Hi Kweller (apologies originally spelt your name wrong)

CTX was not my first I used to do Keli Roberts Ultimate Step tape which was what got me started and then I went onto Reebok Step & Reebok The Power (I just found that I needed more of a challenge)

I did CTX initially for 6 weeks in the order given but I think it took me all together 2 months to get it down.

I had problems with working on the "out" side of the step (Cathe divides the step into the "in" side and "out" side) because when I used Keli Roberts or Reebok (except at the end of The Power tape) Keli only used the "in" side of the step.

I also try not to rewind mainly because for me I forget what follows and I find it helps me to get on the right foot if I know what is coming next. That often helps me figure out the moves.

My little weird bit as I call it is that I have to know where I am meant to be like on Step Intervals when she scopes and your on the step facing away from the television I need to figure out where I should be so that I end up on the right foot.

Power Max I find very easy I did it once and thought great this is not that hard when I want an easy day I do that.

Hardest actually its not the workout that I find hard its the cool down for Step Fit with the marcreana (sorry I know this is the wrong spelling), I just can't do it, I have to put in another cool down tape.

What I often do though if a tape is really tricky I will concerntrate on that tape until I have basically go it down then I won't do it for a while I call it "Getting Step Memory" I find that when I go back to the tape my body seems to know what it should be doing.

Hope this helps.

I love that: "step memory" !!! That is SO what it is. Once you learn it, you know it :).
Thanks, that helps a lot! Someday soon I will conquer CTX cardio!
Say, while I gotcha here, how does Power MAx compare to say Mega Step Blast or Wedding in terms of choreography. I've heard it's intense, and I can handle intensity, but choreographically, is it slightly challenging, moderately challenging, or very challenging?
Much apperciated,
Kathy

Sorry for the delay in answering its due to the time difference. I've just gotten up we are entering a bank holiday weekend the last here before Christmas holidays.

I don't have the other vids but after doing CTX step I found Power Max's choreography moderately challenging. It gets intense but it easier to follow I find.

What I love about Step Memory is that it does matter how long since I have done a tape my feet normally know what to do its just getting my brain to let my feet get on with it.

I'm about to make a slight dent in my credit card and I am going out today to buy a DVD player so I hope to purchase DVD's of the workout I don't have on tape.

Can I add I saw your reply to susanz regarding Rhythmic step I managed to conquer that tape but I had to watched it like a dozen times, the first time I attempted it I had to stop I kept going wrong.

But 2 months ago after seeing some posts about it I decided I would do it. So after watching it I did it that night and every other night for 4 weeks. I was here there and everywhere then one Sunday I did it and wow I got it down, except the shuffle at the end of section 3 still can't get that right :-hmmm so I do my own thing.
