I bought one off of Craig's List a couple weeks ago for $100 (model BF 2864, which the Sports Authority apparently sells). It was originally $300 or something like that. I'm having a tough time using it because even at the easiest setting, I'm really having to push down on the steps to get them to the bottom. The guy who sold it to me is a personal trainer and he said he really liked using (getting rid of it due to lack of space and he works at a gym where they obviously have those). You may want to try one out before you buy, to make sure you like it.

If you live near a city with a Craig's List, here's the website:

Thanks Luna. i used to do it at the gym everynight, so i know i like them. easy on the knees.

I was very lucky. I bought a Precor stairmaster on Ebay for about 170 dollars. It is an older model but works perfectly fine. It's worth looking for one there. My elliptical is from www.nordictrack.com and I like that also a lot. They also have a stairmaster if I'm not mistaken. Good luck to you, Mari

God, that is one piece of equipment that I am HORRIBLE at using! LOL I have joined 3 or 4 different gyms over the years and I tried to use this type of machine every time and every time my legs nearly fell off after 5 minutes on an EASY setting! I don't know how people use them! Good for you, Jes!!! :7

Have a great work out!
