A few weeks ago, I had to travel out of town to care for my sick father (who is recovering now, thank goodness!) A friend of mine gave me guest pass the the local gym because she thought it would be good for me to keep up with my workouts. After 2 days of just sticking to the ellipticals and free weights, I got brave and decided to take my first live aerobics (step and weights) class ever. I cannot tell you how much fun it was! The absolute best part--I kept up with the choreography thanks to Cathe! Just wanted to share a fun experience with you all.
Hey Lori: That's wonderful!! I workout in a gym as well as at home and really love the dynamic and energy that working out with others gives me. I find that if my energy is lagging, a good cue from the instructor or a knowing grin (or grimace x( ) from a fellow participant can get me hepped up again. I'll also admit to a bit of competitivness that, at times, creeps in and makes me work harder;-)
