Stephanie Meyer vampire series

Anyone else reading these books? The girl at work recommended these to me even though they are considered Young Adult. I love the Harry Potter series so I thought I'd give them a try. I read the first one in one day. I love them all and can't put them down. I think that it's mainly because my relationship is not good right now and I so want to have my own "Edward" (for those of you who've read it you'll know what I mean).

I just finished reading all three books in the series. I really like the series, because its somewhat different than what I normally read. They are very addictive. I am 40 and I did not consider them too young. However, I found that after a while, it was more difficult to identify with Bella's struggles and I found myself getting impatient with her immaturity. But once I reminded myself (so to speak) that she was a teenager, I was able to enjoy the story and the fantasy element throughout.

I definitely think you will enjoy the rest of the books in the series. Happy Reading!

This has been a popular series with my students and is up there on my "to-read" list. Right now I am reading Blue Bloods about rich vampire teens who live in Manhattan. *lol*

Ooh, I went through a big vampire phase in college (not like I went around acting vampirish--though I do have very pointy vampy canines) but I read a lot of vampire books and saw a lot of vampire movies. I think I'll have to see if this series is at my library and revisit my vamp past.

My DD got me into these, and just finished Eclipse about a month ago. They are a fun read.
