I feel kind of guilty for not working out yesterday. I was all excited about the new workouts but somehow didn't happen. THe kids had their last swimming class (dd passed, ds did not) and so now they are in the same level which didn't go over so well with ds. DD had her Christmas piano recital in the afternoon, she played Silver Bells. SHe was a little stressed without being able to practice for the week before but she did great! We had to go check on the new house, laundry and groceries and before I knew it the day had flown by. I did preview bits and pieces while doing some housework and they look great. DH wants to workout with me this morning, I think we'll try HR.

Rachael Thanks for sharing the pictures!!! I LOVED the pictures. YOur home looks so cozy! We should expect more pictures soon?? That's awesome about your DH's cousin graduating, so hard to study with kids! HOw did the birthday party go?? I had heard of the similarities between French/Spanish before but since I don't speak either it doesn't help me.
The hotel we stayed at was the Riu Palace Mexico, it's a gated hotel in a gated community. The Riu hotels are a big chain.

Cendrien How did the basketball game go?? Was that the first game? Just curious with this talk of languages, which language did you grow up speaking? I always had the impression that many Europeans learn more than one language. The kids seem to pick up the languages so easy. DS was even trying to talk in Spanish a bit.
We put those hammocks to good use! Spent lots of time reading in the hammocks, LOVED it!! I think I read 5 books this trip.
The pottery turned out well, we ended up going back a second time and we did 3 pieces altogether. We did a matching vase/platter for the living room and dd did a candle holder for her grandma for Christmas. The staff person "fixes" them all up so they look so professional and then glazes them.
The winter festival sounds like fun! Your community seems to have a lot of interesting things to do! Have your Disneyland passes expired?

Jo Any puppy decisions made??? Good for you for getting the exams done this weekend! That would be my style as well! Congrats to your friend on the marathon what a great accomplishment, I'm sure she is so proud of herself! So have you been looking at the workout blender at all??? Hope the floods don't become an issue. We're being hearing lots about the storms in Minnesota as it's not too far away. We often fly through the Minneapolis airport and so glad we didn't this time as it's been closed down the last couple of days.

Jo, sounds like you had another super fun bonding day with the dog! I didn't realize you had to learn the commands in German! LOL! Sounds like he's a really good dog! Do you think you'll ever be able to start running again? If not, at least you can take him power walking on the trails!

I'd be interested in anything about the genetically modified foods! Bring it on! Congrats on getting all your work done! You are such a hard worker!
And I second Kim, your friend is amazing, doing the Marathon! I can't ever remember how many miles it is, but somehow I can never figure out how people can run at such a clip to do it in 5 hours or less.... I think I did the math once and forgot, but it would probably take me 6 or more....LOL!

Kim, this was ds' second game, it was a tie, last time they won. Ds's heart does not quite seem to be in the game, it's as if he thinks when the other people have the ball it's their turn and he just kind of checks out and waits for his turn which of course doesn't come because he's not pursuing it.... There are a couple other boys like that, so I don't feel too bad, otherwise I'd wonder if something is wrong with him....LOL! He doesn't seem to care much, just enjoys the togetherness... Dh is assistant coach so he is really hard on him, telling him to get in the game and all.... I've never been much for team sports, never enjoyed them when I had to as a kid, more of a solo exerciser.... so I'm not as into it but it would still be good if ds got into it some as he will probably want to shoot hoops at some point in his teenage and college life with friends, and it would be good to be decent at it....
Oh, and if ds didn't pass his swim class and dd did and they were now in the same level, you bet ds would have an issue with that too! In fact, we once did a language game, and dd was better at it that ds because he had checked out and he got really mad that she was better!
As far as languages go, I grew up speaking swiss german, which is a dialect very different from the proper German. All kids learn how to read and write and talk in the proper German when they start school in first grade, unless of course they live in the french or intalian speaking part and then that will be their school language. My parents are both fluent in French and used to have frequent visits of french speaking friends, so we grew up hearing it a lot and understanding a fair amount before it became our mandatory first foreign language in fifth grade. French is taken for a minimum of five years, but that does not ensure proficiency, a lot of kids leave it in the classroom and don't try to take advantage of the multilingualilsm in our country to apply it in real life. Seventh grade kids can then choose their third language, for me that was English, some do Italian because it's a language spoken in Switzerland, but then so is English....to all the tourists....LOL! I started taking Italian in 9th grade, and it was extremely easy to learn vocuabulary because it is so similar to french, just like Spanish. But the spelling is different and I started mixing up which language spells it how....
Ds is currently learning the proper German and in a couple of years I'm starting him on Spanish and will learn right along with him, always wanted to learn it, since here in California, you get a fair number of opportunities to use it. Should be fun!
As far as the other European countries are concerned, most of them only have one language spoken, except for Belgium, I think, but i could be wrong. Germans generally go the English route and become pretty good in English, so do the scandinavian countries, but I am thinking they probably have to learn at least one other scandinavian language as well. Generally speaking, most people will choose to pursue English when given a choice, because it is considered a world language and a Swedish person can talk English with a Swiss person quite easily whereas neither one may speak the other person's mother tongue. I made friends with a gal from Sweden and Norway that way, both of us talking in a foreign language with each other...:)

