Squirrel

Squirrel is actually pretty good. If I remember correctly it tastes similar to chicken. I haven't ate it since I was a child. My family grew up on a farm in BFE and had very little money. My dad would go squirrel, rabbit, and deer hunting to feed our large family.

The first time he brought it in it was in a crock pot with some kind of gravy on it. We ended up feeding it to the stray cats that run around out back.

Yikes! Me, too! They are pesky, but are so cute . . . how could you eat them??

I guess I would eat it if I had to. Like my mom used to say, don't knock it until you've tried it! LOL

HA! Liann, AMAZING!
I'm on the lookout for this little guy--he could probably kick MY butt!
He's just so darn cute, though!

OMG Liann that is so cute! It's probably a domesticated squirrel. But IMO it's still just as cruel as putting your dog in a Halloween costume. :+

Kim, your boss's last name isn't Clampett by any chance? ;-)

I've eaten it before at a game supper, it's pretty good if prepared right.

We actually eat a fair amount of wild game. It's all organic AND free range. :)

I don't get why this grosses people out so much, yet they think nothing of eating lamb or calf or chickens or any other animal. We think it's horrible that other cultures eat dogs and cats, but we eat animals that are forbidden in theirs.

I don't eat meat, but, I have to agree with what Gayle said. At least wild animals get to live the life they were meant to lead and are free of hormones and chemicals, unlike most of the animals that make up the meat in the majority of most people's diets.
