~~~>STS 6 Month Alumni-Oct.24<~~~
Kim, I agree with Cendrine 100%...about the cookie bag LOL. What a tough week. I don't know how you manage all you do. I feel like my life is so not complicated when I hear all that you have going on! The whole sell of the house thing would really be gettin to me too if I was in that position.
We have politics around here too but it is for American football instead. Football is everything in TX, probably kind of like how Hockey is for Canada. It is too bad it has to be that way.
I have only done 2 of the 4DS workouts this week but I will do another one tomorrow and then I will just see how Sunday goes...that is always my rest day and I hate to lose it.:rolleyes:
Cendrine-Right now it is a pretty chilly 63 degrees in the house and a nice 70 something outside but it is supposed to be cold again tonight so we might have to turn the heat on.:rolleyes: I really want to wait but when I get up in the morning and it is 50 something degrees in here I am not sure if I will be liking it too much. It will definitely make it hard to crawl out of bed!
It sounds like you had a great workout today!!!
Not too much other than work going on here. This will be the first year in five yrs that we have not done anything for Halloween. I can not believe I have made a costume every yr. It kind of feels weird...hahaha Our friends that normally throw a big Halloween party are not doing it this yr. :( It's OK though. I am sure DH and I will drum up something. I am going to visit them tomorrow while DH meets a film buddy. They have a farm with Llamas and miniature donkeys. I really love going out there in the fall. I have no clue why I guess because it doesn't smell like poop so much...LOL
Jo-I know you are busy so I am waving at you!
Have a great Friday night.
Oh you guys...what a week. I still need to be brief tonight and then will catch up this weekend.
Kim, I'm so sorry about your friend. I can feel your distress and like Cendrine and Rachel said you have lots going on. Sometimes don't you wonder if it's a test to see what you can handle? I do. I wonder sometimes if all these challenges just happen at once so we can get past them or if they feel worse than they are because there are so many? :confused:
Rachel, you know with the weather changing and your work schedule being what it is again, no wonder you're tired! :D When fall started to settle in here everyone seemed to be tired for a week. Isn't that weird? So no Halloween for you huh? I think that last time you posted a picture for us was your Halloween costume! Where's those new Mud room pictures girl?! :p
Cendrine, oh my gosh about the friends wife! What's going on with everyone? A guy DH works with here, his wife died in childbirth last week! I don't know the details but apparently it was a risky pregnancy. She died giving birth and the baby died 2 days later. How's your little ballerina and chinup master doing? :D
I've been missing you all and wanting to get back and post. Here's a brief update: I had 7 chapters total to read (still have 1 to read). Got slammed at work so ended up putting in about 50 hours this week. Then we got some unexpected overnight company Wednesday night...so that took me away from homework and I'm behind on my study schedule. Need to finish that last chapter, finish two assignments and two tests. THEN, I've been having this problem off and on with my eye. Felt like something in it then goes away then comes back, swollen (outside corner of my eye) and tearing. I finally got in to see the eye Dr tonight and I have a microscopic little blond eye lash growing towards my eye in the corner so he pulled it out! YEAH! Then earlier this week my GF in Montana sent me and DH an email and said for us to leave them alone - as in end the friendship. We are heartbroken as we don't know why. When we were there in August all was well. So I'll tell you more about that later, but I did talk to her DH and he has NO CLUE WHY nor did he know about the email! So obviously that upset me as they are our best couple friends.
Well then...how about some happy news! I do have some nutrition information to share with you all which I'll try to do this weekend. This class covers all the digestion process, exercise, etc. Oh, and I got a 100 on my final for data class and missed 1 on Psychology final. So....drum roll please... the school called me today to tell me I made the Dean's list! Isn't that a hoot?! Alright I wrote more than I intended and got to get busy as it's already almost 9:00!
So much for being brief! Ha! I'll have more time to post tomorrow and Sunday! Thank you for your waves and for being my friends!!!!! I hate it when I don't check in and know what's going on with everyone! You guys are the best!
Oh my gosh, Jo, what a week you've had!
What a sad story about the mom who died in childbirth and then the baby died too. Such heartache!
And your friend out of the blue ending your friendship, what a blow is that! I hope you'll be able to get some answers there, it sure seems unexpected!
And then your eye giving you trouble on top of everything else! So nice that that was a quick and easy fix! Did it hurt to pull out the hair? Doesn't sound too nice....
But great news too! You made the dean's list! Whoohooo! Not that you were trying, I know you are the type that just likes to excel because of and for you and not for some recognition, but still, you must feel great! I hope you don't have too much more to catch up on! Thanks for taking the time to fill us in, we missed you, and though you could have used your check in time to get going on your work, it was nice hearing from you!
The ballerina and the chin up guy are doing well, they fully enjoyed their evening out at the carnival today. The games were rewarded with little toys rather than candy, so the kids were not loaded up with candy by the time we got home. We had to split up the kids for the rides because the ones dd was tall enough for ds was too tall for and vice versa, so we split. You guys should have seen dd at the bumper car place, such a look of pure joy on her face as she was bumping happily into everyone around....:D:rolleyes: She fell asleep on the way home:)
Okay, getting caught up. I got my assignments completed and turned in (it's 1:15 here) and now just have to do my tests. I'm going to run up and take a shower, do some errands and then come back and do those.
Cendrine, LOVE carnivals! How nice to not have the kids full of candy! You can always use extra toys right? LOL! :D Yeah, the Dean's list thing was not even something I thought about! So when my advisor called me, I was like REALLY? Go figure! LOL!
Hi Kim and Rachel!
Ohhh...I'm starting to feel a little less stressed. Oh, and I forgot to tell you guys, we're moving our office in 3 weeks (weekend before Thanksgiving) so I'm in the middle of that!
First tip of the day: the digestion process for carbohydrates actually starts in your mouth.
Oh and you must have guessed...except for spinning Tuesday night, but workouts didn't happen this week! UGGGGHHHHHH!