And guess what! I got my Cathe gift certificate last night for my story being in the spotlight!:cool: I was just thinking, I could get the vest and use it for low impact cardio, since I can't do high impact and still get a bit extra work in... What do you think? I wish the sliders were already in the store for purchase, because that is definitely one I would like!

Good Afternoon!
Sorry for the late post but I was a bended ear today to my bf that really needed to just talk and have someone listen. I have to admit it is nice to come home and it be a quite house.LOL

Well I did it. I did my workout today, the one that is posted for me tomorrow. Big feat for me since I am not a Sunday exerciser! :p I feel very accomplished just getting that done today.haha Oh and I forgot to say it was INTENSITY! This being my second time on this one, I felt I had a better lay of the land. This morning I kind of could compare it to a commute that you have done before so you kind of know what is coming so it seems like it is going by a little faster...then you get to the point where you start thinking "Is the turn just over this hill?" Or I should say HOPING! This is a tough workout but it is certainly doable. Yes I would have to say I like this one a lot too! :D

Jo-Wow now it is all about the deciding. It seems like Ibo might have already claimed a spot in your heart though;), and I am sure when you are giving him commands in German on the trail anyone would think twice about messing with ya. LOL Something about a German German Shepherd is a little intimidating! :D

Cendrine-Do you think it is easier for you to learn another language because you know many now that might help with the similarities in other languages? Dh speaks Norwegian and English. I unfortunately only speak one but have thought many times about trying rosetta stone (sp) to try and learn Norwegian too. I guess I am a little afraid of failure when it comes to trying that. I know I need to quit being a weeny about it.
I wouldn't worry about Ds and the basketball. I think a lot of little boys are like that at first. I was never a team sport person either.

Kim-I think you might have still needed another day so don't beat yourself up about it. You are going to be back on schedule in no time and kicking butt on all the new workouts!
The birthday went great! I was kind of dreading it a little, not knowing if everyone could behave but they all chatted like nothing had ever happened. It was nice that everyone could be in the same room for my nephews sake. So maybe there is hope there.haha

I think DH and I are going to watch a movie so I am off to vege out. Have a great Sunday.

DH and I did HR this morning, it 's a good workout! I think I will feel it in my inner thighs tomorrow. Hmm, may try Intensity tomorrow.

Went to my sister's for supper. She had a 13th birthday dinner for my nephew. My nephew who is the same age as ds and they now go to school together and play on opposite hockey teams. My nephew got suspended for 3 games for back checking another player:( I have to say that he is a bit of a dirty player and most likely deserves it so he won't be playing against ds in next weeks game.

Parent teacher meetings were the day before we went to Mexico, my sister was telling me today that she heard more from the teachers about my ds than her ds:rolleyes: Her ds is a VERY underachiever and mine is very much an overacheiver:rolleyes::rolleyes: They are best friends and have grown up together. She said all 3 teachers she talked to were saying that my ds has such a good influence on her son and one teacher said that my ds is so "unique" My sister thought that was pretty funny! My ds is very "unique" , extremely mature for his age ,very verbal and an extreme high achiever.

