Stretch max question - or is it my imagination

Most recently I've been more consistent using stretch max(at least three times or more per week).

Last week was my yearly exam, during the height, weight check the medical assistant reported I had grown more than one inch!!! She double checked the height from last year and confirmed it was almost one inch more.

I could only attribute this to stretch max. Does anyone one know if one of the benefits of implementing consistent stretching into your exercise routine is getting taller? Dont get me wrong, I'm petite in height so to add another inch is great news.

Thanks.

Carmen

I'm sure you improved your posture which gave you a more accurate measurement. You only seemed shorter when you were slouching.;)

I've grown an inch too, in the past couple of years, but I don't even have Stretchmax, so I can't say it was that!

I'm 47, I'd say I'm pretty much past my growing years too. BTW I've always had pretty good posture. I try to be mindful of slouching, especially if I'm being measured at the doc's office. So I'm pretty happy with this news, especially as I get on in years (osteoporosis, etc.).

I have a vague memory of reading somewhere that intense exercise can actually stimulate your body to produce more human growth hormone and that sometimes people will grow a little as a result. I am also an inch taller than I used to be, but I'm not sure how much is "hormones" and how much is the improved posture :7

I haven't heard about the human growth hormone production, but I have heard of this as a result of stretching, yoga, pilates and strengthened core excercises. Back to the better posture and spinal alignment thing. I know when I am more fit, and do yoga, etc. and even feel taller as a result of improved posture.

I would love to grow one more inch (or two...alright three so I can throw those heels in the trash)! If that's possible (even if I'm not in my growing years anymore) I'd love to know how to achieve it.
