...oh yeah , I chopped up fresh spinach too. Then I squirted the whole thing with lemon and it was really good. I am surprising myself at how simply I can season something and still really enjoy it or I guess actually enjoy the taste of the veges. Yum! I would love you to post any recipes you want...I am always looking for a change up.

Jo-I don't think you missed anything but I am trying to eat less meat and see how my body fairs. I have nothing against eating meat and will still eat it, I just want to eat it less. It is hard to come by good organic meat around here. You would think since I am in the country it would be easier but supply in demand you know and people around here can not afford the high price of it most of the time so stores do not carry as much. Plus I have just heard so many people make the comment of having so much more energy eating vegan.
I think your PT sounds sort of fun...haha too bad you had to injure yourself to do all the new shoulder exercises...LOL

Well it was a no workout morning for me. Some how, and I have no idea how but my alarm did not go off. I know I set it!!! I started my cycle this morning anyhow so no harm no foul...haha I will just move everything over a day and skip the 40 min steady state.

Better go...I am going to try and get a stretch in before be.TTYT

HYA KIM!

Just finished HITT 40/20, ds did most of it with me and it was good to have company with that difficult workouts! Yesterday was HSTA which I hadn't done in a long time, it felt very hard!

Cendrine I'm sure your spring break will fly by! I know you have tried the chiro for back treatments. But I would second the physiotherapy, other options would be a massage therapist and a orthopaedic doctor specializing in backs. Maybe try some other members of the health care team to see if they might help. Often rehab requires a full team approach. I think the muscle relaxants may be a thought but there is still the issue as to why your muscles are tightening? You don't want to just treat a symptom instead of the cause.
That's interesting about the quinoa. You know I always say that I'm going to learn more about healthy eating but I never seem to follow through. If you post some recipes for quinoa I promised to buy some when I go to the grocery store on the weekend.
I did read cathe's article, it was interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing more about these workouts, they seem like they will be a nice change.

Jo I'm so glad that you're seeing the light of day right now. I could see how you would be anxious to get the courses done with. That would be me, doing a heavy course to get it done sooner. I'm so glad that physio is helping your shoulder!

Rachael I love the feeling of a fully cleaned house. Since we're been having so much company, I've been cleaning all at once to get ready before each get-together and it's such a great feeling! Otherwise I often do one job a day so it's not so clean feeling. Strange about the allergic reaction!

Kim and Jo, thanks for your thoughts on checking out the physiotherapy and others, I think I will look into that. I definitely agree to the wholesome all around approach that a team can offer, and I guess it's time to start looking. And I also agree with you that just taking muscle relaxants is not the answer, I definitely want to get to the bottom of it, totally agree with you!

Quinoa is really fun to eat, it does not have a strong flavor, so I know your kids won't mind it, Kim. I'll try to add some onto the end of this post!

Rachel, when you say that you've heard people comment about more energy on a vegan diet, do they mean vegan or vegetarian? Because vegan also cuts out all the dairy and eggs, which is too strict for me, but I have heard of many people doing it. Personally I have greatly reduced my meat intake over the last year and I can't really tell a difference...But I have always eaten a diet high in veggies and fruit, so the only difference is that I added more legumes and less meat, so maybe that change alone isn't that noticeable... I don't know.

Oh, and Jo, just when I finished writing about the legume and grain combo I remembered the tofu! LOL! I like tofu but end up not cooking it that often. I'm so glad your shoulder is already so much better, and of course we are with you about adding another class! Go for it!

I forgot the recipes!

This first one, I'm not a great fan of Arugula, so I use other lettuce.
Red Quinoa Arugula Salad (2)

2 C red quinoa, rinsed well and drained in a fine strainer
4 C water
1 Vidalia (sweet) onion, diced
½ C shelled pistachios, chopped
5 oz. package of arugula, chopped
½ C dried apricots, soaked, drained, and chopped
juice of 1 orange
juice of 1 lemon
2 cloves garlic, diced
½ C flaxseed oil
½ tsp. sea salt
Bring the water to a boil, add the quinoa, cover, and reduce the heat. Simmer for 20 minutes, then drain any
excess water and cool. In a serving bowl, whisk the juices, garlic, salt, and oil together. When the quinoa is
cooled, toss all the ingredients well in dressing and serve immediately.

Curried Quinoa
1¼ C quinoa, rinsed well (soak for a few minutes, then drain in a fine strainer)
1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 small onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 Tbsp. ginger root, grated
1 can diced green chili peppers
1¼ tsp. turmeric
1¼ tsp. coriander
¼ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. sea salt
2 C water
Rinse and drain quinoa well (after soaking for a few minutes first, so grains absorb water and don’t run through
the sieve). Sauté the onions and peppers in oil in a saucepan. Add the ginger, quinoa, and green chilies, and
cook for 1 minute. Add the remaining spices and cook for another minute. Add the water and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Broccoli-Cashew Quinoa
1 Tbsp. coconut oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small red onion, finely diced
½ C sun-dried tomatoes, julienned or chopped
2 C vegetable broth
1 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
1 Tbsp. agave
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 C quinoa, rinsed well (soak for a few minutes, then drain in a fine strainer)
½ tsp. sea salt
4-6 C broccoli, cut into small pieces
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 C cashew pieces, toasted in oven
Heat the coconut oil over medium heat in a saucepan and sauté the onion and garlic for 3 minutes. Add the sundried
tomatoes, vegetable stock, vinegar, agave, and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Stir in the quinoa and salt,
then put broccoli on top. Reduce the heat and simmer covered for about 20-30 minutes. Remove from the heat
when the broccoli is tender. Add the ground pepper and cashews and toss.

