Stargate SG-1 fans?

I've been watching SG-1 from the beginning. I really like the new season (which is over until January again).
I thought I'd miss RD Anderson a lot (I've been a fan since his McGuyver days), but Ben Browder fills his spot well. They have a similar sense of humor and style (both the characters and the actors, I think, after seeing Browder on another show). I think his character brought a bit of new life into the show (I was afraid it would mark the end of my watching the show.)
Hate to say it, but Anderson was getting a bit old for the SG-1 team role, and I wasn't fond of him sitting around the base as General. I'd rather fantasize about, I mean remember ;-) , him as he is, rather than see him aging (he's about the same age I am, but I feel the same way about me, LOL!).
Though I'm pretty sure we'll see his character a bit once in a while. I think ONEIL'S the one Carter was talking about when she said she was taken (and the reason why he left the Stargate program: so he wouldn't be her superior officer).

Hi Kathryn! Glad to find a fellow fan! I have been watching the show for years as well. I agree, Ben Browder's character is pretty good. I also agree, if that was the role O'Neill was going to have, I'd rather he left. I think you are right that he and Carter are now together. RD Anderson is a cutie but a bit old for me. I have more of a thing for Dr. Jackson
. I think the new season is good too, we'll see where they go with these new Auri (or however you spell it!). Do you watch SG Atlantis at all? I think it's ok but not nearly as good. I will be anxiously waiting for January to roll around for the rest of the season! Thanks for responding!
