~~~>STS 6 Month Alumni-Nov.7<~~~
Oh my goodness, I can not believe we are a week into Nov. already. Now birthdays and Thanksgiving and Christmas!:eek: Two of my nephews have birthdays between now and then and DH's b-day is the day after Christmas so it is going to be a busy time.
We had a great time at the zoo. The weather was great and most of the animals were out and feeling the weather too. They have a great exhibit called MOLA, Museum of Living Art. Of course it is all the creepy crawly things but it was set up so great. I am sure all the little boys just love it;).
Needless to say, I ate horribly yesterday ,again:rolleyes:, but I am back with it today and all is well.LOL
Jo-Your week sounds so hectic. I was wondering how yall were getting your regular work done and moving your offices too...I am sure that is not easy!
Try not to stress too much about your workouts. You have a lot on your plate right now and you know when things calm down you are going to be able to get back to it. Some times there are good reasons and you have them right now so don't beat your self up, for sure!
As far as the arm or elbow area goes, I still feel it but it is not as bad. I have really been paying attention when I am doing anything that I start feeling it. Then I try to either correct if I can or lower the weight. I think it is coming along...Like yours though, SLOWLY!
Kim-I really had to smile at your sisters descriptions of her experience on her trip...too funny. All the situations seemed to coordinate with the events pretty well...LOL i.e. marijuana smell at the Jimmy Buffet concert:D Not too much of a surprise there haha
Congrats on the possession date. I bet now you feel like you really have something to work toward. I hate being in the dark about something major like that.
Cendrine-I hope you are having a wonderful day. Are the kids bouncing of the wall from the candy yet? LOL Just kidding!;)
Oh yes I forgot to mention....I love being up up at 6 and feeling this rested...Gotta love that fall back for something right!
Good Morning All! Well I tried to get up and go to spinning. I use the alarm on my Droid to wake me. Ahem...well, I woke up with the Droid in bed with me and I was cuddling in like a doll! LOL! So apparently, I grabbed it, turned it off and went right back to sleep! LOL! What a goober I am! :p:cool::D So, alas, I just got done doing Step Moves and Medicine ball abs! Now, I think I've worked it out for me this week to get a few more workouts in.
Rachel, thanks for reminding me not to stress. Need to remember my own advice! LOL! Or what do they call that? Eating your own dog food! The problem is, I know working out gives me MORE energy. What a conumdrum! Oh well, I'll do what I can! I'm like you, I cannot believe it's November!!! DH's mom called me yesterday to ask about Christmas presents - I said...uhhh geee, is it Xmas already? LOL! The zoo visit sounds like a good time! I love the zoo! We haven't been in ages! You sound perky too with your 6:00 rising! LOL!
Alright, time to hit the shower. DH made his world famous clam chowder while I was working out. It's only going to be in the 40's today so it's a chowder day!
Happy Sunday Kim and Cendrine!
I did PUB this morning from the Nov. rotation. Decided to do the abs first before my arms were too exhausted to attempt the plank work.
We've had 17 showings so far as well as the open house. I haven't heard yet how the open house went. I took dd and a friend to a movie. DH was going to talk with the realtors after it was over but he's at hockey so haven't talk to him yet. The realtor told us earlier in the day that she's already been told of one planned offer. I'm getting anxious to get it over with.
Rachael, Glad that you had fun at the zoo yesterday. When dd and I picked up her friend to go the movie we had a chance to see the puppy they just got yesterday!! So cute!
Jo I have to agree with the Rachael. Sometimes lie is just that we can't follow a certain schedule. Get in a fun workout for stress relief when you can't but don't fret when it doesn't happen. The chowder sounds like a nice treat!
Hope you're having a great weekend Cendrine!
Good Monday Morning!
I'm up earlier than normal! I'm trying to start getting up earlier again (like before 8! ;)) I set my alarm for 6:45 and finally got up at 7:20. I want to get back to working out early again.
Since the weather was crappy yesterday I took advantage to get lots of studying done so I can get more workouts in this week. I am feeling it in my abs today after med ball abs yesterday. Lots more sorting and stuff going on at work again so I'm dressed to get dusty (in my Rachel wear! LOL!)
Kim, I'm just WOW about your showings! That is great! I hope you heard something last night! I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Okie dokie, I'm off to work! Have a great day everyone!
Just popping in to say HELLO!!!!!!! I'm sitting here eating lunch - having some of DH's clam chowder and thinking of you guys!!
