Today's work out::

Squeeze:Lower Body Challenge
BBL: Bum Bum
Abs: 2 sets/20 reps of 3 exercises
STS Exteneded Stretch x 2 (I was finishing up when DH got home from the gym and wanted to stretch so I did it with him hence doing it 2x. Felt awesome the 2nd time around! :D)

Hey Michelle and Wendy,

Michelle: How are you doing? :)

Wendy: NICE JOB! :) Oh your going to be feeling those butt workouts for sure! HAHA! Too funny on your double stretch but this should help with the DOMS.

Today was a trail hike with my DD and DH. I truly enjoyed the warmer day and fresh air.
This week should be warmer and I SOOO look forward to getting out doors more.

Off to plan my weeks workouts!

Have a great Sunday afternoon and evening.

Hi Wendy and Heidi!

Heidi - that trail hike sounds fab. I would love to do that with my hubby one day when his schedule permits and he wants to :D.

Wendy - how are you liking the BBL? You have done it before? Did you decide to do that to focus on the tush region, or just for some variety?

I did STS Back and Tris on Saturday. I have to look at my list when I get home, but I am doing whatever is next for LIS tonight and will do STS tomorrow morning or night.

I am changing the rotation a bit. M/W/F will be LIS days and Tu/Th/Sa will be STS days. IF I don't get to LIS on Fridays, then I will just add it to Sat. I am going to cut down STS by skipping a few chapters as I feel I will still be getting plenty of weight work (keeping it to 40-45 minutes rather than 55-60 minutes). I will also do the premixes of LIS to cut down on the time as I really don't need that long of a workout and I was trying to figure out how to get more stretching in and Wendy, I thought your idea of shortening LIS for stretching/yoga would work for me too. I do stretch every morning which has helped my arthritis immensely, but I have been wanting to do longer stretches after my workouts to work on my ROM and flexibility. I see improvement already with the standard after workout stretches, but think longer stretches would be amazing for me.

Hope you both had a good day and have or had a great workout.

TTYL.

Michelle

Good Morning.

Today's work out was Squeeze Upper Body and Waist work (30 mins), JM Fast Fix Kickbox #3 (core focus) and 20 mins of Yoga Relax. :)

Michelle:: I decided to start using BBL partially for a change but definitely also because it is a very effect work out for my lower body. I did a rotation once and I got great results! It can be hard to commit the time to stretching/yoga but it's worth it IMO. I don't realize it until I convince myself to do it though and it takes a while in between "convincings". ;) LOL Rearrange/change the rotation however you need to so that it works for you and your schedule and makes you happy! :)

Heidi:: Doing Extended Stretch two times in a row was fabulous for sure! You should try it! :) The outdoor hike with DH/DD sounds wonderful!

Happy Tuesday!

Hi Michelle and Wendy! :)

Today was STS #1..I had to finish where I left off yesterday because I had to rush out to work. I also added in BBL BB for lower body.
LOVED THAT WORKOUT! :) It was short but sweet!

Michelle I hope you can squeeze in some walks with your DH soon! It is just so refreshing to get out there. ;)
Your doing the same as both Wendy and I on cutting down the workout times. It is just too hard to get in an hour or so each day. Or have to split it up...1/2 in the morn and 1/2 at night is a good plan if you can do it.

Wendy: Wow what a mix of workouts! LOL! Sounds like we may both be sore tomorrow!
NICE JOB!

I am still sticking with the Jan program and am on week 6. So tomorrow will be:
Disc 6 legs and BBL HT

Thurs: Afterburn and BBL BB If I have the time to do both....
Friday: Disc 5 & BBL CA
Saturday: A run from runervals 6.0 and BBL HT
Sunday: BBL BB and BBL TT

This is the plan....will see if I can stick to it. It all depends on how my days end up if being on the busy side or I AM TOO SORE! HAHA! ;)

Have a good one!

Good Morning.

Happy to report that I have DOMS from y'day's work out! :)

This morning I did ankle weight work from BBL High and Tight, JM's FF KB #2 (lower body focus) + 150 bicycle crunches. No time for a long stretch but it was a good w/o just the same! ;)

Heidi:: Nice job finishing up STS D1 the next day! Love your plan for the rest of the week! Glad you enjoyed BBL Bum Bum so much! I hope you like the rest of them too! The only one I don't care for and never do is Cardio Axe. It's too dancey for me. I don't have that much rythm! :p

Have a great day!:D

Hi Wendy & Heidi!

