~~~>---STS 6 Month Alumni - October 10 (10-10-10!!!) ---<~~~

Well it's one of those days! More like a Monday than a Friday and I don't know if I can get out of here early like I planned! I'll probably still be putting in a full day! AND, I FORGOT my lunch! I never do that!!!! Ughhh! What's a girl to do?? I do have a big honey crisp apple and some snap peas.

Whatcha all got planned for the weekend?

I completely forgot to check in yesterday.... oh well.

Jo, I am glad you are all done with the quizzes and homework for a little while! How hard do you think it is to prep for the final? I am assuming since you did so great on your weekly quizzes that it shouldn't be too hard for you?
I hear you about having to figure out new workout plans and ways to schedule what you want in your routine when the routine changes. I'm sure you'll figure out something that works for you! I have had some adjusting to do here too, and it feels great when there is a new routine forming into an actual routine...LOL
I hope you get time for a workout even though your day is busy! Thanks for your sympathy about my ongoing recovery, I appreciate it! I always feel better when I have vented to my chiropractor who has a great way of making me walk away from there feeling that I can do this and that things will get better. So I am taking it easy on the weights and the cardio, just walking right now and extra focus on working the lower abs hard and stretching all the problem areas. I did 30 min on the treadmill today and the weights from drill max without any of the high impact ones. It was fun to do that one. I can't believe some of the stuff I used to be able to do and now just look at it kind of happy that I don't have to do it.... :( My chiropractor told me she herniated 3 discs a while back and came back all through doing serious physical therapy stuff and she is jogging again now. So I am hoping that one of these days I can do higher impact again. I just need to take my time and not rush it.

Kim and Rachel, sounds like you two are busy.

This weekend we are going to take ds to the target photo studio, I like to have a picture of my kids once a year from a studio and us as a family, which is hard to do on our own... So studio it is tomorrow, have to cut ds' hair before that and then we are off to a nursery to look at some stuff we could plant in our garden that might actually grow here....:rolleyes:
Probably catch lunch out and then relax in the afternoon.
Sunday's a board meeting for the non profit thing, so I'm planning on taking the kids out of the house while it is in session, but will have to make some cookies or something before hand...
 
WooHOO Friday is finally here! I am sure that is how you feel too, Jo, since it sounds like your week has been hectic.

Not too much going on around here. We had some errand in town so DH and I had lunch and just went to the mall. We did not buy a thing except we did take some goofy pictures in one of those photo things. I don't know what came over me. We did that along time ago when we first got together and I thought it would be fun to see how old we have gotten...LOL
Other than that nothing exciting though.

Tomorrow there is a 40 min brisk walk scheduled so I talked a gf of mine into going with me to a little back road that is nothing but HILLS. They are pretty much straight up so it should be interesting. Then she is taking me to a movie and lunch for a late b-day. I think we are going to go see that Jamie Lee Curtis movie, You Again.

Jo-Sorry about the dog issue. I really hate picking up strewn trash. I like to think my puppies are angels because I have put a walmart sack of food trash out on the porch intending to throw it away when I got done with what I was doing and forgot and they did not touch it. It was full of enticing food smells (to them) I am sure.:p
I hope you got your workout in with no problem out of the shoulder.
Oh and the lunch thing ,uughh! I am the same way. I always pack a lunch and I put alot of staples in it and it really bugs me if I forget something like my nuts or my apple. I also carry a liter reusable jug of water with me and I have forgotten that. It Urks me when it happens. So I feel your pain of the forgotten lunch, LOL.

Yeah it's Friday!
We have busy weekend, tonight we're off to the hockey game as we have the tickets to the luxury box.;) Tomorrow is swimming lessons, piano lessons and hockey practice then in the evening is a family dinner for my nephew's 4th birthday and then off to "BOO at the Zoo".

Sunday is quieter, ds is curling and we need to get some projects done around the house as we only have a couple of weeks before it goes up for sale:eek:

I finished off the first week of the October rotation today with a 40 mins on the tm and the pilates abs. Going to head right into week 2 tomorrow.

Jo The work/school thing seems to have been bad timing! Do you think work will stay so busy?? I didn't forget my lunch today but didn't bring enough food, I was starving in the afternoon:confused: How frustrating on the dog!!!

Cendrine Good luck with the pictures tomorrow! The kids just brought home their school potraits and they both turned out well.

Rachael Sounds like your getting some fun time today and tomorrow ENJOY!
 
Hey Girls! Quick note and then I'll be back to post later (I've got everyone cleaning right now so need to go jump in!)

I did Low Impact Circuit today and I feel devine! IT WAS WONDERFUL! I stuck with 3 lbs for most everything that involved my shoulder but oh my goodness my body is happy!

I love LIC, Jo! I'm glad you were able to do it, and good job sticking to light weights for the back!
Rainy, overcast weather today, makes all of us want to be slugs....:rolleyes:
The pictures turned out great, but we opted not to go to the nursery afterwards since it is rainy out. Maybe next weekend.