I guess I have the after-migraine glow! I feel on top of the world! :p:eek::cool::):D:p
I hate when the time changes! It's 5:00 and dark! :( Oh well, it will be over before we know it! LOL!
Busy Monday - more move stuff going on. Boy this is happening so fast!
Not much else to report! Hope you're all doing well! Tomorrow night I'm definitely spinning!
Well we're up to 20 private showings as well as the open house. The realtor said there was about 15 families that came through the open house and one was a group of 13 people! At this point we're hoping for multiple bids tomorrow but will be happy with one! I'm so tired of hardly being home, at least the house doesn't need tidied much because we never get to stay home long enough to mess it up.
So glad that your feeling better Jo! You sound very chipper! My abs are sore as well. The november rotation had us do abs 3 days in a row:confused: This morning was Hitt 30/30 and Ab Circuit No Equipment abs. It was the only morning that I tried to squeeze in a workout and leaving the house in good shape. I was a little grumpy with the kids;)
Hi Guys,
I didn't get on the forums all weekend! Wow was I busy, and I can't even remember what with now....LOL!
Kim, I'm so amazed at all the showings you had! Hopefully people will fight over your house when bidding time comes! It would be awesome to get a better price than you thought! It will also be nice to be home again without feeling like you are a visitor! Good job hanging in!
Sorry that your sister had so many issues in California... the shark attack, that was bad timing! But you wouldn't see me in the ocean either! I'm glad my kids are still at the stage where they go in knee deep an that's it....;)
I have never been to Disney World so I can't imagine that it could be so much bigger than Disneyland, but then the word would kind of describe it, wouldn't it? But you would have a hard time finding any kind of land for a 'world' here in LA area....LOL!
Jo, I'm glad you got over your migraine and are getting some workouts in. Getting up early is so hard, but right now it's easier because of the time change.... And the workout gets done no matter how many people demand your time later in the day... It is soup weather here too, for California standards, naturally.... ;) I made an artichoke, asparagus, potato soup and everyone loved it. I have more left for lunch tomorrow too!
Rachel, I have always loved zoos, I really enjoyed San Diego Zoo, more so than Sea World or Wild Animal Park. The kids have gotten used to the fact that we have lollipops in the house.... the novelty has worn off a little, but they really do enjoy them! LOL! I had ordered some healthy licoriche too, but the order got damaged in transit and UPS never notified the sender :mad: So now they finally found out because I called them (the order also has my liquid vitamins in them, which is probably what got damaged...) I had planned it just right, but now because of the delay I'm out of vits for a while....:( I better be extra careful not to get coughed at....;)
Workout was tm and drill max total body premix and abs. It was nice!
Did everyone see that the dvds are shipping November 19th!:D
Cendrine My sister and her family still had a nice trip and just think it wasn't quite what they were expecting.
Disneyland 1 square mile
Disneyworld 50 square miles!! About the size of the city of Boston or 2 times the size of Manhatten.
45 minutes on the tm done this morning, got to going and tidy up as we have 2 more showings today. Excited to see what will happen with the house offers tonight. The housing market is jumping here, it's just not our house.
cendrine that soup sounds wonderful!
:eek:So sorry I missed the check in yesterday. We got kind of snowed in at work and I was tired by the time we got home. Now only one more day and then we are done with this one. Get this though. The shop we are working for for this job made a boo boo and did not order the right amount of material. Now they are having to drive all the way to Memphis TN to get the material so we will be able to finish on time. Otherwise they are going to have to pay out of the nose for this surgical center to shut down and they do not want to do that. I guess the 800 mile round trip is worth it...:rolleyes:
So we have to go in tomorrow around 2 pm (which is when they should get here with the material) and stay until we are finished:mad: I will be glad to put this one behind us, that's for sure.
This morning it was PUB for me. So far I am on track , of course it is only day 2 of the Nov. rotation but so far so good right...lol;)
Kim-I hope you get so many offers that there is no way there wouldn't be one to your liking.:D Thanks for the heads up on the abs for PUB...I did them first too. I don't think I would have done that well if I waited till the end and I would have forgot about them being plank style (some) if you had not given the tip.
I had no idea that Disney World was 50 square miles!!! That is crazy. No wonder you have to stay so long to see it. One of the radio shows I listen to in the morning takes a plane load of sick kids and all their family members to Disney World every yr in Nov. It is a big deal around here. They get the park hopper passes so you can go to any park any day...I think that is a big deal right?
