Good morning ladies, I hope you guys get to check in today. I'm up bright and early after a night of drinking. Enjoyed it though.:) Was able to do Step Blast at 6 a.m. and will hopefully be lifting heavy this afternoon. In the meantime, I want a pot of coffee to start me off. I'll check back later. Have a great day, everyone.:7

Good Morning to you, Pinky! After a night of drinking and then up bright and early to exercise-WOW. I dragged myself out of my cozy bed to do BootCamp this am. Later, I plan to do my favorite tape-Circuit Max. Have a great Memorial day.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend.

I've been taking it easy at home, doing lots of chores around the house in pre-preparation for my trip in 8 days!!!!! I've been pretty good about eating and yet today have this tremendous urge for hot dogs! I may cave and buy some along with some other traditional bbq foods that aren't that great for you, but sure taste good.

Had a great past few days. On Saturday conquered Christi's Step Heaven (and had a blast doing it). On Sunday did Eoin Finn's PY4H Daily Dose of Bliss. This morning did Timesaver #1 (hey Shywolf, remember when we were doing the Timesavers together?!) and tacked on Power Circuit Planks and abs. I think this whole week will be Timesaver workouts, a circuit workout, and some more yoga.

Welcome, Suzanne! Hope to learn more about you in the future. One thing I have already gleened is that you are one tough woman if Circuit Max is one of your favorite workouts (I confess, I like it too, but MAN! is it tough).

Have a great day everyone!

Hey, everyone! Happy Memorial Day! I'm back in the world of the exercising, although I'm taking it easy this week. Saturday, I did Scott Cole's Millenium Stretch, and yesterday I did a Janis Saffell/Scott Cole workout called Yin/Yang, which alternates Tai Chi and Kickboxing. I also did the ab work off the new beginning step DVD of Cathe's. It was great ab work with a stability ball. No pikes or roll-ins, but my abs feel well worked today. I'm not sure about today yet, in terms of what I want to do. I might do Cathe's new beginning step workout, and maybe some light upper body work, or maybe some Pilates. I feel like I can do Pilates better later in the day. I don't want to push myself too hard yet, but I do want to get back to working out.

Welcome, Suzanne! Hi Pinky, Sabine, Shywolf, Judy, Brenda, Kim, CinDee, Susan, Joy, Lorihart, and everyone else that I'm sure I'm leaving out.

Have a great day!

HI Everyone,
Sounds like everyone is off to a great start.I did PUB earlier and in a couple of hours I am going to run while watching Dr.Phil (I think).
I am impressed with Pinky. I went out Saturday night, I only had 1 1/2 drinks but I didn't get up until 10:30 yesterday morning.I really needed the rest.I am also feeling a little lazy now to.
I think I am going to start doing some pilates. Hopefully it will make me more flexable!
Anyway, I will check back later,
Lori

Hi Guys,
It seems May was not much in the workout department for me due to all the stuff going on here. I'm taking today off as the hubby is home from work and we really don't spend enough time cuddling on the couch ;)

I plan on starting the month of June with my all time favorite IMAX 2 or even the intense premix on this dvd.

I need to not take anymore rest days as I'm due to have surgery within this month or July not sure yet as i need to see the surgeon and I'm not sure how this will affect my workout routine. So I'm gonna work to compensate for the days I'll be recuperating.

So who in this checkin has those 3 new dvd's? I never did preorder but I'm curious about them esp the advanced one seems like a doosie}(

Hi, everyone again! I thought that I would introduce myself since I am new to the Forum. I have been working out with Cathe tapes for about 2.5 years now. I had back surgery 3 years ago and I am enjoying being able to exercise again, I forgot how much fun it is. I started out with her easier step tapes and gradually moved into her circuit and strength training videos. I absolutely love her tapes. I enjoy waking up in the am thinking about which two tapes I will do today. I havent been this pain free in 15 years and I sleep better than ever now, thanks to Cathe (and surgery). I work in a laboratory doing research, and since I have no gym to go to around where I live I use Cathe's tapes at work. My boss likes this because I get more work done since I am here longer than 8 hours. A little odd arrangement but it works for everyone.

Off to have a family Memorial Day dinner,
great to meet everyone,

Hi again ladies,

Nice to hear about your weekend.

Suzanne, welcome to the forum and this thread. I'm glad to know that Cathe's workouts have helped you get fit again after your surgery. The thing I like about Cathe's workouts, especially strength training, is that they are versatile. If your fitness level goes down a bit, you can always work up to what she's doing. And if you're lifting heavier or working harder than she is, even better.:)

Sabine, I'm getting excited for you! Even if you have a hotdog (or two) I know you'll look great in a bikini on one of those white sand Hawaiian beaches. I am getting homesick thinking of the sea.

Lisa, I'm glad to know you're feeling better and slowly getting back to working out. I hope Michael's better as well.

Lori, don't be too impressed. It's just that alcohol makes me doze off, but only for a few hours. My sleep is actually not as deep when I have drunk alcohol than when I'm "sober":) but then again, sleeping well has always been a challenge for me.

ShyWolf, you're gonna have surgery? Goodness... is it okay to ask why? I caved in this weekend and ordered those new DVD's. I figure that with my bad knees, I can use easier step routines. That advanced workout's got me scared though.:)

I got a free hour this afternoon and did PS chest and back only. Could've been last night's alcohol and this morning's cardio, but I didn't do too well. There were sets when I had to lower.

Hope you all had a great long weekend. See you guys tomorrow.
