I thought it would be Kathryn, but I'm OK with Chris being gone. He, IMO, has not shown a lot of personality throughout the competition, and did not prove to be very versitile (hope I spelled that right). He did not evolve much, nothing like Elliott did.
I'll be happy if the top 2 are Elliott and Taylor, and will be OK with either winning, although I think it's been Taylor contest from the beginning.
The Idols tour starts in July, and I'd really be interested in going.

I am HORRIFIED that Chris got voted off! Went to bed mad!!!!!!!!! Cannot believe it!!!!! Sorry, disagree with you, Honeybunch. I don't care who wins now. I do think Chris will still come out a winner though and sell many albums. I think he will be like Clay Aiken who didn't win either, but look at how popular Clay is now.

I agree with Charlotte, I was madx( x( that Chris was voted off. Thought that Kathyrn should go! She always seems suprised, and shocked when she is in the bottom, and never claps for the top group. Chris was shocked that he was voted off, but when the groups were revealed, he clapped for the top group! He will go far! I am glad Elliot is still there!

Another mad one here!! I think Chris has TONS of personality and is an awesome, awesome rocker. I am tired of people like Kat & I would still like to see her go. Actually, I would love to see Elliot win it all - he's really pulling this competition big time. However, a part of me thinks Taylor and his fan club are gonna throw it. Does anyone else think this becomes more of a popularity contest and less about who truly deserves to win? Grrrr.

Totally shocked too! So was HE when they announced his name! I know I go against popular vote but I, too, want either Taylor or Elliot to win it all. I guess maybe it is partly because I like their personalities but I also think they can sing too. All four finalists sang great IMO. Oh boy, it is going to be very interesting this next two weeks.

I must agree that Chris will do just fine even if he didn't win. We all have different tastes, so none of us has to agree on who is the best.

A sad evening in my house....Chris was my favorite! His genre of music is what I actually listen to and buy. Like an earlier poster said, he will go far, the exposure he has gotten will take him where he wants to go. I knew these final weeks were going to be tough, because I liked the final 10 or so contestants. My dd is a diehard Taylor fan, he has been her favorite from the beginning, and I have a special spot for Elliott, since he is from Richmon(we lived in VA for a long time). Either one to win is cool with me.....just not the Kat.....far too full of herself for my tastes!!

I can't believe it either. I thought Chris was a sure thing. You could tell by his face he was shocked too. My dh said he won't watch the show anymore. I couldn't believe he said that. He was that mad. I asked him if he voted. ;-)
Chris will do just fine. Look at Bo Bice he had a CD produced by Clive Davis himself.
I'm going for Elliot now. He has improved the most.

I was first surprised that Taylor was in the top 2, though glad that Elliott was, because his two performances this week were great. But to boot Chris instead of Katherine? And for Ryan to announce it so bluntly because time was almost up ("Chris, there's been a lot of talk of you being the next American, Idol. Chris, you are going home."!) What was up with that?
I think it would have been a much more interesting top 3 if Chris were still there. But I have no doubt that he will have a very sucessful career, and maybe more freedom to do what he wants to do.

At this stage of the game, they really have to compete for the top spot. I was disappointed mostly by Chris on his 2 performances and I really like the rocker! Kat was also a disappointment to me. I did believe that Elliott and Taylor did the Elvis' songs better and deserved to be in the top 2.
I am certain that Chris will produce a rocking cd regardless and we will buy it!

I know you don't care for Chris, but he has kicked butt on every show. He has risen to every genre that he has had to sing. He has had to step out of his comfort zone for this stupid show with very much success. That is versatility.

Sorry I was shouting, but I am upset. Chris was awesome. I feel bad for him. But now he will be on all the talk shows. Hopefully, he will be on tour soon.
I have a feeling the winner will fall off the face of the earth just like Ruben and Fantasia.

I didn't like his performances this week, but I did really think Chris was going to win. My SO was really pissed and said he is not watching any longer, lol. I felt really bad for him, particularly doing worse than Katherine, who has not done well at ALL. She must have some major fan base. Anyway, I do think he is going to be really successful and he might be better off. So few of the winners actually translate into musical successes. I've heard that's because the producer of the show isn't that great. Hopefully he will rise above.