Are you thinking of a puppy for the new houses back yd? haha
Cendrine-Isn't that something that you were not even going to be notified that your order was not on its way! You would think they would at least have some automated way to notify you to call them to get info like that.:rolleyes:
I am like you too, I have always enjoyed the zoo but the older I get the sadder it seems to me. I know the zoos do alot for endangered animals but I still get sad seeing some of the animals looking almost aloof or miserable, I am not sure which. I haven't been to sea world ever and now I probably won't go after watching the movie "The Cove" or the program that came on discovery called Blood Dolphin...Now it makes me feel a bit guilty. That seems a little weird since I am only one person but that's how it is I guess...
Oh and I agree with Kim, That soup sounds wonderful.
Jo-I laughed at you hugging your phone. Normally I wake up with mine snoozed and stuck under my pillow. I must think this is not going to wake DH up but who knows why I do it. Now though, it is an everyday occurrence!:rolleyes:
It is getting dark early here too but not quite that early. Closer to six. I forget that things are a little different even when it comes to that. I should know that though considering DH is from Norway where it is dark a lot of the winter and light a lot of the summer. Boy the world is a strange place!:D
Don't worry, you will be back to working out regular in no time!;)
Like Rachel, I was shocked to read how BIG DisneyWorld is! :eek: I had no idea! We should go check it out with our kids one year! ;)
Rachel, I'm glad for you that your job will be done soon, all the hiccups are no fun!
Jo, I hope you are able to keep your head above water....;)
Nothing much going on here, except I've been cold all day... nothing new, I guess. Oh, the order that got damaged and didn't notify the seller, well, it must have been rush shipped because it was at our door before lunch today! And I only called yesterday! Aahhh, I have my vitamins! LOL!
SOLD!!
We got 2 offers tonight. The one we accepted was for $6,000 over the asking price with no conditions. They get the house Feb 12th and we get the new one Jan 31st.:D:D
So you get to sleep in tomorrow Rachael! Hope it won't be too late of a night.
I kind of feel the same way as Rachael when it comes to zoos. I have to admit they just make me sad, don't really enjoy them much.
CONGRATULATIONS KIM!!!!!! WOW! People in the US would love those kinds of results! That's wonderful!
Fififififififififty? HOLY MOLY! I had no idea DW was that big! Another WOW!
Rachel, don't work too hard tomorrow! Scheesch you guys have had interesting issues lately...reversed AC, not enough materials - at least none of them are because of you guys! Sounds like you've got your timing worked out so you're getting your workouts in!
Cendrine, that is so annoying about the package. But I guess you have to figure it's going to happen once in a while - but not when you NEED it! Ugghhh! But, alas...what a nice surprise to get it today! A couple of times I've place an order from Amazon in the morning and came home and the order was on my doorstep! LOVE THAT!
Okay, so went to spinning and had a GREAT ride! Except, during track 8 which is a sprint track (there's 10 total)...I was sprinting to save my life and actually setting a record for RPM's when all of a sudden my knees were in my face! My seat had come loose and slid all the way down! LOL! So I had to stop, get off and adjust my seat. It messed up my rhythm for the last track but I was a sweaty mess none the less!
Okay, got to go...TBL is on! TTY tomorrow!
It's the largest single-site employer in the US.
My coworker is leaving on Saturday!!:D:D I've been busy helping her plan. If you haven't been before its a very overwhelming place! It's a world new world!!
We usually go the first week of December and I'm definitely missing the excitement of going this year. I'm sure MExico will be nice though;) Silly DH is leaving me silly phone messages from Mickey Mouse:rolleyes::rolleyes: Next year I think we're all going (both sisters, their husbands and each have 2 kids) That's 12 of us, not sure if mom will come. We've all been there lots of times, but not all three families at once. Should be interesting as all 3 sisters are Disney planners.:D
Jo I'm glad that you had time in your busy schedule for a spinning class! I've seen on tv some of the trouble the USA has had with mortgages/houses. Are things getting bettter down there?? Our mortgage system is very regulated up here! I watch some of the house shows like House Hunters and I can't believe what people are allowed to do with mortgages in the States.
Fooled around this morning and didn't get my workout done. It's Body Max 2 upper body only so will do it after work. It's only about 1/2 hour.
Woooo Hoooo, Kim!!!!!!That is so exciting. I just saw a report on the news saying that housing prices were down here and a lot of houses were under water...I am so glad you are not dealing with that.
