Spring into Summer - 6/30

Hello everyone,

With summer here and my routine not being as structured as during the school year I've found that I've been flaky about checking in. I was in a wedding this past weekend (more on that later) and have been scrambling like mad to get things done at home being it was another weekend away. Also, since my trip and having all these events taking place, I've been really tired. So some of my time has been devoted to extra rest to try to get on top of my game again so to speak.

The wedding this past weekend was for one of my best friends and I was a bridesmaid. I was originally kind of dreading the whole thing seeing as how my love life over the past 16 months went into a tail spin. Well, it turned out to be really fun and I'm glad I was a part of that. I just let loose and had a blast (and maybe a bit more wine than I usually would:p ). The groom's younger brother and I really hit it off and I am disappointed only because the man lives in London!!! It was nice to get some positive attention and to have a handsome man find me attractive and want to spend time with me.

Okay, as for workouts. Here's what's been happening.
Last week
Monday- Tone It Up (from SS)
Tuesday- Reebok Rhythmic Power
Wednesday- Firm It Up (from SS)
Thursday- Tamilee Webb Total Stretch for Beginners
Friday- CIA 2202 All Out Step w/ Step Heat abs tacked on
Saturday- Wedding (lots of dancing, standing, sitting, lifting wine, etc.)
Sunday- REST

This week
Monday- Eoin Finn's PY4H Magically Hips
Tuesday- Christi's Solid Gold Step plus abs
Wednesday- Pyramid Upper Body. Haven't used heavy weights in almost 3 weeks. Upper body feels fried!!!

Hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying the summer so far!!!

I've hardly checked in, either...the past 10 days or so have been non-stop. This week is still busy with birthdays and the Fourth, but I will definately have more time for Cathe and biking than I did last week!

Well, I worked out last night, but the time before that was a week ago Tuesday! Needless to say my endorphin tank was really low. I felt fabulous after working out last night!!! KPC/L&G premix + abs was just right...my legs feel it this morning, but I'm gonna use them again with some hills on the bike tonight. "No time for downtime!" The Seattle to Portland (STP) is 3 weeks away, so the next 3 weeks will be very little Cathe and a lot of my bike. It's not a race, but it is a lot of milage but I'm starting to feel confident...I know I can do it, but I want to do well for myself.

I think I'll lift for upper body this a.m. or afternoon before biking, but I'm not sure what. Perhaps the premix off of HSTA.

Hellos to everyone!. Checking in later...

I'm glad I'm not the only one that is feeling a little like a slacker. I skipped yesterday, due to watching a cousin, and wasn't home. So, this morning I was feeling pretty good so I set out early for my walk/jog that i have been doing. I went quite a bit further this time. It took me almost an hour. And this morning was a hot one, it was around 80 by 9:30, unlike last week where I hardly broke a sweat, I was dripping with sweat by the time I got home. So, I'm feeling pretty good today. I really need to hit the weights though, I only did PP last week, so I need to get back at it this week and do some more heavier lifting. Not sure what yet, but either MIS, or Pyramid up, for the upper and lower body is what I'm thinking.
So, are you all psyched for Cathes new series?! I seriously thought I was seeing things when I went to check out of boredom the otherday.
WEll, I hope you all have a great day!

Kathy

Hey everyone,

I'm glad to see you guys today. I started the thread yesterday, but no one else ever replied! I know how it is though, I've been checking in more the past week or so, but before that there were several weeks that I didn't check in regularly.

Sabine, I'm glad you had a good time at the wedding. Too bad about the cute guy from London, although, you never know. Maybe he won't be able to get you out of his head...Anyway, you're doing well with your workouts, I think with all that's been going on. I still have to start incorporating SS. I think that starting next week, I may try doing a SS rotation, or maybe SS with some extra cardio on alternating days. Also, for the days when Cool it off is called for, maybe I can get in some more yoga instead (I've been wanting to do more yoga). I'm also intrigued by the posts I've seen here and at VF regarding a Boot Camp only rotation. I might try that, with yoga or pilates on the "off" days, later in the summer after SS.

CinDee,good luck on your upcoming ride! It sounds fantastic. I know you must be in great shape to be doing that. I love that upper body premix from HSTA. It's only 21 minutes, but I think that's about the toughest endurance workout, IMHO, that Cathe has yet.

I did Lotte Berk Muscle Eats Fat and the bonus w/o from Basic Essentials (just the leg work from both), High Round Assets, and Hip Hugger Abs last night. Then I did Janis Saffell's Hardcore Kickbox Circuit this morning with the Aikido Abs bonus workout. My legs were pretty beat after that, between the legs work in the LB's and the leg work in Janis' DVD. It's all unweighted, and even though Janis' leg work isn't that tough, doing the two so close together seemed to be pushing it. I'll probably do the same Lotte Berks tomorrow, although I'm considering Firm it Up from SS. Then, it's off to Ocean City Friday-Monday.

I hope everyone's doing well. If for some reason I don't check in tomorrow, I hope everyone has a fun and safe Fourth of July!

Hello work-out friends. I see not very many of us have cheked in often, myself indcluded. In the summer I tend to limit my computer time, so I will be around infrequently. Rest assured that I will keep up with good workout ethic and attempt healthy habits. Hopefully everyone is in a similar mode.

This week so far has been:
Sunday- off family day
Monday- PP upper body blast (premix where the upper body exercises are done 2X) and Tennis
Tuesday- golf 18 holes no time to work out after famliy dinner, driving kids etc..
Wednesday- L&G Extreme... wow, my first time
Thursday- cardio choice
Friday- circuit workout...BC or C-max
Saturday- ?

PS Brenda- haven't heard from you lately are you lurking? still wearing the Bikini?

Hi All;
Well just got back this afternoon from my surgeon and all is well, things will be 100 % in about 6 months as that is what he said is the healing process but I think I will heal 100% sooner hehehe. I've been given back my freedom so now I think I will start with some yoga type strtching and start my way slowly again. And if I feel I can go all out well ya know me I will.
