<---STS 6 Month Alumni---> Father's Day Week of June 20

Rachel, I 'm so glad you got the tile issue worked out! I totally hear you on not wanting that on your resume even if it wasn't your fault! But I'm glad that you guys are able to fix it right. Have fun at the pool today!

I'm gearing up for pilates today before hitting the grocery store. I was going to go yesterday after the playdate got picked up but they picked him up late and chatted a long time so I didn't want to get caught in the after work grocery store rush... So today I go. I already cleaned the upstairs bathrooms and will be mopping later after the groceries are put away. Then I gotta do the muffins and laundry. But first, workout!

Jo, yes I got the blueberries at Costco! LOL! What are you using them for? I guess they might taste good in a salad or with granola and stuff like that too. I'm sorry about your headache. I got one too because I had to get to some stains with bleach and even though I have the fan and windows open, I still get bugged by it. It's rinsed off now, so it should be getting better. My Chiro told me that my more frequent headaches could be due to mineral deficiencies. I switched from refined salt to seasalt, but did not compensate by taking iodine so she suggested taking some and keeping up with the potassium, magnesium and calcium to see if that does the trick. You think you might have any of that happening? My headaches start up second week of my cycle when the hormones are lowest and apparently mineral absorption is lowest, so it I'm short on something it would manifest during that week... I didn't put the facts together for a while because I never get PMS headaches so I just assumed they were not hormone related, but then I started watching it and realizing it was after the start of the cycle when it hits and that's what made chiro suspect the minerals/hormone dip to be the culprit. I hope she is right! We'll see how next month goes.

Well, enough chatting, Hi Kim!

We all must have been busy all day.... I hope it was a good day for all of you!

I forgot to share something funny, so here goes.

Last night, I put dd down for the night and went did some stuff on the computer then went to bed to read. About an hour later (dh and ds were still out doing Taekwondo) I hear dd's door open and hear her little footsteps heading to my room. She has her eyes open but doesn't look at me or say anything (usually she tells me either she's thirsty or hungry, or can she cuddle with me or something like that) but not a word this time and she came over to the side of my bed as if on a mission, tries to climb up on the bed, slips a couple of times, I ask her what she is doing and she says absolutely noting, not a sound, then she finally manages to get herself up on the bed, crawls right next to me on the bed, lies down and doesn't move. First I thought it was a new little trick of hers to stay up, but I bent over to look at her and her eyes are closed and she is not moving at all.... That's when I finally realized she must have been sleepwalking! LOL! I had to try so hard not to laugh out loud when I figured it out! I let her stay on the bed because I would not have been able to carry her to her bed and I didn't have the heart to wake her. So I waited until dh came home and he carried her back to her bed, she gave him a big beaming smile, but she wasn't awake, went straight to sleep once in her own bed and didn't remember a thing the next morning....:D

I wonder if she'll do it again....

By the way, Kim, dd is able to be in what they call sibling camp at the same park where ds is going to be with his den, so she gets a fun week out of it as well.

I got all my chores done today but tomorrow I have to find a skit (thanks for offering to help Rachel!) they have some skits online for tiger cubs, I'm told. They are all between 6-8 in that age group, so it can't be too difficult but should be funny. I'll share with you guys once I find one I like...

Oh you guys! I had an incredible spin again! I did Cardio Coach Press Play (at home) and again I had incredible energy! WOW was I on this week or what??? Course we know that can change tomorrow! But it was great!

DH and I then went around doing errands (Whole Foods, Peets Coffee, etc). Then we went to the bike shop as we need new bikes...DH's got trashed and doesn't have one anymore and mine is just a piece of junk. Anyway, one of his clients owns a bike shop so we went and checked them out. Then we went to a CSA down the street (Community Supported Agriculture). You pay X amount of money once a year and then go pick up your herbs and vegetables each week. Are you guys familiar with them? Don't know if we'll join, but 90% of what they have is what we eat (i.e. kale, beets, spinach, mustard greens, cilantro, etc.) You get enough vegetables to feed a family of 4 each week for 21 weeks. Oh by the way it was 75 here today! But of course it will rain again tomorrow! Then we came home and I've been doing chores.

Kim, counting down from 18 already? LOL? So should we buy Insanity or not? I can't remember, do you have P90X? I'm halfway interested in checking Insanity out but afraid I wouldn't like them or get tired of them after one rotation. Glad they'll work out with your schedule though. And yes, I know for sure the headaches are weather related...we've been up and down all week with our weather patterns and now since we have another system coming in tonight, I'm afraid I'll have another one tomorrow!

Cendrine, oh my gosh about dd! It is sweet she came and got in bed with you! Doesn't it make you wonder what she was dreaming about that propelled her to do that? Sleep walking is an interesting phenomenon. So do you have stairs in your house? Any reason to be concerned? That's so nice she'll get to have some camp time next week too!

Rachel, hope you had fun tonight!

Okay Dr Kim...since we're talking body issues...I've done something terrible to my arm. So I was in the drivers seat and my handbag was on the floor behind the passenger seat. And, my bag was heavier than normal (had a water bottle in it). I reached back to grab my bag and tweaked my arm. It's tweaked on my right arm, on the outside where the tricep and shoulder come together. So about 6" down from the top of my shoulder. I don't think it's muscular as all normal muscle movements have no pain, but the kind of movement that REALLY hurts is like when you're putting on a jacket and you kind of put your arm back to get the sleeves in (hope I'm making sense). Anyway, it's hurting nonstop in that spot (but not horrible pain more sore unless I move it wrong). I actually did it a couple of weeks ago and thought maybe those anti-inflammatories I was taking for my heel would help it. But it's not. It did start to feel better the last few days and then I accidentally tweaked it again today.

Any thoughts? :confused: I should add: no swelling, no bumps and sometimes the pain radiates towards my elbow and sometime towards the top of my shoulder. I'm sure it's just one of those things that will take some time....
