STS 6 month alumni moving into March!

Oh Cendrine...I am going to be making that granola first thing tomorrow morning. I was going to come home and do it today but I needed to take advantage of the empty and clean, clean, clean!

All the windows are up and the house is full of fresh air. I just love getting to relax in a clean house. DH doesn't get it...He thinks it is clean all the time but I tell him that he just doesn't know about all that dirt hidden in all those nooks an crannies! So today it was nook and cranny cleaning day and now I can sit down and just relax for the rest of the day.

DH is at his dad's helping him put a new vent hood in. His cook top is on an island in the middle of the kitchen and so he never used it because the previous owners did not have any ventilation hooked up. So he found a really nice one on the internet and now I am sure dh is the one in the attic making sure they are securing it properly. So I have the house to myself and I have my front door open to my one day mudroom daydreaming about the finished product...haha! It will be nice to have the extra light from all the windows.

Cendrine-I did want to say how proud I am of you for not giving up on exercising all together. I know it must be so frustrating. I do not know what I would do. Probably would try to be a little hard headed at first and end up doing more damage. So I am glad you are listening and hearing what your body is telling you. I bookmarked this page so I could try the wild rice bake too. Do you think it would freeze well?

Jo and Kim...I hope yall are having a great day with great weather !

Rachel

Rachel, was hardheaded at first, remember? I only took off one week of working out and I think I really made things worse then.... So now I'm picking up the pieces...:( Well, I learned a lesson for sure!

I think the mushroom bake would freeze really well! In fact I put some in the freezer for later myself. I have found that rice freezes fine.

Enjoy your afternoon relaxing! I'm doing the same!

Oh you guys!! I'm having the funnest day!

So GF and I met at Gold's and took the BodyPump class. If you don't know what that is, it's like Cathe's PowerHour. I believe Cathe is a certified BodyPump instructor but it's trade marked so she had to market her class and workout as PowerHour. ANYWAY, it was so fun! And I'm telling you it was kind of refreshing to be in a class format when I've been exercising alone for so many years! Also, we had a great instructor so that made it even better. BUT, it about killed me as I haven't done a full body workout in forever! It was definitely an advanced focus class to that was good. When that was over we spent another hour playing on machines. GF is doing a "Big Climb" in a couple of weeks at the tallest building in Seattle (69 flights of stairs for the event) so she wanted to use the giant stair machine. We did that for about 20 minutes then used elipticals for another 20. Whew! Tomorrow we're taking a spinning class in the morning and then I'll do Disc 23 Legs later in the day.

Cendrine, I really feel for you and hope all your days get better! I know how trying it is when you mind wants you to do more and your body says no way!

Rachel, enjoy your time to yourself - it's so nice sometimes isn't it! And Congrats on completing Meso 2! Woohoo! We are having another beautiful day in Seattle - it's 63! SHOCKING! So I really appreciate your having the doors and windows open!

Right now I have to go get ready as we're going out to dinner. Gotta go change! Hi Kim!

One more quick thing....as fun as I'm having at the gym...I'm a little germphobic. They have wipes for wiping down machines after you use them...BUT that's one thing I prefer about home!