* Southwest Quinoa
I serve this hot, but it also makes a delicious cold salad.
2 C quinoa, rinsed well (soak for a few minutes, then drain in a fine strainer)
4 C water
2 cans black beans, rinsed well
4 medium tomatoes, diced
8 green onions, chopped (including most of the green part)
1 C chopped fresh cilantro
Dressing:
1 heaping Tbsp. grated lime zest
¼ C fresh lime juice
6 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. sea salt
½ tsp. freshly ground pepper
Whisk together the lime zest and juice, olive oil, maple syrup, salt, and pepper in a serving bowl. Simmer the
quinoa in water uncovered for about 10 minutes. Turn off the heat, cover, and let stand 10 minutes. Strain any
excess water. Add the quinoa to dressing and toss well, then stir in the remaining ingredients (beans, tomatoes,
scallions, cilantro).

Red Pepper-Rosemary Quinoa
1 Tbsp. coconut oil
1 small onion, diced
1¼ C quinoa, rinsed well (soak for a few minutes, then drain in a fine strainer)
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 C chopped carrots
8 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 C snow peas
2½ C water
1 Tbsp. Nama Shoyu (page 239) or Bragg Liquid Aminos (page 238)
1 tsp. dried rosemary
½ tsp. red pepper flakes
½ C walnuts
Preheat the oven to 400° and roast the walnuts for a few minutes until lightly browned. Heat the oil in a
saucepan and add the onion and quinoa. Sauté over medium heat, stirring constantly for 3 minutes. Add the red
bell pepper, carrots, snow peas, and mushrooms and sauté for an additional 2 minutes. Add the water, Liquid
Aminos, pepper flakes, and rosemary. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low for 15 minutes.
Remove the lid and simmer another 10 minutes until the water is almost absorbed. When the quinoa is cooked,
turn off the heat and mix in the walnuts. Let it sit a few minutes before serving.

I have some more elsewhere, but this is a good start. You can also just cook it with broth as a side or put it in soup instead of rice or pasta.

No workout today... but hey, it's spring break...LOL!
Today I'm going to see my doctor, I'll ask her for a physical therapist referral and see if we can't make some more progress...

BBL

Thank you thank you thank you , Cendrine for those recipes...I am really excited about the southwest quinoa recipe...I love any thing like that.

I did get 40/20 done although I did not sleep worth a flip last night. I slept good until around 12 and then was wide awake until almost 2. I almost got up but I hung in there and did finally go back to sleep but I am feeling it now. I am pooped.

We are off work for a long weekend. Hopefully we will get a little project going. I am not holding my breath though because DH was helping a buddy the other night and when he jumped out of the back of his truck, he did something to his foot...I guess more like his middle toe. There is no bruising but the top of his foot is swollen and we think maybe he jammed it. I wanted him to get an x-ray just in case but you know how stubborn men can be:rolleyes: So we are waiting and seeing, if you know what I mean.

So curling up with my kindle tonight and hoping for rain for my tomato and pepper plants!

Have a great night.
TTYT

It is so gloomy here I can't believe it! I did get to my workout this morning and got the laundry done as well as the house picked up, vacuumed and mopped. Now it's the quiet before the storm... I've got playdates arriving for both dd and ds...
i'll be back when they are gone... LOL!

Hi Girls!!!! I'm having a fabulous week!!! I got approved for my 3rd class so next session I'll have Advanced Writing, another Accounting (I forget which one) and PSYC Motivation and Leadership. I'm spinning tonight and loving life! YAHOOOOO!!!!

Cendrine, thank you for those fabulous recipes! Sorry you're having a gloomy day - we're having your sunshine but it snowed a little last night!! Nothing stuck, but got really cold last night and then should be 55 today. We're having strange weather! DH usually fixes the tofu in our house (if we have it). I'm not fond of it unless it's super hard - I can't swallow or stomach the soft tofu. :( Tempeh is good though! But we mostly stick with beans and fish! I should say I do! DH just had ribs last night!

Rachel, so I'd say I'm a semi-vegetarian. I still eat lots of fish but only have meat on occassion. My main thing is NO processed foods except for those dang chocolate bars! But you know it's my preferred way of eating - but am not 100%. I would never go to somebody's house and not eat something because I'm that strict...BUT I won't eat something I don't like! I can be polite! Oh, but even after surgery, I still don't do fried anything! Hope you enjoy your nice long weekend! You project girl you! I feel for DH and his toe! Even if it is broken I don't think they can do anything just cuz it's a toe! :) But it's good to know if you're dealing with a break, a sprain, a strain, or a tear! That's a mouthful! Anyway, I hope he's better soon. I've broken my one little toe twice and they just had me tape it to the other toe for a few days and then I'd try not to hit it! But you know dogs are drawn to sitting on injured feet! LOL! Our last dog, Max, when I had a broken toe, kept sitting or stepping on my foot! Yeeeoooowwww!

