What has everyone got planned for the weekend?

We are doing cleanMAX in our house this morning, and I will go for a run later today once it warms up a bit.

Has anyone looked at Wal-Mart's Black Friday ad? There is a TON of stuff that I want and some really good deals! Chris and I are always part of the crazy crowd that is out at 430 or 5 am anyway!

Morning ladies

katie i will be out during black friday . Penneys is having a crazy sale too...Like 70% off gold jewery.

Next week workouts will be short and sweet. They have me working long hours. Going out today to buy a small turkey mac and cheese string beans etc. I am only cooking for the 3 of us so i dont want alot of left overs.

W.O. Goddess kbell oxygen core
christm parade is going to start soon and my lazy teens are still sleeping

Good Morning Everyone!

I am so happy it is the weekend. I have 2 days off, work 2 days, then 5 days off. I need it. The offer I received is good so I am going to accept it. I did not receive the written offer until late yesterday so I will have to wait until Monday to give my 2 weeks notice. I really wanted to get that out of the way before the weekend but oh well. I start 12/7. I really wanted to take a week off but I have already had a week off unpaid and with the holidays and everything I don't want to be broke.

Today I have errands, bills, and watch the PSU/MSU game. I have to be nice because Klaudia is an MSU fan but I hope PSU wins.

Angie, I must be the only person who likes leg presses. Sorry about Ellie's mole.
Nina, sounds like you had a nice day yesterday. Did you end up making Mahi Mahi for dinner?
Klaudia, how did game night go?
Kate, I understand about not being motivated for low impact. Congrats to Isabel on being such a good student.
Katie, I haven't looked at black Friday ads yet. I won't be able to go out this year since we are going to NY on Friday.
Robin, I always hated the holidays in retail. I hope you can make it through.

Morning, Glories!

Awful night's sleep for me but somehow I'm in a good mood anyway! WIsh I liked coffee!:p I was up w/ Julia from 11-2:30!!!! She is turning into an awful sleeper but there's no sense trying to fix it before we go to CO.

Swim class this morning and church Sunday AM. Other than that no plans! YEEHAW! MIke is working so I am doing swim class solo but Julia's sleeping in after her long night so we shuld be all good!

Scale is DOWN so maybe that's part of my good mood!?

Katie, I cleanmaxed last night so I wouldnt have to today. The cluter drives me nuts. I'm getting itchy to do this addition but still trying to figure out if its the smartest thing or not.
Havent seen Wally's ad....

Robin, Not doing Tgiving w/ all the fam????
Have a great WO! SOrry for the busy days ahed!

Colleen, CONGRATUALTIONS!!!!! That is fantastic news! What kind of hours will you be looking at? You must be so exicted!

Fusion Enchiladas Recipe from Clean Eating Magazine:

Refried Edamame:
1/2 small onion diced
2 cloves garlic smashed
1 cup frozen shelled edamame
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp fresh lime juice
Sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste

Beef Filling:
1 1/2 tsp olive oil, divided
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin, ground
8 oz. sirloin beef, thinly sliced
1 cup corn kernels (thawed if frozen)
1 medium red bell pepper, finely diced
2 cups baby spinach
1 1/2 cups low sodium tomato sauce
Sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
8 small whole wheat tortillas
1/2 cup low-fat mozzarella cheese, shredded

1) Preheat oven to 425 F
2) Prepare refried edamame: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil over high heat. Add onion, garlic, and edamame, bring back to a boil and cook for 4 minutes. Drain onion-bean mixture, reserving 1/4 cup cooking liquid. Pour bean mixture and reserved cooking liquid into a food processor and add cumin, chili powder, and lime juice. Puree until almost smooth and season with salt and pepper. Scrape into a bowl and set aside.
3) Prepare beef filling: In a small bowl, combine 1/2 tsp oil, garlic and cumin. Add beef and mix well to season.
4) In a nonstick saute pan, heat remaining 1 tsp oil over medium-high heat. Add beef and saute for about 1 minute, until lightly browned. Add corn, red pepper and spinach, and mix well to combine. Add 1/4 cup tomato sauce and cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through. Season with salt and pepper and remove from heat.
5) Spread 1/2 cup remaining tomato sauce over the bottom of a 9 X 13 inch baking dish and set aside.
6) Spread tortillas out in a single layer on a flat work surface. Scoop 2 to 3 tbsp edamame filling and spread in the center of each tortilla. Top with 2 to 3 tbsp of beef mixture and roll tightly. Place enchiladas seam side down on top of tomato sauce in baking dish. Cover with remaining tomato sauce, top with cheese, and place dish in oven. Bake enchiladas until hot throughout and cheese is melted about 8 minutes.

