Starting 3 mo LIS/STS rotation Feb 12th

Woke early this morning to get an early start. Well I haven't w/o yet and it is almost nine! Just plain tired today so I lack the motivation. The weather is over cast and makes me sleepy too.

I finished my work out a few minutes ago...

20 minutes of jump rope intervals and Bob's Yoga for the Warrior (yes, I loved it so much that I did it again! :D). Awesome combo!

Heidi:: Chug some java, take a power nap and GO GET THAT WORK OUT!!! You can do it girl! I know you can! :)

I guess this weekend calls for a rest period. I am just so exhausted my head is spinning.

I will start tomorrow off on week 8 of the jan double rotation of STS/LIS.

Ok w/o done for today:

3.5 miles outdoors total

Jog walk 1.59 at a pace of 12mph

I feel a little better and clear headed now. ;) just needed some fresh air I guess.

Wendy - looks like you've been getting alot of yoga/stretching in. Feeling good?

Heidi - I understand about being exhausted. I was so exhausted for a few days last week that I came home early on Friday and slept for three hours. Glad to see your were able to push through your exhaustion on Sat and get outside. I know you enjoy being outside.

I only worked out once last week as since I was totally exhausted so decided to start the Nov LIS rotation again today. I actually made it up early this morning to do AB minus chapters involving mountain climbers and spider mans.

I hope to get my workouts done in the morning, but if for some reason that doesn't happen, I will do my best to get r dun at night. I really need my evenings/nights free for other things so I hope I can make mornings a habit, but I may need to baby step this since I am not a morning person.

Hello Ladies. :)

This morning's work out was Tonique: Cardio Mat, Booty Barre: Upper Body Weight Work, Slim Series Express: Cool it Off (stretch). It was a looong work out totaling 2 hours. Cardio Mat was an hour on it's own, Upper Body-30 mins and the stretch was 30 minutes too. It's okay though. Felt great barring the b*tchy shoulder during the weight work....*sigh*... :(

Heidi: Great work outs!:) So when will you be ordering Bob's yoga work out? ;)

Michelle: Sorry you weren't able to fit in more work outs last week. Fingers crossed for you for this week! It can be tough but it's important for you to do it so you just gotta figure out a way to make it happen! For one thing if you need to work out at night you need to tell that DH of yours that he needs to learn how to share the tv! :p Yep, I said it!;) Tell him to take up reading for an hour a couple nights a week! :) Men can be soooo protective over there tube time. OY. :rolleyes: LOL (I hope that you don't take offense-everything I say is meant in the most light-hearted of ways!) Yes, I am loving the extra stretching and yoga I am doing! Really making me feel good and I am already seeing a big difference in my flexibility! The yoga is also a strength work out too so that's a huge plus! It keeps me motivated and is why I adore Bob's yoga work out sooooo much! ;)

Hi Wendy!

You are right, I have to find a way to get the workouts done one way or another. I really need to stay mobile and active to keep the arthritis from progressing. I was just so exhausted last week there was no way I could give anything to a workout. I think I may need to take some supplements and change my diet a bit.

I have the desire to get the workouts done in the morning, but energy and awakeness is a whole other story. What helped this morning was I did most of my morning routine while I let the caffeine kick in then worked out so that worked pretty well.

I know you meant it in lighthearted fun ;)...I actually have my workout room set up with its own TV and DVD player now so that isn't the issue - just on Monday nights when he is home, he asked me to relax with him. The rest of the weeknights, I would like to be free for cooking, studying, household duties and investing in some relationships so that said, I gotta get those workouts done in the morning. You have actually inspired me since you do it, I just gotta overcome the sleepies. I am praying that I become a morning person because I do like the idea of getting the workouts done plus I love to have quiet time reading and praying on my screened in patio as the sun rises.

I also want to incorporate more stretching and I don't see that happening in the morning due to time constraints so I think two evenings a week and then adding it to my Saturday routine will work. Twenty minutes in the evening twice a week is more do-able for me than a full on workout.

Tomorrow is a rest day on the rotation, then it is CSS on Wed. So I will check in probably on Thu.

4DS Kickbox-weights first premix for me today + STS Extended Stretch. Good stuff!:D

Michelle:: Oh so now that you have your own personal work out space with a tv and dvd player you have no excuse not to get busy! ;) As for easing into morning workouts..pick shorter, easier work outs to tackle at first! Don't expect miracles from day one but if you are persistant it will pay off and you will get used to it. It's soooo much easier to get it done that way!!!! So worth it!