Cendrine That is so interesting about the languages.I can see how the spelling would be easy to mix up. I notice my kids spelling things with a French twist.
I think that's sweet about your ds and taking turns on the basketball court. Does he get upset that he doesn't get a turn? He'll learn soon enough. I think it just shows good manners which is counterintuitive with some sports.
A marathon is 26.2 miles, I've done one full marathon and finished in 4hr 46 minutes. I think the weighted vest would be a great investment for you! I bought furniture sliders at Walmart and they work great!

Rachael Good for you for getting that workout in!! Are you doing the full length of Intensity? What movie did you watch?

Jo Hope the exam went well! Wanted to let you know that I read "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" on my holiday. Loved it!!! Just got the second book today.

I'M DONE!!! FINALS ARE OVER!!! WHOOOOHOOO!!!

Okay, I just had to get that out. I was up and studying by 9:00 this morning. I had thought I could study for a couple of hours and then take the test. Well, I had way more to study then I realized...and I knew this was going to be harder because we were going to be given scenarios and have to do all the computations. Anywho...I FINALLY started taking my test at 4:30! Just got done at 8:00. While I was in there DH fixed me some cod and brought in a plate of food with cod, peppers and snap peas and an orange! Oh and refreshed my water! Isn't he sweet? Okay, I have more but must go thrown the clothes in the dryer...be back in a minute.

Congrats, Jo! And what a sweetie your dh was to help you out with such a yummy sounding dinner! I can't believe how hard you worked!

Kim, your ds and his cousin being compared by the teachers is just hilarious! I thought that only happened to twins! Being a non team sports person, what is back checking?

Rachel, I'm glad the party went so well, and I hear you, being back to your own quiet place is wonderful, isn't it? You're right, I think it is easier to learn new languages when you already have learned some, especially if they have the same roots. I'm sure I would struggle with asian languages, but european for the most part would probably have some kind of common ground gramatically or in the vocabulary department...
Rosetta Stone is an excellent language program, I like it a lot and the great thing is that you can work at your own pace and go back and review as much as you need to. So go ahead, I think you'll enjoy it! Rosetta stone is also recommended by the curriculum company I use as the best language learning program out there.

I have an experiment in the dehydrator... I cooked up sweet potatoes, mashed them together with some olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, and some garam masala and spread them on my teflex sheets to dry into sweet potato chips, sprinkled them with salt and off they went. I am very curious to see if they turn out well for a healthy chip alternative.... I'll keep you posted!

But I gotta go catch some zzzz's so I am ready for workout in the morning!;)

Kim, you guys are right back at your busy schedule! LOL! You have to go on vacation for down time! LOL! Poor DS and the swimming - I can imagine that didn't go over too well. You know funny you should ask about the workout blender. I was just thinking about that last night. I haven't had time to get into looking at anything lately so plan to do that this next week. Also, I can get caught up on all kinds of stuff if I have to stay home after surgery.

So we got 2.5 inches of rain at my house from midnight last night to noon today. It's a wet one out there - glad we live on a hill. DH and SS were out looking at the flooded rivers this morning while I was studying. They stopped at one of these off the road rural cafes where they bake all their own food. It's a very popular place. Anyway DH brought me home one of their cinnamon rolls which is about 4 inches X 4 inches and 4 inches thick. I had a couple bites...yes it's delicious but WAY too sweet for me!

Cendrine, your poor DS too! I'll get some of those links posted for you and then I'll share my paper with you. I think you'll agree it will make a great topic for my research paper. There is so much controversary! And, as you may know, many people also think this is a government conspiracy! So I could have a field day researching this! Wow, all you languages sound fascinating! I took two years of french in high school but never had anyone to talk to. When I was in the 6th grade, we had spanish for a while and years ago I worked in a Mexican restaurant so I knew a few words and phrases like what a posted to Kim, but that's about it. Maybe we should pick a language and all four of us learn it together! Or maybe when you start spanish Cendrine, we could learn it too! Something to thing about. Like I have time to learn anything else right now! But I think I could get going on French again, and spanish. There's a lot of spanish speaking here too, not as much as your area, but quite a bit.

