Step question

I'm new to Cathe and haven't done any of her step workouts yet. The only step I have is the Firm step (the one where the "risers" are connected to it and fold in and out). Will this step be sufficient for doing her step routines? I'd really hate to have to buy another step. I'd appreciate anyone's input especially if they are familiar with the step I'm describing and have had, or have not had, success using it for Cathe's routines. Thanks guys!!

You mean the Firm "death box"? LOL! (So named by some because the first version of it was not sturdy). I've never seen it, but if it is made out of the same plastic as the Transfirmer and the Fanny Lifter, I would not want to use it for impact step like Cathe's. The plastic is much harder and less shock absorbant that that used in the Club Step.

My sister worked out with Cathe on this step for quite awhile if I remember correctly. I also have this step and when we work out together, one of us is relegated to the firm step. In my opinion, it will work with Cathe's workouts but I've noticed when I use the firm step that it does have a much "harder" feel to it. It's not as comfortable nor is it as well made, but it will work. After using it for awhile, you may want to consider graduating to the real step but for now, I would use what you've got.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a trial run and see how it goes. I don't want to hurt myself so if I feel it's too unstable or not sturdy enough I'll invest in the Club Step.
