I think I am going to check into one of the online food diaries y'all have referred to and I'm getting Master Your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels. I was wondering if any of you have read THE BECK SOLUTION or THE INSTINCT DIET and if so what your opinions are?
I have come to recently realize that over the past 14 years the 40 pounds I have battled with have never been lost in a healthy or balanced way.
I have used ephedra (loved it, miss it)
phentermine (loved it, but can't get a doctor to prescribe anymore)
stress (20 pound in 6 weeks, but I guess that's what happens when you get violently ill every time you eat)
compulsive exercise (4-6 hours a day combined with all of the above)
the weight has always come back when I've gotten burned out from the exercise regimine so I really need a lifestyle change like so many of you have embraced. In keeping a food journal I have realized I eat like a teen-ager still and have no clue where to start because I am so off base. I do have good knowledge of what I should do, but don[t know how...if that makes sense.
Maybe in looking for book and nutrition referrals I am still looking for a quick fix. I don't know. I just feel very lost and don't want to waste another 14 years obsessing over how fat I am.
Thanks for any hints or advice. I value your input because I have read many of your posts and recognize how dedicated so many of you are to a healthy and balanced lifestyle!
