Sorry...one more question

I have a link for a good hamstring exercise but I was wondering if the roll outs Cathe does on the ball would be a good sub for deadlifts. I also read in an older post that even doing deadlifts with lighter weight would be a sub. Any other suggestions? What about the pizza presses in B&G? Or would that be more glute work.

I just recently brought more dynabands and it came with a little booklet on different exercises you could use with them. One is a standing leg curl (looks similar to the sts blog pic) I personally havent tried that exercise yet but it looks interesting. May want to give that a try.

To sub for deadlifts, you'd need more than one exercise. Roll-ins would work the hamstrings, but you'd need an exercise for spinal erectors (like supermans or bird dogs) to hit the back muscles that DL's do. Pizza presses would hit glutes more, and some hamstring as well. Since DL's hit everything from hamstrings up through the back, roll-ins plus bird dogs or supermans plus pizza presses would hit the same groups of muscles.

You lift your R arm and L leg and alternate those. You can do them either from a plank position or all the way flat on the ground. It's a variation on a Superman.

>Thanks! This may be be a stupid ?, but what are bird dogs?

On hands and knees (in yoga 'cat pose' position) lift opposite arm and leg (so you look like a dog who just spotted a bird).
