Most definitely!
I had to laugh when I visited a particular grocery store for the first time. I look for foods that are natural, organic if possible, and I was starting to notice that, while they did have them, they were all "behind the posts" in the various sections of the store. When I got to the p.b. aisle, I decided to see if my "healthy stuff is hidden behind the posts, because people interested in eathing healthy will go out of their way to look for it' theory was valid. There, behind the post, was the natural (the REAL natural, not that new Skippy crap) peanut butter! Laughable, but also a bit sad!
And isn't it funny how when a product remains the same, but the box or label changes, it suddenly looks tastier? I've been attracted to containers of orange juice that looked very temptingly delicious---withh the lable "NEW look...same great taste" on it!" (with the 'new" in big print).
And Shelley, advertisers definitely know how to push our buttons (even buttons we don't have!)! I find if I watch too many ads, I start wanting something...even if it's something I don't REALLY want! (late night is especially bad! Somehow, when one is sleepy, those crappy exercise devices look very tempting!)