Rachel, good girl for working out today! I'm sure it was good for your friend to have sometime with you today. We all need our GF's to listen to us! Did you watch a movie? You'll love this - while I was taking my final last night, DH got all the measurements for a fence and emailed out requests for quotes from a couple fence people. We want to get a chain link fence. Then today, again, while I'm busy studying, DH went out and bought more doggie things - pooper scooper, shampoo, BIG dog treats, and a gate for between our dining room and kitchen so "soon to be pet" can be in the kitchen when we're not home. Still just missing the dog food and the dog...

Kim, I'm glad you liked that book! Now that I finished my finals, I'm going to start the third one. The second book is very different from the first but I personally thought it was equally as good! Too bad the author died!

Okay, I think I'm caught up! I'll check in with you girls tomorrow!

Cendrine, we were posting at the same time! Your sweet potatoe chip idea sounds awesome! Let me know how that works! I have about 12 sweet potatoes waiting to be made into something!

Oh and Rachel, your commute analogy gave me a good laugh!

I being beckoned to watch Indiana Jones and the Skull or whatever it's called.:p:eek::D:)

Good Monday Morning! I'm up and ready to take on the day!!!

It finally stopped raining here but I don't think it's safe to go out without a hood!

Have a good day everyone! ;):eek::p:):D

I just thought I'd poke my head in and say Hi! I'm sitting here eating my lunch: cod, sweet potatoe, peas and banana.

I haven't mentioned my shoulder lately but it's still really messed up. I called today and scheduled PT with a new place that's close to my new office. The guy that owns it is a friend of one of my employees and supposedly he used to be VP of PT at an exclusive gym chain in our area so he better be good! LOL!

Not much else going on. I need to plan a Xmas shopping trip online! LOL! DH and I are going to do that tonight.

Back to work, hope you're Monday is Magnificent!;)

Good Monday!

Well we are back from dropping off the car and running some more Christmas errands. DH had to pick up a present for his dad and his white elephant present. His is going to be fishing themed since everyone in the family does that. He is more of the safe present type and I am more of the funny present type. When I get it all put together, I will take a pic of it and post it in my New Album.:p:p;)

I have a dentist appt. with a new dentist tomorrow. I am one of those wierdoes that actually like going to the dentist. So I think it is going to be a busy day tomorrow.
I am starting to plan out all my grocery list for christmas. I am having a dinner for my FIL this next Sunday so I am planning for that, then I have Christmas Eve dinner at my MIL's that I will be bringing a few things to and then Christmas night it will be my family here. That night we are doing just dips and things since everyone will have eaten already probably pretty heavy for the day. So for this I have to get really organized with my grocery list so I can get all teh things here in the right order. You know fresher later and so on...yada yada yada boring yawn! lol

Jo-Are you taking a boat to work? haha
Congrats on finishing all the finals! How sweet of DH to keep you hydrated and fed! LOL Oh my goodness on all the doggie stuff! This is really happening! Have yall decided if it is going to Ibo or not? This is so exciting! I can not wait to see pics of whoever the lucky puppy is!!!

Cendrine-Yum is how those sweet potato chips sounded now how did they turn out??? You are not a chicken when it comes to trying things out! I am inspired haha! DO you think you could do something similar in the oven? Probably would just be best to slice them and then make chips like that but I think I have done that one time and either the temp was not right or something. I can't really remember.
I really think I am going to try the Rosetta Stone program. Maybe after the first of the year.
Oh and I love the idea of us all learning a language together. I think I am a little bit at a disadvantage though because I have absolutely no memory of my one year of spanish.:eek::D

Kim-My sisters b-day was yesterday too...Dec. 12. It is nice that your son stands out so much to his teachers. I can feel your beaming with pride! It is also nice that your son is the influence on his cousin and not the other way around...I think that is a testament to you and you dh spending so much time with your kids.
We ended up watching Predators:rolleyes: So next it is going to have to be a girl movie for me..haha

OK I guess I need to quit procrastinating and clean out my refrigerator:rolleyes: Have a great night!