Heidi:: Guess we both worked heavy legs today huh? Good job! Now we can both whine about having DOMS tmrw too! LOL :p

Way to go on your workouts. You ladies are going hard and intense!

Wendy - thanks for the advice about shorter workouts -- funny thing, that is what I have been doing and eventually maybe I can build up to longer times on some days if I can get up earlier.

By the way, my Grandma is about to pass so I will be heading out of town and gone for over a week so I won't be checking in :(. I plan to bring Turbo Barre and Stretch Max as those should travel well. I will be back online starting the week after Easter.

Yesterday turned into a hectic day for me and never got to do my w/o as planned.

I DID IT TODAY! Kicked my butt for sure! I added in my 10# vest for all exercises. Great leg workout!!! :) Not sure I will be walking too fast tomorrow...time will tell. LOL!

Tomorrow is an appt. with my Mom so I am not sure what I will do. I have an upper w/o to do on the rotation plus cardio.

Good Afternoon.

Another busy day...9am tax appointment. By the time I got home it was like 10:30 then a snack, work out, shower, lunch, a little fart around time and then I was busy cooking dinner ahead of time for tonight since we have something to do so won't be able to eat until about 7-I don't want to have to cook but wanted real food. I made chicken enchiladas from the Skinny Taste site. They look yummy!

Today's work out was BM2 upper body only, Intensity hi impact HiiT only and the yoga/stretch work out from Beach Body called Awaken The Body. All totaled it was about an hour work out. The yoga/stretch was the longest segment clocking in at 27 mins. Felt good. Tomorrow it's back to Bob's killer yoga! :D

K, this is just a quickie..want to wash the dishes before heading out. Be back to catch up with personals tmrw most likely!:cool:

Busy morning here with my Mom. Came home for some work and ended up taking a nap. This weather dreary makes me tired!

Ok! Major lower body DOMS today! Sitting down is just a little slow going and oh so sore! Lol! I need a cushy seat for sure!
I think I will call it a rest day and begin tomorrow with Sts disc 21. Later if it's not raining out I will do another run around the block. It is 3.5 miles out and back for me. This area also has a lot of large hills!

Wendy: nice job on your workouts! We are opposite on the DOMS but maybe we will flip flop in the next day or so with our w/o's. ;)

Hello Heidi...FINALLY:rolleyes:...and I don't even have very long at that!:eek: It's amazing how busy one's life gets once one is no longer employed at a paying job! :p

This morning's work out (while my sauce was cooking) was the following (my original plan morphed into something a bit larger lol)...

Slide n Glide: Warm up + Cardio + leg conditioning
STS D3: firewalkers, front and side paper plate lunches using dixie cups in lieu of weights + the 5 exercises in the bonus.
BL Yoga for Weight Loss: 30 minutes (levels 1+2 but omitting ab segment)
STS Extended Stretch

Nice workout today! Does this mean you'll have lower body DOMS like me? ;)

The upper w/ o I did today didn't seem all that bad.. I will find out tomorrow if I worked hard enough.

Things got busy this afternoon and then of course it was time for dinner. ;)

What's your plan for tomorrow? My plan is to sleep late if I can and do a run later with abs.

Finally popping in to report my work outs!

Saturday: 15 minutes on the ext and a full body weight circuit at the gym with DH. I skipped shoulders though and did abs instead since my shoulder was still buggin' me at that point. I think I did the right thing coz it feels really good now! YAY! :D

Sunday: First half (45 mins) of Yoga X.

Today: X-Train Fit: Cardio + Yoga Relax.

So today's work out was::

~ Butt n Balance (Bob Harper Inside Out Series Cardio DVD work out #2 but it's not cardio so go figure!:p)

~6 sets each of 5 reps of push ups and 5 reps of reverse push ups. The regular push ups were standard stance for first round, wide for second round and narrow for third and then repeated like that for next 3 sets.

~4 sets of 10 reps of dip station abs.

~BH Yoga for the Warrior.

DONE!:D

I am still out of town, but decided to keep up with reading. Way to go to both of you for getting in those workouts!

I want to thank both of you for this check in - for the accountability and support. It has been fun. I am part of another check in and I believe you both are part of other check ins as well, so to help me be more efficient with my time, I am going to narrow it down to just the other check in.

Again, it has been fun -- I am sure I will see you around from time to time on the forum.