hi guys, sorry no show yesterday. dh had a big test for work at a base closer to our house and wanted us to come with and do some shopping. bah humbug, it was not a great day. JJ peed on himself when i was changing him and we left in such a rush i forgot to put achange of clothes in the bag. ALSO forgot my military ID so when i went to buy him a shirt at the BX they wouldnt sell it to me. He literally had no shirt or onesie under his jacket for3 hrs while we waited for dh to get out of his testing. no wo (lots of walking around there but no wo), terrible eating. dh doesnt understand how the lack of planning affects my regimen or how the lack of routine affects JJ. love him but he is clueless sometimes!!

TODAY IS A NEW DAY!!!!! MUST RE-SET!!!! but a major challenge ahead of me, early thxgiving dinner party with friends tonight.

my plan is:
b - grk yog, bl berries, almonds, coffee
10:30 kb class
straight home to roast veggies and bake for the party tonight. hoping and praying i can eat DECENTLY while there...my plan is to fill my plate with turkey, salad and veggies, no starches (there are like 60 ppl bringing stuff, should be plenty). ifican avoid mashed pot and the like, i will be happy with myself. any other tips PLEASE SHARE... need all the help i can get.
lunch at home will be steak and spinach salad

i will go back and read yesterday and try to get back for personals while stuff is in the oven a little later.

have a great saturday, ladies!

Thanks, Colleen!

Wendy, OH BUMMER! So sorry abt the hard day.
Eats - sounds like you have a good plan already. I'm sue there'll be lots of yummy naughty things to partake in - just pick what you REALLY want and forgo the rest. Me, I can easily talk myself out of boxmix stuff - brownies and those nasty refrig cookie dough things. Blech! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Hope your class is good today! Get those endorphins and power thru!

-
Breakfast was good. We're low on some things so Cheerios and banana. I managed to avoid the cin-sugar donuts Mike brought home! YAY!

Happy Saturday!

I am soo tired today-maybe it's because I stayed up til 5 am reading? I finished my book and can't wait for the next one although it's going to be a long wait-like 3 years:( Now I need to hurry up and workout cause we're heading up to the MSU/PSU game to tailgate, watch the game, and have dinner. Hope I survive! Good thing my workout is short-PS BBA.

Katie, I think Darrin had a look at the Wal-Mart ads. But if he wants something he can go out-I hate shopping and hate it even more on Black Friday!

Robin, avoiding the family drama this year? Good for you! I need to place our dinner order before I forget and we have no Thanksgiving turkey!

Colleen, congrats!! Although I hope you don't continue the celebration with a Penn State win!;) Game night was sort of a bust-Danica's friend stayed later than expected so it threw everything off, but it was fun, too. We played Scrabble Jr.:)

Kate, sorry about the bad night-I feel your pain! Enjoy your quiet weekend. And yay to the scale!

Wendy, sorry about your rough day. I can't believe they wouldn't sell you a shirt! That's ridiculous. Why else would you be on base? We live right by an air national guard base, but I've never been inside the gates. Something similar happened to us when Milla was potty training. We had gone to a baseball game and parked at the private club my fil belonged to-Milla had to go, but the doorman wouldn't let her cause she was wearing jeans! She was 2 1/2! But it was ok for members to come out in their sweaty workout clothes-stupid rules! Today will be a great day!