Wow, Jo, I thought you already had everything for the dog, and here your dh finds so many more quite necessary things! Remind me to check in with you when we get set up with our guide dog puppy!

Learning Spanish together sounds like such a fun idea! I'm up for that! But agreed, not right now....LOL!

The sweet potato chips have been dehydrating for 20hrs and are still chewy....:( I hope they turn crispy eventually....!!!! The flavor is awesome, but the chewiness is not what I want. So I'm keeping them in. I also made a batch of almonds, sprayed them with a mineral salt substitute spray and some smokes paprika, those were done overnight and we already ate some of those today.... I have to make gingerbread today, I have another homeschool family come over on Wednesday and the kids are going to make and decorate ginger bread trains, I figured it would be easier on all if I prebaked the shapes and they can just have fun for assembly...

We went ice skating again today. It was an advent calendar treat for the kids. Dd did much better today, I got her to skate on her own for short distances towards me (more of a march, really....;)) but unassisted, so she had to learn how to balance. She fell a few times and was able to get back up herself. I has very encouraged that she made such great progress from last time. Ds in the meantime was working on learning to skate backwards... a work in progress...LOL and he made a friend he skated with while I was working with dd.

Workout today was LIC. I got worked out quite well, I think.

Oh, Jo, when I was in college we looked at the genetically modified topic from the standpoint of all the countries who don't want it.... How can they keep their produce free from contamination and the teacher came up with some funny ways of how genetically modified seeds could make it into another country without being detected... think birds for instance... LOL! Anyway, Switzerland was quite opposed to it back when we talked about it, now I can't even remember if it ever opened up the market for genetically modified produce. To be honest, I don't know how all the organic farms can keep their fields free from windblown seeds and such from neighboring farms... Ultimately I think Organic is going to have to mean, how it was grown after the seed, because eventually I don't think there will be any pure seeds left... what do you think? Anyway I definitely agree with you, you won't run out of things to research and write about for your paper! Great topic!

Hi Kim and Rachel!

Rachel, I just completely missed your post! So sorry, didn't mean to not comment about all your news!

If you can't remember anything from you year of spanish and I have never taken it, that would put us at about the same place....LOL! You might want to check into buying Rosetta Stone now, there might be a christmas special because it is pretty pricey as it is.
I forgot to tell you on an earlier post, that I probably won't do Whole Foods for Christmas. Not sure what yet.... But I do know we are making a fondue for Christmas Eve dinner with dd's godfather and his girlfriend. That should be fun. We won't have family here for christmas and we are not going anywhere, but another friend would like to spend christmas day with us to see the kids open all their presents and such. I might just make something yummy but simple for that day. You sound like you are getting very well organized for your meals!
By the way, I don't mind dentists visits either...LOL! I guess I just never had a bad experience. Lucky!

Just a quick post for me. The first day at work really seem to tire out the family:rolleyes: DH and I just did Intensity, I was surprised that he wanted to try the step segment:eek: I really like this workout! I liked it better than many of the STS cardio that came out recently.

Jo Congrats on finishing your exams! What a long day for you yesterday! Sorry that your shoulder is still giving you trouble:( Are you seeing a PT (physiotherapist) of a PT (personal trainer)? I would be up to learning a new language, I would like to learn French so my kids can't talk to each other without me knowing what they're saying even though I can figure out what "la idiot" means:rolleyes:. I did take some French from grade 3-12.

Cendrine A back check is coming up behind a player and giving them a push. (Hitting from the front or side is legal but not from behind) Hopefully your kids were not practicing checks at the ice rink;) The kids are not allowed to check until age 12 then the all have to take a hitting clinic so they can learn what is safe and what isn't. A check from the back is not safe! There are times I'm glad that ds is a goalie.

