Starting 3 mo LIS/STS rotation Feb 12th

Hey Michelle and Wendy!

I am DONE! STS #3 legs and I skipped the bonus leg part. I have PT tonight anyway and she will have me doing some more leg work. ;)

Ok Wendy! What type of dip station routine did you do today? ;)

I did 30 front knee raises and 40 side to side knee raises(so 20 per side for obliques).

Good job with Legs today Heidi! Between that and PT you should feel GGGREAT tmrw! ;)

Ooooh that ball work out is a goody! Too bad I will probably never have time for it during this rotation. *sniff sniff*
But since I am incorporating the X into my routine I should probably try really hard to do Ab Ripper a few times...maybe this weekend???...It's been ages. I'm askeered! :eek:

I was just looking back at the original STS rotation to see where the ab w/o's were put in so I could follow it but using some other types. :)

You know me...always fiddling with the rotations! HAHA!

I have to do a quick check in, but glad to hear you both had good workouts!

Heidi - I do have some serious DOMS from Mon and Tue!

Wendy - Thanks for sharing about yourself. I would like to also share some about me, hopefully on the next post.

I decided I should just spend time with hubby tonight and not even attempt a workout. I haven't left work yet so it will be late by the time I get home. So it will be STS 18 tomorrow night after I run some errands and I think it is Afterburn on Sat.

Mine are surprisingly ok! I plan on a run instead of a cycle today so let's see how they do. ;) abs are also in the plans. I feel like I have been ignoring this.

I'm up Heidi! Not moving...but up! :p

I was in bed at 8:10 last night and rolling over to go to sleep around 8:30. I crashed so hard that I never heard DH come home from bowling around 10:30. I ALWAYS hear him!:eek: I finally woke up around 11 for about 2 mins and then passed right back out. I blew off yoga in favor of sleeping til 6am. Aaaaahhhh! Felt awesome!:) Now I'm just enjoying my coffee until 6:30 when it's time to get ready for work.

I have DOMS in my glutes and shoulders. It's not bad though...atleast not yet! It was way worse a few days ago! ;)

Michelle:: Hope you enjoyed your relaxing evening with your DH!

Heidi:: Legs aren't sore? :eek: Really!? :confused: I demand a do-over!!!!!:p

TGIF ladies! Any plans for the weekend? We are going out to dinner tonight (me, DH and DS). Tmrw I have an appt to get the damage to my car looked at in the morning (was in a fender bender a couple weeks ago) and then I hace a nail appointment while DH and DS are up at my MIL's so DH can be a good son and move furniture for them. LOL Saturday night I will cook dinner and then we will play games with DS and have a couple of drinks. Sunday we have nothing going on.

Whoops-my time's about up!

Hi Wendy and Heidi,

I am pooped out today so I will do STS 18 and a premix of Afterburn tomorrow when I have more time. I won't be scheduling my strength for Fridays any longer. I should know better as by Friday, I am spent after a long week at work.

Thanks, Heidi for sharing the article about overtraining. I was aware of this from my past intense training days and was concerned about the LIS in between STS, but read from Cathe and another poster that overtraining is not an issue because the weights used in LIS are light and more for cardio effect than strength. For now, I am going pace myself and use no weights with LIS if sore after STS until my body gets acclimated.

I am going to re-work my rotation a bit. Wendy, would you mind sharing what you are doing?

Sure I'll share my rotation, Michelle. My first week looked like this:

sat: STS D16
sun: STS D18
mon: TBTS LB
tue: CSS
wed: LIC
thu: AB
fri: rest

Basically I am doing STS on the weekends and all LIS during the week whenever possible. I was going to post wk 2 but I messed with the order of the LIS work outs a lot more because I will be OOT over this coming weekend so no w/o's for 3 days and needed to make sure I could fit it all in but usually I will want to keep them as close to their original order as possible.

Okay, P90X Chest and Back is done! I swear that is a fabulous work out! I don't care what anyone says! :p

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday! Busy day here but will get to relax tonight after Church as we are bringing home the best pizza ever and eating it while watching the latest Pirates movie! ARRRRRGGGHHH! :D

Late post for me because I had an early memorial to attend for a friend that passed away.

I did an itread run for about 3 miles and my ab w/o using s90. I tacked on another ab w/o using a gift my Sis bought me. Lol! Too funny for sure! It is called an ab rocket twister. Came with 5 w/o's too.
Have you ever seen this ad on tv? It goes back a bit I think. www.abrockettwister.com

Way to go on your workouts!!!

This will be quick as a friend is coming over - had to rearrange my rotation due to hubby's schedule so Sat is now my first day of each week. So I did STS C/S/Bis and my arms are shaking!!! Didn't have time for LIS AB, and besides that is on the agenda for Monday.

Turbo Barre LB tomorrow.

Didn't even realize till now that I will be on the same schedule as both of you!!!

Will check in with you again tomorrow.

Hello Ladies.

I tweaked my rotation this week again b/c doing MORE upper body today just wasn't happenin' for me! :p I decided to do TurboBarre Lower Body Premix as per the rotation and started off with Ab Ripper X! Just for fun! ;)

Good Morning.

My legs are tired and were squawking at me a bit during my work out this morning, Heidi! I did Athletic Training this morning. Kicks my tushy every time!:p I did it as produced but omitted the core/abs segment at the end for time and did not feeling guilty about it after doing ARX y'day! ;)
