stability ball

Cathlete
Hi, all! It's Callie, again.

One more question for you: My stability ball came with its own hand-pump; however, it takes 30-45 minutes to inflate the dang thing that way. (Probably an exaggeration, but not by much.) Was wondering if a basketball pump would work? The tire pump at the gas-station? :)
(Cathe's Pyramid vids. arrive today...)

Thanks and have a great day.

Deborah--

This is going to sound bizarre, but do you think a vacuum would work? (Or maybe I'm thinking of the Aerobed.) One more question: do you keep yours inflated? It's such a pain to inflate it, but where to keep it once it is inflated...

Oh, well. Take care!

I just think of it as an added upper-body workout (just remember to change sides from time to time!)

As for storage, I just toss mine in the corner, by my sofa. There's a storage trunk there that they (I have two!) "sort of" stay on. You can also buy plastic "rings" that the balls sit on so they don't roll. You can even stack multiple balls that way (I think I need a couple of these!).

I don't know if a vacuum would work or not. I'm thinking not. But what Kathryn said is true, great upper body workout. Remember to change sides--LOL, I thought my arms would fall off pumping that thing!

I also just toss mine in the corner.

Hi Callie!

(LOVE your name!) Here is the pump I have. I got mine from Fitness Wholesale. It works great. I don't deflate mine every time though. Our balls seem to lose air a lot though due to our wokout room being cool. This pump works 100% better then the old bicycle type we used before. Here is a link. They did have one on the discount table last time I was there. I can check for you & see if it is still available??? Just let me know. http://www.fwonline.com/fbqap.htm

Awesome ideas, Debbie and Runathon--

Will check out the website and the risers as stands, too.

Can't wait to try out the Pyramid workouts--in fact, I'm (impatiently) waiting for the UPS man as we speak. How do you like them? Some of the other posts have said that they're sooo different from Cathe's usual workouts, do you agree?

Well, gotta go, but take care!

P.S. Thanks about my name, too. :D

Go easy on the UPS man! Don't attack him! :7 I LOVE the Pyramids, both Upper & Lower! Lots of weight changes but it is fun to do something sooo different! Have FUN and let us know what you think. (LOOKOUT for the PUB ball work! YOWSA!)

Debbie--

Thanks for the heads-up re PUB; I'm looking for a YOWSA-workout! (Though maybe the UPS man will appreciate that I haven't quite taken it to that level, yet.:D)

P.S. Will let you know how they go.

Callie, that is what I like about Cathe's workouts, i.e., Pyramids....they are intense AND different...like slow and heavy, power hour.. etc. If they were all the same, we wouldn't like them as much!!!! ;)

Blessings from our home to yours...Runathon

I don't have any yet,but I've seen them. I can't remember which catalog they were in, though: power-systems.com? fitter1.com? One of those, I think.
