I think I strained my serratus anterior muscle or an oblique. The initial pain was in my back (I thought was lat)...it came on the day after I tried to push myself too far during Turbo Barre
, the ab move with your elbow stuck to the floor and rising the other side up. I did Cardio Supersets the next night and felt okay until the next day when my right side was very tender. It felt like I bruised my ribs; hurt like the dickens to cough or sneeze or take a really deep breath. It has been about 2 weeks now and I've been careful to avoid any core work or toe-pushups (tough with the new series!) and have been doing only Turbo Barre (minus core) and walking and taking a LOT of rest days
. Still hurts to cough, sneeze, breathe deep, lay down on that side, etc.
Has anyone else done this before? How long until you healed enough to get a good workout. I really hate not being able to give it my all!!!
