Step Works ?

Hi,
Just wanted to ask for comments on Step works. Previewing it on the site and it looks like fun. I am presently addicted to RS right now and was wondering if SW is as fun. I like RS because it does not have a long stretch section and the combos just go right into it. I like Power circuit for the same reason ... it just seems to be suited for people with short attention spans. I have Power max and am not very fond of it b/c it just seems to have an endless warm up and the routine seems repetitive. SW being an older tape does it have similar breakdown like PMax?

I have had this tape for months before using it because I was scared it looked too hard after watching it for the first time.

But a couple of weeks ago I bit the bullet and found it was great. Lots of interesting footwork, at the moment I can't do the whole tape but what I have done I love.

I would recommend it you can't have too many Cathe step tapes and this one is becoming a favourite.

I really enjoy Step Works, but it is more repetitive than RS. The moves are bigger, and there are no mambos or cha-chas. It is more athletic than dancey, and I love the music. It's one of my favorites. It is more similiar to PowerMax than to RS. If you want something with a RS feel, I would put the cardio portions of All Step and Step and Intervals together to get a longer cardio workout. It's also fun to combine the first half hour of Bodymax with one of the CTX cardios. Have fun. Janet

I like Step Works, and it's easier to learn than RS. I had a lot of Cathe's under my belt before tackling it, so the choreography was not too tough at all. For a beginner Cathe-ite, it could be hard to learn.

Step Works is my favorite all step tape -- and I have all of Cathe's with the exception of the Wedding video.

It's fast paced and athletic, and I love it. I find it more intense than RS; therefore, much funner. On the other hand, if you don't care for Power Max you might not like Step Works, because in many ways they're similar. I do find the pace in Power Max slower, and funnily enough, that makes it harder for me. After I've completely warmed up, I wanna GO, GO, GO! Pick up the pace, time is money, put the pedal to the metal, vrooom, vrooom, vrooom!!! born to be wild! let's get a sweat on here! .... Breathe, Patricia, breathe... And that's why (pant, pant) I love Step Works.

I think the choreography is harder than the other Cathe tapes, but easier than RS. However, the intensity is higher. I use RS for intermediate cardio and StepWorks for tougher days. I think it's fun, I like it, it's more fun than PowerMax.

I LOVE Step Works! It always leaves me in a puddle of sweat. I have yet to master the choreography of the cool down, but the rest of the tape I got in about 2 or 3 tries. I hope you like it as much as I do! Have fun!

Step Works is my favorite

I don't have Rhythmic Step (yet) so I can't really compare it to that. But compared to Power Max, I think Step Works is more fun (although I do love Power Max -- probably my second favorite). The moves aren't broken down as much in Step Works as they are in Power Max, so if you have a tough time learning new choreography it could be a little frustrating. There is a bit more "take it from the top" in the first step section than I'd like, but I just figure it gives me more time to perfect the moves. The tempo is probably the fastest of all Cathe's videos, but that doesn't bother me. I like 'em to move fast, too! ;-) It is definitely a very challenging video. Out of the Cathe cardios I have in my collection, only BodyMax and IntervalMax are more intense, IMHO.