Great job on your BBL work and all the other extras you have added on top of it.

After more thought, I decided that with all I have going on right now and a major project that needs my attention, I am going to stop the STS/LIS rotation and just do the Nov LIS rotation instead. LIS is tough enough on its own (I am an intermediate exerciser) and I know of several other ladies in the forums who have gotten great results with LIS, specifically a few with pear shapes such as myself so in this busy season I feel LIS is a better choice for me and will still enable me to stay active and reach my goal. I may do premixes on some days so I can add in extended stretches from STS or Stretch Max. I really need some extra stretching and my body does respond well to 30 minutes of cardio 3-4 days a week so with LIS, I am sure I will be just fine :).

I know this started out as a STS/LIS check in, but I hope we can continue to check in with each other as it is helpful and I enjoy the comraderie with you ladies.

Michelle ;)

Good Morning Michelle and Heidi! :)

Today I did the Express single intervals premix of Afterburn and the last 25 minutes of Yoga Relax. It was perfect! :D

Michelle:: Do what works for ya! We will still check in regardless of how many times you modify or just flat out change your mind mid-rotation. Trust me, I am no stranger to that! I do it all the time! :p Speaking of which, I have been driving myself bonkers trying to figure out EXACTLY how to set up my rotation. I am done with that! I know which work outs I want to include so I am just going to decide day by day exactly what I will do. Much less stressful that way!

Good Morning and TGIF! :D

This morning's work out was brought to you by www.myomytv.com and let me tell you, it's aptly named!

After knowing about the site for a while I finally gave one of the work outs a try instead of doing a Body Rock or Zwow and my oh my :p;) I sure am glad that I did!

This is what I did and kicked my butt!!!::

Core HIIT Workout | myomytv.com | Free Fitness Blog

Then I stretched with 20 mins of Yoga Relax. Felt awesome! :)

That's all for now.

BBL!

Hi Wendy & Heidi!

My Grandma has been in ICU and I thought I was going to take a last minute trip up as one doctor said it was the end, but it turns out that one doctor was wrong and another said there is still hope for recovery so I will plan a trip up at some point, but not having to do it last minute. All that to say, with this going on, trying to plan, my focus, etc. I didn't workout last week. However, tonight I am starting the LIS rotation with some tweaks as needed (pre-mixes and more stretching on some days) with AB tonight. My workout room is almost completed with a TV and DVD player (just need an adjustable workout bench) so now I can workout even if DH is home :D.

Wendy - that looks like an interesting blog. I may pass that along to a friend. What is on your tap for the week?

Heidi - I hope you are doing well. Are you still doing BBL and STS?

TTYL.

Michelle

Good Morning.

Since I haven't checked in since Friday..

My recent work outs look like this::

Sat: Squeeze Stronger. I skipped around and alternated upper body and lower body and also did some waist work. Took about 60 minutes but I didn't use everything offered in the 80 minute work out.

Sun: I did a mish mosh that looked like this--
Squeeze Stronger (what I skipped y'day + w/u): Deadlift warm up, pretzel clam combo, ab medley, back dancing.
High Reps: Band work for upper body, Disc work for lower body, calf raises.
Athletic Training: Warm up + cardio segment on step.
Low Impact Challenge: Blast and stretch.
It took about 90 minutes.

Mon: 40 minutes of Cardio Kicks + 30 mins of Baron Baptiste Long and Lean Yoga.

Today's plan (I think but I could change my mind at any given moment! :p) will be a Slim Series full body work out, possibly a short cardio + some yoga or stretching.

Got some bad but not so bad news on friday! I've officially been welcomed to the unemployment line for the first time in my life! Yeup, I was laid off from my job on friday afternoon at 4pm. I have to say though as much as it wasn't "fun" to hear, I don't view it as a bad thing. My DH makes enough $ to support us + I will be collecting and I hated my job and wanted something new anyway so I see this a blessing in that now I have the opportunity to really look for a job or a career that I will be happy with! I am even going to look into progams that will teach me a new marketable skill! Wish me luck! In the meantime I can do any work out I want w/o having to concern myself with how long it is, my house will be spotless, I will spend lots of time at the park after school with my son and I can cook to my heart's content cause I'll have the time!!!:D Not so bad when ya look at that way now is it? ;):)

Michelle:: HUGS! So sorry about your grandma but so glad the doctor has hope for her!!! The docs don't know everything. If your grandma is a fighter you never know when/if things will turn around regardless of what a doctor may tell you! It happens all the time!

