Step Ups in LL

I am wondering how high of a step/box you use for the step ups. I have been using my step at 8" with 10 lb weights in each hand and get a workout from all those step ups.

I was using a 12-14" step up (my hubby made for me) but it tends to hurt my knees a little too much. I don't use weight when I use the higher step because I get way too winded.

Does it matter if I use such a lower step? I don't have anything between the 8" and 12-14".

Hi Rhonda! The key to a successful fitness program is a safe and effective one. If stepping on 8 inches keeps you free of knee pain and gives you a good workout, then stick with it. It doesn't get more ideal than that;-)! Keep up the good work!