Hi Kim!! Back to the grind! TTYL!!

Jo, I got such a laugh out of your dogs sitting on injured feet...My fat dog loves to sit on our feet. She just walks up to us and just turns around and sits right on our feet! Too funny. DH better watch out for that!
I love that you are loving life right now. It is nice for you to have a little time to enjoy before starting up your next classes and of course you were approved...You are a straight A student!;)

Cendrine, I hope the play dates are going well;) You are one brave woman taking them both on in one afternoon...then again it might be good to have both of them have friends over at the same time. Do you get a little down time when they are preoccupied with each other?

I got some really sad news today. Another one of my classmates died yesterday in a car accident. The family is really upset because the local news paper printed a really graphic story and added details they were not really aware of nor did I think they ever needed to know. It was shocking to me how detailed they were on the situation. There had been a fire and they were unable to free him. It was terrible enough to read what they decided to print but when I read the comments on the article it was even more horrible to realize that his family did not know alot of these details and they had to read about them in the paper. They did not print the name but since the paper came out the next day the family and friends knew who the story was about. It was very graphic esp. for our little news paper. :( I just was glad that the son is too young to really follow any info like that. He is only 8.

It has been a really tough time for my graduating class. There have been so many pass away.

Sorry about that...it is just too sad.

I did get my workout in. SJP which I have not done too much so I wasn't all that great at it but I kept moving.

Oh I forgot too that DH and I had to go pick strawberries at a friends because they are out of town and did not want to waste them. There are gobs and gobs. I brought home a whole bowl full so now we know what is for dessert.

TTYT

OH Rachael I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. How terrible, sometimes I have such little respect for the media. Will they be a funeral, maybe a time to connect with your friends.

I bet you're enjoying the strawberries! How is DH's foot doing? At least he has the long weekend to recover before going back to work.

Jo Congrats on getting the extra class approved! I have TBL from this week on my PVR and will probably watch it later. I have to admit that I'm not as keen on this season.

Cendrine I was showing DH the recipes for quinoa and he really like a couple of them so will try to buy some when I go for groceries tomorrow. Thanks for posting the recipes!

It's a 4 day holiday for Easter here except that the schools are open on Monday but most workplaces have Friday and Monday off. I will host Easter Sunday dinner at our house. Just for my family (2 sisters, 2BIL's, 3 nephews, 1 neice) my mom is away on a Caribbean cruise with a friend so she's not here. We'll do the whole Easter egg hunt/baskets so that is always fun.

Guess what, I bought a Kindle!! Amazon announced earlier this week that they are working with Overdrive to make the Kindle compatible
with public libraries by the end of the year! I'm still waiting for my Sony e-reader and phoned the store and they have no idea when they will be in, they said I could cancel my order. So I ordered a Kindle off Amazon! It does get the best reviews but the number of books are limited due to Canadian copyright laws and non-compatiblity with public libraries but that looks like it will change soon so I decided to order one! It should be about 2 weeks.

No workout for me Wednesday or Thursday:eek: Wednesday evening, DH was helping clean out his grandma's apartment, he brought over most of the bedroom furniture except the mattress because it was raining. I was busy researching the Kindle issue and then BIL (who was helping DH with the furniture) stayed for a drink. I also had to help dd with her play-doh model of the digestive system;) so the evening got away on me.
Yesterday I went straight from work to a dinner for a coworker that is leaving to work somewhere else then I went straight from the dinner to meet my family at the hockey game. So was gone from the house for 15 hours so no workout.
So SJP is on the agenda for today and I feel well rested and I love that workout!

Thank you Kim, it is a really sad time for the family and I am not sure if I will go to this funeral. The other one was tough but this one I think will be a lot worse knowing all the details of the wreck. I think I will just send flowers.

I have had a busy day of grocery shopping and of course the local plant store. My peppers and tomato plants are doing so well in the pots, I thought I would try my hand at a huge pot of basil. (my absolute favorite thing right now is pesto) I thought it would be fun to try and grow my own basil and see about making my own pesto. We will see. I really wanted to get so many more plants but I held back and just bought one house plant and the basil. Now when it gets a little cooler outside I am going to transplant them.

Dh's project for the weekend is a really cool shelf for our computer room. When he gets some what done withe it, I will post a pic. It is going to have a screen door for one half. I just love that sort of stuff!

Workout today was rhythmic step. I switched cardio and weights with it so I would not have 2 circuits in a row.

Kim- Yeah on the Kindle ...I know you are going to love it esp when they get all the kinks out for yall. I just love love love mine...just like Jo;)
Oh and I love the digestive system made from play doe! How fun.

OK I think I am going to go try to do some planting. Have a great night!
