STS 6 Month Alumni ***December 2011***

Wow, Kim, Santa was good to you this Christmas! Lol! I'm sure you'll figure out how to use your iPhone in no time and get addicted like the rest of us... lol!

I did my annual post Christmas scavenge through the craft store to stock up on items for next years advent calendar ;) I did very well this year and it wasn't even crazy :D

We also took down all our christmas decorations, something i kind of just can't help doing once christmas is over... ;)

I hope you all had a nice christmas celebration!

Cendrine-I am the same way. I was too busy yesterday with DH's birthday but I am going to get right to it today while I know I have the time.

Not too much going on today. Just trying to relax a little now that all the hub bub of Christmas is over:cool: I am a little worn out from all the cooking and cleaning up after the cooking.

Went to 5:45 yoga this morning and am thinking that later this afternoon, I might try and fit in an upper body workout.
I had a flat tire on the car this morning so I took the big work truck to yoga so I guess sometime today I will have to make the trip to town to get that fixed too.
So I guess a semi busy day.

Oh Kim, have fun with the phone. I still have my old phone so no iphone here;) They do look fun for some things though. SO no phone straight to iphone.;)

Off to laundry and de-christmasing!

Well I'm glad to hear that you guys deChrstmas early as well. I've often got teased in the past for taking down my tree early. I like cleaning things up and getting the space back soon after Christmas.

We have big Boxing Day sales here. DH and I hit the mall but just for a few select items that we saw good prices in the flyers. I got new cross-trainers and new running shoes as a sport stores had all the shoes on 50% off.

Are you working at all the week Rachael? I have today off work and then back tomorrow.

Yesterday DH and I did Cardio Supersets.

I'm lazy this week, I've only worked out once so far this week and am just taking it easy, since I know our regular schedule will resume before I like... ;)

I hope all of you are having a nice, relaxed time too.

Not much else to report...lol

Nothing new here either. Just checkin' in.;)

I signed up for yogaglo today and that is about the extent of my energy exertion. LOL I did just a bit of straightening up and then watched the CMA awards on my dvr...from before Thanksgiving. I am a little behind on the things I have got recorded on there obviously.
SO tomorrow I plan on getting up and doing some sort of cardio and then my friends yoga class...which is like cardio and strength all in one neat little package. ;)

So relax before the new year...I think that is a great idea!!!

Okay, what is yogaglo??

I'm going to crawl onto the couch with my blanket and book to relax with the two of you. For some reason (probably too much caffeine) I couldn't sleep Tuesday night so last night was a right off, as I was so tired after work.
Tonight I had to run the kids around after supper. I finally got home and it's 7:30, I have the house to myself and I think I will just relax instead of working out. We leave really early Saturday morning for our trip and they will be no relaxing with a group of 13 in Orlando, it will be go, go, go. so tonight I think will be my time.

It's been super busy at work with a short week and short staffed as well as I'm trying to do as much as I can for my patients so that I have less to leave for my coworkers. Tomorrow evening ds's hockey team is having a parents vs kids hockey game\. DH is playing on the parent's team so should be fun to watch. We have to leave the house at 4:30 Saturday morning so I'll have to get all the packing, cleaning, organzing done tomorrow night. So relax tonight, busy day tomorrow and then away we go! The kids are counting the hours:cool:

If I don't get time to post tomorrow, have a great couple of weeks! I'll try and check in when I can. When I get back, I'm doing clean eating and the January rotation!!!

You will have such a fun time, Kim! Glad you are taking a rest before the storm!

I have been procrastinating getting my physical in for the last three  years... I've always been very consistent going every year, but when I hurt my back, I kind of put it off and put it off.... so I finally went today, of course the dr told me off and also made me make appts for a mammogram and an ultrasound to check on some cysts that came and went last time I was there.... So, two more appts to go, that hopefully will end there...;) But it feels good to have it done for now.

For rotations, I have decided to take a Cathe trip and work through all the workouts I have from her alternating weight workouts and cardio or a combo until I'm all the way through all of them (minus the high impact non-modifiable ones like drill max) I'm kind of looking forward to it. Will be on the wagon with you, Kim, eating clean. I've watched a few movies, documentaries on food and health, the latest one was great, forks over knives, it's called, and it has some rather thought provoking stuff in there.... I think I'm becoming a modified vegan.... (only because vegans can still eat chocolate....LOL)

Rachel, how are things with you?

LOL Cendrine! I think that is a great reason to become a vegan! I think I am just a part timer. Sometimes I make something that looks so good for DH that I just can not help having some. Everytime I watch any sort of food doc though...I go back to being pretty strict for a little while. I will have to check out the knives over forks one. What other ones have you watched?

Kim-I know you are probably not going to be checking back in for a while but I hope you have a fantastic time. Yogaglo is this great website for yogi's like me that has hundreds of yoga sessions on it and they add new ones all the time. The teachers on there are some of the most known in the yoga world today and you can go on there and pick any kind of class you want. I think they might even have them for back pain but I would have to look again.

Tomorrow is DH and my 13 anniversary. I am not quite sure what we are going to do yet but it is supposed to be 70 degrees outside! So hopefully that can be incorporated into our day. I told DH we have to be home by dark though because our poor dogs are scared to death of the fireworks and we live in an area that anyone can shoot them off. SO we have to have them snuggled in the house before that starts hopefully!.

So happy New Year Kim just in case we don't talk again till next year!:p

OH any plans for New Year Cendrine?

no big new years plans for us, just simple, I think ;)

I can't remember all the food docs I've watched, but one other one is the Gerson Miracle, and a beautiful truth, I'll let you know what else I come across ;)

Going to spend some time setting up my workout manager for next week, I have a tenative schedule but I can't remember where I put it....

Congrats on your anniversary, same years as dh and I! And Happy New Year!

Didn't see a January thread so just posted here. Posting from the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando. We have 2 long busy days here. It's been warm (shorts weather for us) and the kids have swam. But the weather is dropping tonight and going to be cool tomorrow. We have spent two days at the two Universal theme parks here and have one day yet tomorrow before moving on to Disney for a week.

Hope everyone is having a good New Year's weekend. I notice that Cathe hasn't posted the Jan rotation yet.

I'm good posting on here too, since we have slowed down some... ::

I stayed lazy today as it was dh's day off, we went out to dinner and are starting back on schedule tomorrow, except, we are hitting Disneyland on Wed, since most schools will be back in session and it won't be crowded any more... ;) So it turns out to be a 3 day week.... not complaining.....

I hope it warms up again for you guys, Kim! Have fun and make sure you get to be lazy at least a little bit! ;)

Happy New Year to all, by the way! Any big plans this year for anyone?

Rachel, do you have any jobs lined up in January?

Just a quickie for me. Speaking of work Cendrine...we are going to a job today. I don't know the details yet really but I think it is a small one. Then I think we have another small one next week. I know we have lots of things coming up so I was not worried with all this time off. I just sat back and enjoyed it but I guess it is time to start back to some sort of normality.

Kim-I hope you are soaking in all the sun and fun with all your family! Sweet of you to check in with us.

Cendrine-We are having a 3 day week too but ours is due to a dentist appt.on Thurs..not Disney. LOL :p

Have a wonderful day!
