Hey gals
It is a quick in and out for me! I have a super busy day today. I am going to help my brother pick out ceramic tile for his bathroom that he added on to his house and then after that it is the grocery store and then to my FIL's where dh is going to be working on the tractor all day. We are having dinner over there tonight so that is where I was going to take the lightened up version of the spinach and artichoke mac and cheese. Whole milk is like heavy cream in our house. People always tell me that skim milk is like water but I do not get that at all. Oh well right, what they don't know won't hurt them!
I am off to marinate some chicken for my lunches next week! Hope you all have a great day!

Jo-I hope the pain does not return.AND 70 DEGREES! Who I would not kill for temps in august like that! :p

Hi All,

just a quick one for me too, still sore from plyo legs....

We are going to make brownines today for the Firestation fieldtrip tomorrow... I'm not having any! NOT!

Well, we're all about quickies today!

I got up and did Disc 16 (chest, shoulders & tri's!)today. I have to say I felt the strongest and best today but I can see now why we work up to these levels and need to be consistent with our workouts! I had to drop on my chest presses from what I was doing before. I did fine on flyes and everything else...but was struggling with the weight I had used previously. Oh well...I FEEL SO GOOD!

Then, I started the ominous task of working on my closet! Oh my goodness! I barely made a dent...but I did make progress and have a bag of clothes for Goodwill. But alas, I only scraped the surface!

Okay, going outside for a bit to read before the sun disappears (it's starting to cloud up)!

Talk to you all later!

Sorry, I forgot to mention in my post on Friday that we were heading for the cottage for the weekend. DH stayed home as he was going to the Ac/DC concert with his high school buddies;);) We were finally having a nice weekend so 11 of us headed to the cottage (mom, two sisters, one BIL and 6 kids). We just stayed Sat night. We spent lots of time boating, got the grass cut, the kids swam. It was nice. Had to come home in time for ds to go to hockey. I always tease ds about playing ice hockey in the summertime:rolleyes::rolleyes: Is it only in Canada that we leave the beach to head to the ice arena? There's a place to cool off Rachael! Half the time I forget to bring a jacket and I end up beside the ice in shorts/tshirt.

I started week 4 of CLX tonight, looking forward to different workouts next week! There are 3 phases (like the STS mesocycles) with different weight workouts for each phase. I'm getting tired of the ones from the first month.

Rachael I'm glad that you got to talk with your doctor about things. Hopefully you get a good rest with a 3 day weekend! I have lost a couple of lbs with CLX!

Cendrine You asked about our Disny plans. We're staying for 9 nights at the Caribbean Beach Resort with free dining. My sister and her family are also going ( we often travel with them, the kids are about the same age) and they are staying for 8 nights. Good for you for taking a rest day when needed! I just did the 4DS workouts after STS before starting CLX, they're great workouts!

Jo I haven't seen the clip for TBL. Is Daniel the young boy?? That would be great if they had him back as he was trying so hard but still had so much weight to lose! Hopefully you don't get anymore hip pain! That's strange that it came so quickly and then left! I think Rythmic Step is so much fun!!

Whoo what a whirlwind of a day!
I just got back from dinner at FIL's and it was really good. Cendrine, I decided to use ff half and half in place of the whole milk in the mac and cheese. I think it turned out really good. Of course I used light butter in place of the butter but the cheese was all the way. It was provolone and parmesan regianno (probably misspelled that) I do not know if I mentioned this but I have decided that since I am really strict with my diet all of the time I am starting to have one meal a week that is probably not the best for me but it sure is good!!!:p It is always one that I prepare, so I at least know how much butter or fat is in there but it is definitely not good for me! But for I do not know how long I have made all these decadent dishes for dh and never have any. I have realized that once a week it is not going to hurt to have a little. Everything in moderation right!? As long as I do not overdue it. But I will have to cut this out when holiday season rolls around because I don't ever skimp on Thanksgiving or Christmas! What is there if you can not be miserably full on Thanksgiving!:D

Well I am off to relax before back to work!

I hope you are enjoying the nice temps up there, Jo!

I guess we were posting at the same time. The cottage sounds wonderful! Just the fact that it is a cottage sounds so quaint. Are you on land with no one around or are there other cottages around?
What is funny about the 3 days off is that I got less done than if I only had one day off. I guess I did not feel like prioritizing;) I just flew by the seat of my pants! I had a great time at my brothers today. I am so proud of him. He built an addon to his log home and it is just turning out so beautiful! He does all of that while having to keep and eye on his 3 yr old lively son while his wife sleeps because she works the night shift. He is a fireman so he works 24 on and 48 off. I love them Can you tell?