Rachael I've been starting to put my grocery list together as well. I'm getting off pretty easy this year not hosting anything. Got three family get togethers over the 2 days and will take something to each but that's not bad. I don't mind the dentist either but after 8 years of orthodontist treatment (braces, headgear and retainer) I think I'm immune to anything the dentist can do.

I'm glad you like intensity, Kim! I kind of liked it too, but am going to need to play around some more with how I will modify to be able to go through all of it without being too bored.... I was thinking of making a list of all the low impact blasts on LIC and low max etc, so I have a list to go look at when I need a low impact blast... when I'm in the middle of the workout, I always seem to remember just a few and it gets boring....LOL!
I had to smile when I read your reason for wanting to learn French, I experienced this in reverse... My parents would switch to French whenever we were not supposed to understand what they were saying, but as we got better they had to switch to English and that didn't work for very long either, so rather than become fluent in yet another language, they just stopped talking private stuff in front of us...LOL!

I'm glad you have it easy for Christmas this year! You got enough other things going on!
Thanks for explaining what a back check is, I didn't know about this at all. And no, they weren't doing that on the ice today.... LOL! Ds was actually very sweet helping dd up and getting her a cone (they have a few traffic cones for kids to push ahead of themselves who aren't confident yet, but turns out dd doesn't like how it feels....) I would be glad too that ds is a goalie!

Ginger bread is made, I was so beat that we ended up ordering pizza for dinner.... I did manage to whip up a salad to go with it and we opted for a veggie pizza...:D I decided, next year, I'm buying a ginger bread train kit, if they want to do it from scratch, they can wait until they are old enough to do it themselves.... they didn't seem too upset about this, except ds was disappointed when he found out that no, kits won't have bigger trains and more candy....

Just a quick post ...I posted this morning but something happened with our equipment here and I guess it erased it and kicked me off the internet. I think we are going to have to have a tech come and look at it.

I am zicamming. DH and I started feeling like we were getting a touch of something last night and since yall all rave about it I decided to give it a try. I have used airborne in the past and it worked. So far so good, I have not got any worse but not really better. So I am staying the same which is better than the alternative. I think it might have been hanging out with my nephew the other day since he was sniffling a bit.

I thought I would sweat it out a little this morning with Step Blast and although when I started I felt cloudy, it was the best I have ever done with that one. So weird. Maybe it was just my stubbornness that made me do so good! LOL I refuse to let a little sick mess up my day! haha

Jo-That really stinks about the shoulder! My arm is way better and I was hoping you were having the same luck...I did on the other hand want to tell you about the vibram shoes...I keep forgetting. I guess I was stubborn on that front too. When you start wearing them people say that you will experience soreness in your feet because you are using different muscles than you would normally use. Well I experiences that...but then it just kept staying sore. I was stubborn, like I said and kept using them. On Thanksgiving day when we had to make that long ride to my MIL's I got out of the car and it took me a few steps before I could walk normal because my feet were so sore! That is when I decided that I was going to quit wearing those shoes! If I use them for anything, it will not be anything that involves any kind of jumping. So anyway I hope you can figure out what is keeping your shoulder so sore!

Cendrine-I was not quit sure what a back check was either..I had a little idea, having a brother in football but the rules are a little different.
I was super impressed by your making all your own gingerbread shapes.LOL At least now you have done it once so you can say you did it and that s enough! LOL

Kim-I am so glad you liked Intensity! Have you checked out the Dec. rotation yet? She really uses the new workouts a lot so I think we are going to get really worked.

OK I have to brush my teeth again before I go to the dentist:D

Have a great day!

This is the first time all day I am able to come up for air...LOL!
We tried to get school done early, but it's always those days when you are trying to hurry up that the kids seem to be more distractable and slow... I had meant to take the kids to the mall for lunch as a treat, but it turned out into an after lunch stroll through the mall (we never go to the mall, so they really enjoy it when I make it an outing) They had hot chocolates, I had a latte, the kids played on the escalators, up-down, up-down etc... We found some little stores that had fun things for all of us. Ds found a little flashlight that buzzes you unexpectedly... dd wanted some miniature erasers that look like food items... We saw Santa and a train, but then we had to rush home, because it was today that I decided to let the kids try out a dance class at the local studio. Dd did a fairy tale ballet class and ds did a hip hop class. An hour and a half later I'm signing them both up for classes....LOL! They both did very well and more importantly, loved it too!

