My answers

1 The best Christmas present was from my Mother. We had not long moved to Australia from New Zealand, so we were all abit home sick, especially the 3 children who were missing their friends. Fantastic Mum paid for the 3 children to fly back to NZ for a week as a Christmas gift from her to us all, so they could catch up with their friends, and DH and I could spend a week alone without the children.

That had NEVER happened before (the children were always a handful) and has NEVER happened since.

2 The worst Christmas present was from my MIL two years ago (god bless her) - a box of 6 very large waist high underpants - different colours with butterflys on them. Not sure what she was trying to say to me with this one - but thanks Mum!

Still have them - still boxed - cant throw them away because of quilt, and cant find another 'receiver' either.

3 The most romantic present was from my DH. A lovely sky blue very short nightee - a little bit naughty in the see through fabric and length. What made it romantic was the fact it wasnt even my size - far to small. Now, that could have been the LEAST romantic gift, but to my DH I had always been, and always will be in his eyes, a sexy, perfectly sized woman.

Okey okey!!!......maybe he was just thinking fast on his feet with that excuse, but I still love him for it..........and Ive kept the nightee

4 The least romantic present was from my DH also, not long after we were married. He wouldnt dear to now. The gift was a NEW IRON. So, he just didnt go out and replace our old iron as you would, Noooooooo, he waited for my birthday, wraped it, inclosed a card, and then expected me to gush with joy. I couldnt wait for the new ironing board to show up.......NOT!!!!

I still bring that story up occasionly when he gets above his station. haha

Marion,

I have to say that this is a great post. And since your MIL gave you those lovely panties 2 years ago, you can toss them now. Had you worn them with any regularity, they'd be worn out by now. :) :) :) On the other hand, you could do your workouts in them since they're so big.... hehehehe! Just kidding!!

And give your hubby a hug. He sounds like a dear man.

1 The best Christmas present - a Reebok Step. I was stepping on one of those older, hard box kind about 10 years ago. My husband watched me fall off a few times and bought me a Reebok (insanely expensive when we didn't have any money) and I still use it!

2 The worst Christmas present - when I was about age 20 and about 20 lbs overweight, my mother bought me a cat suit and a pink/blue/green/orange washed silk jacket to go over it. I am only 5'2" - it looked ridiculous. Even she admitted that it was a stupid idea.

3 The most romantic present - from my husband. When I first started to lose weight and get in shape, I was hiking a lot and starting to learn to mountaineer. He bought me top of the line trekking poles. It doesn't sound very romantic, but it did involved a lot of research and I appreciated that he believed in me.

4 The least romantic present - again, from my husband. A big papercutter from Office Depot. I do use it a lot!
