Soreness

I was wondering, if I worked out yesterday and am really, really sore today, if I am still sore tomorrow would it be ok to work out anyway? I am sore to the touch and when I move, so did some stretching only today.
 
Hi Bwest. REALLY, REALLY sore is the kind of sore that usually comes from a new workout or from working out after taking some time off. I like to respect this soreness and give it that one extra day to recover. In the meantime you can take a nice warm bath with epsom salt and then do light stretching once out of the tub while muscles are warm.

This REALLY SORE soreness is most likely never going to feel like this again after the second time (unless you don't do the workout again for a few weeks). The first adaptation experience is usually the most uncomfortable and then as you get more familiar with the workout, your muscles will recover form their soreness a bit faster.

Thank you so much, you were right on. This was a new workout. I'll take the warm bath and then stretch again. Really appreciate your help.