Hey girls, quick check in! Annabel's birthday party with her friends was this morning and then our friends from Belgium came back to our house (with KFC... ugh). So, I'm off to burn those calories. Ryan's got the girls and is going to the grocery store - have I mentioned I love my husband?!?!

SO, time to take advantage of them being gone.

BBL!

lucky duck, angie! enjoy !!

colleen, congrats.

akte, yea for scale!

katie, have fun shoppping - never will catch me out on black friday.

hi wendy - great plan for tonight. sorry about yday - i have had those days too.

trying to get readjusted here. i had a fun morning at the park with the kids. now i am geting ready to clean max. i am kind of down - part of it is my weight is wayyyy up. at the begininning of the week i was right where i wanted to be. what is up with that? i am discouraged, so i am going to wo hard, eatclean, and ignore the scale for a few days. and try to be less grumpy. eats are clean. back in a bit

Holy marathon workout!

Did 10-10-10 (just cardio) from CTX, leaner legs and abs, and then just step from SJP! I'm beat but wanted to take advantage of all the time Ryan was gone and pay my penance for KFC.

Katie, have fun with clean max and black friday dreaming! It's not even in my head. I'm almost done Christmas shopping but then again, I'm doing very little this year!

Robin, sorry you missed the parade. You're not doing t-giving with your family?

Colleen, congrats on the job! That's so exciting! And to be honest, I don't mind leg presses - it's my favorite leg work but that's not much when you understand how much I hate leg work!

Kate, nice quiet weekend sounds fabulous! What's the concern with the addition? I'm already drooling over your potential kitchen!

Wendy, sorry about the crazy day yesterday. I don't have many tips for t-giving. I'm going to eat what I want but just not on overload. It only happens once a year!

Klaudia, I can't believe you stayed up so late reading. I would do something like that and then be miserable for the rest of the day. I hope you have fun at the game!

Nina, sorry about the stupid scale. You know there are so many things that can affect it. Do you notice a change in the way you look when the scale is up? As fit as you are, I can't imagine you see a huge change. Don't let it ruin your day!

Ok, I need to shower and then spend some time with Ryan. See y'all tomorrow!

Klaudia, 5AM?!?!?!!? DANG!
Get your WO and enjoy your game!

Angie, Marathon WO, fo' sho'! You go, girl!
You have a very sweet hub!
The addition concern - need to be sure staying here is our long-term plan. As much as we're adding on we would need to stay here a long time to make it worthwhile. We always talked abt finding acreage and building again.... we would still do that but it would be delayed a loooong time. We wouldn't be able to sell our house for a good price the way the housing market is in Mich right now. Our mortgage would go up abt $700-800/month and we *can* afford it but not sure of we *want* to. We'd have to be more careful with our spending and I'm not sure I want to. Mike CANNOT live by a budget - if he wants it he buys it, end of story. It's a bit frustrating at times but I knew it when I married him. So, we need to really pray about it and see what we should do.

-
Eats are on, and I did my CS for the day. Hoping for weights later. Mike's been working all day so far so he def owes me some time!:)

Peace!

kate, i like your logic, but my dh says if he is working, he needs a break - go figure:p

angie, great wo!! i am not sure if i look different, but i feel different. anyways, i won't whine about it, i will just have to change my behavior.

klaudia, glad your book was good. enjoy the game!!

clean max done, now i am organizing myself. dh and i are going out tonight - dinner will be clean and tidy - i am just looking forward to the company!

Nina, Have a great date night! We are so long overdue!

-
Eats squeaked all day! I want to bake but I'm resisting! I have a huge bag of apples and I wanna make pie!!!!! ARGH!!! :p:p:p:p

Morning girls, we are decorating our tree today and I'm so excited! I love Christmas! (no ba-humbug Klaudia!)

Just finished step blast - I LOVE that workout. I feel like it is one of the few where I love every combo and the blasts are good but not ridiculous (until the end) and I get a great sweat and calorie burn out of it.

Ryan is making Annabel a cake (girl has had like a month long birthday celebration) and it smells phenomenal. 2 bites is my limit. Scale was up this morning - I'm sure it's due to KFC but a little bit of water weight too.

