Step, jump & pump or............

Which would you say would be the toughest overall workout, step, jump, and pump or cardio & weights?
I wanted to do one of these in the morning. I have never tried step, jump & pump and was wondering if it works all the muscles?

I would say SJP is the harder workout of the two. It definitely works all the muscles. But if you've never done it before you'll definitely want to watch it at least once to help get the choreography down.

Hi Angela!

They're both tough. One way to up the intensity for cardio and weights is to do the workout on an 8' step instead of a 6' (that is if you haven't been doing this already). Both workouts are fun and work you hard!

In my book, SJP is harder but C&W is a little more fun. I like to do SJP like a Body Max, do all the cardio first, then do the weight training. That's only because I really like hi/lo and don't like to break it up with the weight circuit. Sometimes I just do the cardio only premix. I did C&W this morning, though, and I really enjoy the workout as is. The choreography is good which makes it very enjoyable. Both workouts have great ab routines. When I was getting back in shape after having my baby a couple of years ago, I did the abs in SJP a lot and credit it with helping me get my core back in shape.

These are two of favorite workouts. Fun music and choreography in both. Overall I would say that they are about the same. SJP has harder weights, but C&W has tougher cardio. I don't think either workout is super hard though. Very doable.

I just purchased IMAX2 & Cardio & Weights and did CW 2 nights ago. I really liked it. I was sore the next day. The cardio moves were tough but not too tough. I'm still getting used to her complex choreography. but at least she repeats the moves alot and her cuing is great. I haven't purchased SJP and SB yet but they are on my list. SJP looks awesome.

I love SJP as well as all the premixes available on the DVD. I don't do C&W as often but still think it's a very good workout. SJP is definitely more challenging.
