Stress eatilng

Does anyone have a suggestion for a stress eater? I usually eat pretty clean, cheating a little on the weekends. However, whenever I get really stressed I go on a binge, going for all the wrong foods, especially the sweets. When I say binge, I really mean it but I'm too embarrassed to tell you exactly how much I'm eating. I'll even hide the wrappers so my husband won't know. Then the next day I hate myself but I pull myself back together and eat REALLY clean for a few weeks. On an average day I eat pleny of fruits, veggies, lean meat, and the "good" carbs. What can I do to stop this pattern? Sometimes I think it's because I eat so well and deprive myself of the "junk" that when I've had a bad day I feel like I'm headed for a tailspin and just go for it. Please help!

I can't wait to hear a solution for this one! You took the words right outa my mouth on this one, it is especially bad for me right befor THAT TIME of the month. I hope it helps to know you are definately NOT alone on this one so I unfortunately don't have an answer but feel your pain.

I'm not sure I have any novel ideas here, but are you making sure to eat these things in moderation? I mean, don't cut out stuff you love completely. That's the quickest way to bingeing for anyone.

Second, is there anything you like to do that can take your mind off of your stress. For me it is diving into a good workout..as I'm sure it is for a lot of us. Any hobbies, etc.

I know these aren't rocket science ideas but they tend to work for me. I hope you can figure this out!