Good Morning.

Today was going to be a rest/yoga/stretch day but I couldn't resist the call of a good sweat so I did HST cardio and upper body premix. I was done with it before 8:30am! Impressed with myself! ;)

I didn't add on an extra stretch because I wanted to be on the horn with the unemployment office the minute it opened to get my issues straightened out so I could file. Even STS Ext. Stretch would have run over the time I had so I opted out of it for today and actually feel a bit guilty for skipping! Who'd a thunk it!? :p Finally got my claim filed though so I feel better now. Phew!

My shoulder was hurting during certain exercises. I think I need to rest it for a few days or so. I will take out shoulder work and maybe avoid push ups too until it feels better.

In addition to my shoulder, I think working out maybe have been the wrong choice. :( I am used to one rest day per week and I could feel it during this work out. The cardio had me more winded then I think it should have. Lesson learned. Tmrw is a rest/stretch/yoga day no matter what!!!!!

Hope all is well with you both!

Hi Wendy and Heidi!

Wendy - I am sorry to hear about your job, but it is great that you are seeing the positive side of it and I hope you enjoy the time for other things and discover what you'd like to make your new career choice.

I hope your shoulder feels better soon and you do have a restful day tomorrow.

Heidi - how are you?

I didn't do AB Monday, but last night instead. Hubby was home and he asked me to relax with him so looks like I will not be working out on Mondays going forward. My lower back was hurting so I skipped a few of the chapters with burpees and mountain climbers and did sliding disc jacks instead. I still got my HR way up there and salvaged my back. I then did Stretch Max Stability Ball stretch.

I am pooped today so I unless I get a second wind later, I think I need to take a rest tonight. I will do CSS tomorrow night.

Have a good one, ladies.

Michelle

Morning Wendy and Michelle!

Michelle: Nice job on your workout. Great going on the modification too! :)

Wendy: Be careful girl!!!! Enjoy your rest day today! :)

This week has been super busy with work. Sorry I have been MIA lately. I haven't been working out as planned so I didn't have too much to report.

Monday: no w/0 LONG DAY AT WORK
tues: itread #25 as a walker- PAINTED MY SONS ROOM
weds: no w/0 LONG DAY AT WORK

Today: I am doing a TM run and a really good band stretch!!! My calf is really bugging me!!! Not sure if it is from all the standing at work or just not stretching out enough after my leg workouts.

If I don't get called into work I will do some yard work. This yard needs it bad! HAHA!

Have a great workout if that is your plan or have a great rest day! :)

Good Morning Ladies. :)

Today's work out was yoga as promised but it wasn't an easy one! ;):p I decided to give Bob Harper's Yoga for the Warrior (from his Inside Out Method series) a try and WOW WOW WOW! I loved it!!!! :D I had tried a couple of the other work outs in this series when I first bought it and wasn't feeling the love so they all have been collecting dust ever since. I forgot he even made this yoga work out until I was re-organizing my dvd collection! Glad I decided to give it a try. Well worth it!

My shoulder is improving. I only had to modify very minimally during my w/o this morning to keep it comfortable. Hopefully it will be 100% soon.

Michelle:: So did you get a second wind for CSS last night? Nice modification you chose for the "unfriendly" AB moves. Thanks re my employment situation. Staying positive and keeping much busier at home then I ever did at work so that's a plus! :)

Heidi:: Enjoy your work out. Sorry work has been sucking the life outta ya. Hope it doesn't become routine.

Guess that's all for now.
BBL~

Morning Wendy and Michelle!

Today is one of those rush days again!

Wendy: Great job on the yoga workout! Glad to hear that your shoulder is doing better too. :) What's the plan for today? Make it a good one!

Michelle: How's it going and were you able to get in CSS the other night? I hope your back is better today. :)

I am feeling my legs just a tad today. I did SH legs and an interval run with a stretch yesterday. Today is going to be one of those days at work. Not sure what will get done in way of a workout.
Dishes are done and laundry is in washing. Time for a shower and out the door I go.

Have a good one!