Rachel, I'm sorry to hear you are fighting something. I have just finally beat a sore throat and sinus infection myself. It was annoying. I forgot that I had GSE to gargle and rinse my sinuses with until a few days into the ordeal, then I started using it and got better, so I stopped, so I got worse again, so I started up again, then stopped too early again... you get the picture.... But I do have to say, gargling with salt and GSE solution really helped the sore throat fast! I did zicam too, but I think I started too late this time... I hope you feel better already!

I already used up my cathe gift certificate.... I'm getting the vest, the fire walkers and push and pull dvd. I already got a shipping notice, so I'm gonna get this all way in time for a lovely christmas present! YAY!

Jo, I hope your getting better with PT, and Kim, I hope you aren't quite as tired any more from getting back into your regular routine!

Sorry I didn't get in to post. We had a big storm last night and were without power...which I didn't know. Major thunder and lightening and I slept through it; and since we lost power, I just kept sleeping and didn't get up until 9:30! YES you read that right 9:30! Anyway, my day was all messed up because of that. So I'll have stuff to tell you tomorrow as I saw the Physical Therapist and I did go to spinning then came home and our wireless wasn't working so couldn't get online. But, I did get to watch TBL finale! Kim, what did you think? I thought Patrick would win. So was glad to see it!

Anyway, wireless just came back a little bit ago so I'll get caught up with everyone and tell you more about the PT. Right now need to go to bed!

Oh, and I learned Spanish in the 6th grade but don't remember a thing except what I had posted to Kim and I can count to 10! :p

TTYT!

Having a second lazy evening just feeling very tired and headachy the last couple of days. Glad that I'm not on any rotation and can just work out at my leisure this week. Tomorrow is my staff Christmas dinner so chances are there won't be a workout tomorrow either. Our rehab assistant was diagnosed with shingles so she has to be off work for 10 days:confused:

Rachael, I did look at the Dec rotation but decided just to play with the workouts and some extra downtime over the next couple of weeks then get back into a full rotation in January.

Cendrine I don't blame you for ordering a kit next year. My MIL often has made gingerbread houses from scratch with the kids and it seems like an incredible amount of work. The dance classes sound like fun!! Your schedule seems to be filling up!

Jo I was happy to see Patrick and Mark win! The next series looks like it has some interesting twists!

I don't know if I told you that I was called for jury duty. I applied for an exemption and it's looking like that I might not get it. So I might be going for jury duty in a couple of weeks

Another busy day for me. The gingerbread trains turned out great, but I still think I'll give the kits a try next year... I don't know, it's a bit depressing I guess, how I used to be able to cram stuff in my day and now I guess I still can, but my body complains big time....! The joys of getting older, and I'm not even old yet by grown ups' standards....LOL!
Kim, I was called to jury duty several days before I was even officially an american citizen! I was given the excemption, probably will keep getting it since I'm homeschooling... But when the kids are grown, I would quite like to be part of a trial, as long as it's an interesting one!
You sound like you are under the weather a bit, so taking it easier on the workouts is a good idea.

Jo, power outages always make you realize how used you are to electronics, doesn't it? I'm amazed when I realize how practically everything I do involves some sort of electronic gadget or thing...

How are you today, Rachel?

I found some interesting information on the internet about treating and healing bulging discs, so I am going to enter an experimental phase for trying to get my back pain free and onto the path of actually healing as well. I hope it helps. It's gonna take me a while to read up on everything and implement all the things into my day and workout routine, but it sounds promising, just time consuming and demanding for anybody with any kind of life going on on the side...LOL! I'll do my best, but won't be able to do everything recommended just because of life having to go on while I'm doing this. But I'm hopeful!