Nina, how was date night? I hope you had a great time.

Kate, I understand your addition woes. Money is such a strange thing.

OK, off to make lunch for the fam, shower, do the tree, and watch UP and eat cake!

Have a great Sunday!

Morning ladies! I feel like a sloth - no run yesterday, the day just got away from me. We stayed out late and Collin was a total terror yesterday - no nap, bouncing off the walls, up until 11 pm. We decided to let him sleep in instead of trying to wake him for church. He has basketball in the middle of the day, so a nap is unlikely for him, so we thought letting him sleep was the best bet.

Once Collin wakes up, we will do grocery shopping and other errands, more cleaning, basketball around mid-day, and then I will go for my run around sunset. Not sure about dinner but I will either put something in the crock pot or put Chris in charge.

Our Christmas tree is up but we will wait awhile before putting ornaments on. We just figured that while we were cleaning we might as well put it up.

I am frustrated with my weight and I miss running and I don't know what to do. I would really love to find the time to run in the mornings and lift in the evenings. Something to think about...

"See" you all later!

good morning!! date night was such fun. we took a walk and had a nice simple dinner. soup and salad for me, pizza for dh. we shared a hummus app. this am i managed 16 miles and gs bsb. dh is at grocery now, and then i am going out to meet my mom - wish me luck!

angie, how cool dh is making the cake. do you bake?

katie, sorry for the glum feeling. why can you not run 3 days a week and lift 3 in the mornings? also, a wo i love is running on the tm with weights, circuit fashion. run 5-10 min, do 1 round of endurance weights, repeat as often as you like!!! so cool you got your tree up. we will celebrate christmas a little early this year, before dh leaves, then again on christmas. did you make cookies the other night? i need to make some this week to take to thanksgiving dinner.

bbiab

Tree is up and Ryan's working out and I'm going to go fold some laundry.

Katie, sorry about your weight issues. I think that Nina's 5-10 min on the tm and then endurance work might be a good way to keep up your running yet shock your body a bit with some endurance training. Yay for decorating!

Nina, glad you had such a nice time with dh last night. Good luck with your mom and way to go with your WO! 16 miles outside? How long does that take you?

BBL!

Morning! Yesterday was soo long-went to bed at around 2 am and I'm beat today. Never worked out:( But I ended up walking all over the MSU campus-in my high heeled boots-my calves are fried! We had a lot of fun! Got free tix to the game (good thing they were free cause we lost), and had too many goodies-pudding shots, 2 beers, a mushroom burger with Swiss and fries:eek: Today is more dance and hopefully my missed workout.

Angie, don't worry I'm too tired to be "bah, humbug" today;) Have fun!

Katie, busy day! Hope Collin is better for you today. Have you stopped running? Are you doing a rotation? I forgot.

Nina, how was date night?

Hi Everyone!

Never got my errands done yesterday so I will have to do them today. I started my workout late (3 mile run followed by PC Insanity - I skipped the push up jacks at the end - I was too tired). Then I had lunch and I was reading an article and couldn't keep my eyes open so I ended up taking a long nap. Woke up in time to see PSU beat MSU. Today I will try to do my errands and figure out what to make for Thanksgiving. My options are an appetizer, corn pudding, cranberry sauce or pumpkin bars.

Kate, I completely understand about the addition. It is a huge commitment and no one knows what the future will bring. Not sure on the hours for my new job yet but I think it will be more when we are busy and less when we are not. It doesn't seem like everyone there works crazy hours.
Klaudia, I can't believe how small MSU's stadium is. Glad you had a good time despite the big loss.
Katie, I think you are crazy for putting your tree up so early. I don't really catch the holiday spirit until about 2 weeks before Christmas - sometimes even later if I am really stressed.
Nina, glad you had a nice date night. Good idea! I hope everything goes well with your mom today.
Angie, I usually pick the skin off the chicken when I have KFC. I can only eat a little bit before my stomach gets upset. Great workout!
Wendy, how did the Thanksgiving dinner with your friends go? Did you find enough veggies?
