Spinervals=BRUTAL!

I just finished half of the "Have Mercy" Spinerval. That's all I could do! And I modified! This will definately be the spring fitness goal: to finish this DVD. I'm spent. My throat feels like dirt from huffing and puffing for an hour. But I've gotta get more of these! Obviously my bod isn't used to it and it'll be a great cross-training tool. Anyone have suggestions for me? Form? Technique? Tips on how to get better at these workouts? Favorite spinning workouts? I'd appreciate it all.

CinDee,
I LOVE the spinerval workouts! There is no other workout in my opinion that makes me feel so totally WORKED OUT! I have 5 of the workouts and only two of them can i completely finish.
I'm trying to work up to the totally time trial workout. I did it the other day and couldn't even make it thru half of the workout (its 90 minutes total). I usually consider myself high intermediate to advance.
All i can offer up is to keep working on them, probably once to twice a week. At least that's what i'm doing!:7

Yep. I figured twice a week if I want to conquer this workout. I'll probably pick up some of the shorter ones and a beginner one for some sense of accomplishment until I can finish this 2 hour monster! DH tried it after I did and made it through about 35-45 minutes. We'll be working on it! It feels so different cardio-wise from anything else I've ever done, and my legs just don't keep up yet. Well, having goals is good!

What on earth are you talking about? I seen it mentioned on the videofitness forum but I thought it was a gym workout.Is it a video you buy and do at home?

Lori:

There's another thread on Spinervals entitled "Spinners out there? Ideas for workouts?"

You can also go to www.coachtroy.com and see. They are videos that you do while on a spin bike. Some people are motivated to workout on their own, but I prefer someone telling me how to torture myself.
