I just recently starting doing spinning DVDs. My goal is to have bike fitness when spring comes. I bought a mountain bike last summer and only rode it a couple times. I had a huge dread factor about it. I live at high altitude (about 9,300') and mostly have mountains dirt roads (lots of steep uphills) to ride on. I could take the bike down to lower altitude, but never did. I would ride more, if I could start just out from my house, if I was in shape for it.
Question: How did the fitness gained from spinning DVDs transfer to outdoor riding for anyone has tried that? I am mixing up the type of training I am doing indoors.