Well I slept in till 6:30:rolleyes: LOL I tried to stay in bed but I was thinking of all the things I could get done after my work out and before I have to go into work. Of course now I am waiting for my cramps to subside before I start my workout but it is still just 7:30 so I think I have plenty of time;)
I am ready to have this day behind us. DH and I did all the preparation that we could so that when we got there to day all we needed was the material but there are always unforseen things that kink the plans. Maybe there will be no monkey wrenches. I forgot to mention that they were thinking about moving a door and frame because it was not up to ADA code (american disability act). Before they thought it through they had already torn some of our metal and vinyl off the wall to test how hard it would be:rolleyes: Of course that was after they asked us how hard it was and we told them...Pretty Hard! So now we will have to repair that tonight also. :mad: Hopefully that is all of the extra though.
Cendrine-Wow on that express delivery of the vits. They must have been on that pretty quick. That renews my faith in them a little;)
Jo-Good thing you didn't knock yourself out...LOL I have actually kneed myself in the chin before...haha good thing my tongue was out of the way of my teeth...
OK better quit stalling 30/30 and abs here I come!
Congratulations, Kim! You guys must be so thrilled! And it seems you don't have any move in conflicts either, assuming the move in date stays the same...
Well, Kim, you can count on me asking you for help planning our DW trip when we do plan one! I couldn't imagine navigating my way around that size without some help from a veteran!LOL!
Jo, forgive me for laughing but it just sounded so funny, your bike seat incident....I'm glad though that you didn't hurt yourself! I had to stop my treadmill in the middle of a great workout and I know how you feel, it's hard to get back into the same groove afterwards!
Rachel, I can't believe all the things that are going wrong at your site! Can't blame you for wanting to have it done and over with!
I did 30 min on the tm and Body Max2 weights which felt great. Today I am dropping off ds at a sleepover birthday party. he is very excited, but I have to go and pack now, so he'll be ready....
Hey Cendrine I did BM2 weights yesterday too ( upper body only) Today's schedule is Double Wave HITT and Ab Circuits Stability Ball Abs.
Today is a holiday for Remembrance Day, all schools and most workplaces are closed. Kids also have tomorrow off, so nice long weekend. DH and I plan to go get some of our "clutter" from my mom's.
Hopefully, your ds got some sleep at the sleepover and is not over tired today.;)
Rachael How did the job go for you?? Is it all done?
Jo What did you think of TBL? That little gang of men that stick together are really starting to annoy me.;) I have to admit that it's not really keeping my attention much, and I wander in and out of the room alot when it's on.
:eek: Off to work at 2:30 yesterday, home at 3 last night, and up at 8:30:rolleyes: I feel like this is going to be a pajama day! LOL
We probably would have been done sooner but just as I thought there were little odds and ends that take up time plus there were people in our way when we got there so we had to work around them. Everyone was amazed that we were going to stay and finish. In fact I think they were in disbelief. When they left for the day, they were all saying "See you tomorrow;)" I am proud to say , I am here and they are there...haha Again we are the only ones that finished on time. Done, Finito, Slutt,Gjort,Ferdig!!!!Well yall get the picture.
SInce I am feeling super sleep deprived I did not get my 40 min workout in but I ran my butt off last night so I am calling it even for the day. haha
Kim-I think we must have posted at the same time yesterday. I am in aww of DW now. I just really had no clue. When you go how long do you stay for? It seems like it would take quite a while to enjoy all that it has to offer.
Cendrine-I am with you. If I ever go to Disney I am enlisting Kim too. How was Ds 's sleep over?
Jo-I hope things are coming along smoothly for you!
Off to lay on the couch...hahaha TTYL
I'm sore from doing BM2 yesterday... LOL! I am not sure what brings the soreness on sometimes. I didn't go down in weights or up in weights, same as always and yet I'm sore in several places and usually I'm not... go figure...
Sounds like ds had a good time at the sleep over. I am going to pick him up in a little bit. He pulled out his latest wiggly tooth while gone....:rolleyes:
Apparently the boys were up by 6:15. The mom said she got them to be quiet by about 10:00 so I guess it wasn't too bad, they are only 7-8yr olds, so that is late for them ;)
Dd enjoyed the day alone with me. It's nice to just have one sometimes to focus on, makes them feel special!
The wind (santa anas) is really strong here today, dh went and took down the windchimes, they drove him nuts....LOL!
